Yea, it's my first post on DIS Boards! Hello fellow August travel buddies!

DH, DS and I will be joining in the fun from August 25th thru September 1st at POFQ. It's been three years since we've been down and our first time staying on site. Expedition:Everest here we come!

Welcome to the DIS.

My son and I will be there August 24-Septemeber 3.

I had to cancel our Easter trip , but I'm really excited about the August trip.

Now I get to do all of the planning again.

The weather won't be as nice as April, but we won't have to deal with the crowds.

We are staying at the polynesian resort (but might mix in with the dolphin for a split?). Staying August 2 > 19th! My b-day is the 4th, but we don't count that anymore. And we are taking our nephew to wdw for his 1st trip. He is 8 year old.

Arriving at poly on Aug 12th through the 19th Cant wait to make ps for ohana and try to get all the character meals the kids want will hope and pray for Cindy's Breakfast again I heard you have to book this now at 180 days out so I guess tomorrw is the day to start for that
Maybe we will have to try and set up a meet and greet sometime this week

Today is 180 days out from August 12 isn't it? I am going August 12-18 and am going to call later for all my ADR's. Not booking Cindys though or I would have called first thing in the morning.

I too would take heat over crowds but we will be prepared for the worst and hope for the best!!


we went in SLOW September last year....it should be interesting


paid for half already and close to done with saving for the other half...
put the kids on the Disney Chore checklist (to earn money)
sent a shoutout to all family about Disney dollars for birthdays and Easter and all...

won 150 bucks at the casino and put it right in the Disney Fund...

now just waitin' til Aug and waitin on a airfare deal!!

We are also visiting in Aug, Aug 14 -18th then the Disney Cruise 19 - 26th. Staying at Old Key West resort, and Celebrating my 49th bday on the 15th.

I am a little concerned since the august operating hours are out, they seem longer than the past few years, and does that mean they are expecting large crowds? Anyone else get this feeling? I know august earlier is still crowded, just hoping not july crowded.

We are in the 140;s finally!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom and I will be at Disney August 29- Sept 3. We're staying at AS Movies! I have booked a couple of ADRs, one at Crystal Palace for breakfast and another at 50s Prime Time Cafe for dinner our first night there! We may book a couple more, but we're not sure!

We are going August 19-Sept. 1 then on to Kennedy for a night. Can't wait!

We'll be there August 18-26th at the Dolphin. Our first family trip was 6 years ago so we're really excited to go again. Hoping for smaller crowds than our last June visit. We can take the heat, but not the crowds.

then DH gets shipped back home, & i stay until 9/4 with my DPs & DB's family (BWV)

btw, that last week of august is our FAV time of year.......lower crowds, warm (nuttin' below high 80's or 90's for me )
