At check-in... do they know?

I was just wondering if the CM's that work the registration desk at check-in know how many times and when I have stayed at the Disney resorts? Is that information available to them on their monitors? :flower3:

Although I can't say for sure, I'd be surprised if they didn't. Most hotel chains keep a record of their visitors and with internet connections they can pull up all the data on a particular guest.
With enough personal data such as name and address, their db's can store all kinds of info and pull it up on demand.

Sometimes when making reservations with CRO they can see the total number of times my family and I have stayed at the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge which has been a lot since May of 1998 when we started to stay onsite. Plus we get the same comment from Cast Members when checking into the Atrium Club Concierge floor at the Contemporary because they can also see all our stays there. However I think they do not see our Wilderness Lodge stays since they are different Resort.

Last time we checked in at POP, the CM asked me if I liked the 50's building the last time I was there... So I'd say they can see some if not all your history when you check in.

I think they can - now that I'm in 3 digits sometimes they look at me funny, or comment on how many times I've stayed there. This last time they asked me how long it took me to get that many visits - I had to tell them that those were only the visits since they became computerized, LOL!

Central Reservations definitely knows!

They might have some idea, but I don't think it's 100%. The only information they get is name/address/phone number. So if you move.. how do they know it's you???

I think once your name is in their computer and they type it in, that is how they can see every stay you have had at a WDW Resort even if you would have moved.

I think they know. Last time I called CRO and made a reservation- they asked if they had my children's ages correct- they did! They added the years and everything. They even knew their names. Funny- ds the visit before was under 3 and the last visit he was 3 so the cm commented that he required a ticket this time- I think they started keeping up with kids' ages to prevent people fibbing about ages! ha! :rotfl: They know, they definitely know!!!

When I worked in various departments in the casino industry, nearly everyone that had a computer in front of them knew everything about your visits to the property, some departments had access to more info. than others. I would imagine Disney does the same, but I don't know this for sure.

Doh! Now my three year old can't stay three for any more years... back to the baby factory for a newer model

They may have the information, but I swear they don't use it. Every check-in I have takes WAAY to long.

If I tell them I've stayed there many times, then the front desk CMs should drop it to the basics. Here is your building, do you need tickets, do you need charging priviledges, take my CC# info and let me on my way.

Also, I think the value resorts get more "Earning My Ears" CMs than anywhere else on property, which is probably as it should be, but I really would like for once to have a CM checking me in that knows what they are doing!!

Dec '05 I stayed at POP with my mom for 9 days, returned home two days before Christmas for less than two weeks (during which time I celebrated Christmas and signed for a new house), then took my GD to WDW Jan 10th. When my GD and I checked in at POP the CM laughed and said 'Weren't you just here less than than three weeks ago?' I told her yes and that I had stayed at POP quite a few other times. She laughed, looked at her monitor, and said 'yes, I see that." She had us checked in and on our way in just a few minutes.

I have a silly question? When you call CRO and get the automated blurb about how many times you have visited the resort since 2000 and something about 1 of them since 2002 are they referring to just visiting the parks or staying onsite and visiting the parks? I ask because I have been to Disney 8 differenttimes but never stayed on property before and I always enter that I have visited before. Just curious exactly what "visit" refers to? Thanks:wizard:

I'd be embarrassed if they keep track of every time we change an ADR. :rolleyes1

I am pretty sure they know how many times you stay at a particular resort as each time I check-in at the POFQ, the CM says "Welcome Back!"

1) No, that information is not available at check-in.
2) You can view a 12-18 month past ressie.
3) But, that info would have to be manually entered into the new ressie.
4) The Front Desk or Concierge, only sees what has been typed-in.
5) If no one typed anything from comments or past ressies, they don't see it.
6) Thus, they don't see resort you stayed, rooms or type of rooms you stayed.
7) They also cannot see how many times you have stayed.
8) But, they do know kids names/ages and adult names.
9) You gave those when you made the ressie.
