August No Buy!

So I'll start with last week...
8/13 $25 pedicure (I had set the money aside for it, so I don't feel too bad about it!)
8/14 $2 on a drink at Chipotle (I had 2 free meal cards, so that counts for something right!? ;) )
8/15 $2 on an iced coffee + $3.15 on tolls
8/16 $3.15 on tolls
8/17 $40 on groceries (stuck to budget - yay)
8/18 No buy (I paid the rent, but I feel like that can't count, right!? lol)
8/19 $2 on a drink at Panera while I study (I can't not purchase something while I sit there and use their wifi for 2 hours..), $2.50 on a chalk board marker (wedding craft, but I used a 40% off coupon!), $4 in quarters (laundry), $15 at Target (groceries).

Ok so only one no buy so far.. BUT.. I didn't mindlessly put things into the cart at the grocery store. I didn't get Panera after my study session for dinner like I wanted to (instead I made a yummy dinner with the salmon I thawed this morning), I gave myself a limit at Target and I stuck to it, and I didn't buy anything unnecessary.

I've given myself a strict "personal" spending limit lately and I feel like I'm doing a good job of sticking to it so far.

8/20 $6.30 on a car wash (hey, it needed it, lol)
8/21 $30 to renew my driver's license

Doing ok so far ! Definitely going to make more of an effort in September since I just started this thread this week. And it's my Bday weekend, so we will be spending some money going to dinner/wineries with friends.

I love this! I'm definitely in for September, but I'll start late here if that's okay. I don't really have a goal yet for the 16 days I'm counting, just want to spend as little as possible from my household spending money (which includes groceries). Maybe for September I'll have a more concrete goal in mind.

8/16: $99 groceries
8/17: $0
8/18: $0
8/19: $0
8/20: $0
8/21: $18 DS kid night out (Date night too, but DH is paying :lovestruc)

4/16 No Buy Days
Great start!

Everybody is doing GREAT! EpiStitch, you are right on the money. When we stay our of the stores, we don't spend money, and we have money to reduce the debts. Eventually, the debts are paid off, and then we have some fun money to play!

Up to 12 days! I know today will be a buy day since I need to go to Costco and get horse feed tonight. I expect we'll have buy days on Friday and Saturday as well since we'll be at another horse show.

So glad I found this thread! Ya'll are amazing!

I'm starting really, really late, but am committed to keeping money spent on anything but necessities to under $120 (I need something to buy last minute wants as per clothing/storage/room stuff etc.) until we go to WDW on Sept. 10. That's all I'll track. Groceries, gas and eating out with DH or taking dear niece to lunch won't count. Starting NOW.

Now if I can keep myself out of Goodwill at lunch today. . .
