Have a great cruise!

Hi lizzyb!! Sure we can combine them! I looked everywhere I could before starting a thread, even on the meet finder list, which was almost impossible to find until they stickied it!

I don't know how to go about combining threads. Do you? Do you want to just start posting on this one?

I can't wait to get this party started! It seems so far away, but I remember how our Halloween cruise went last year. It seemed like forever when we started meeting on-line, but by the time it finally rolled around there had been several meet ups in Houston and Dallas, then all of us a sudden we were all scrambling to get everything done in time for the cruise! I think we had over 5 FE groups of 25 cabins each!!

Hello everyone! I have joined this this cruise. We were on the 4/18/15. But we had to move to this cruise as we will be attending the 50th Aniversary of the CMA's in Dallas. We are from that area and they are too close not to go for us.

let me introduce us...
Robin - that's me - planner, Disney nerd and all of that., love Pooh, Jiminy Cricket,Gonzo, and the Main Mouse
DH - Jason - puts up with and funds my Disney needs, big fan of Donald Duck
DS14- Sager - he will be 14 when we sail - Disney Nerd like his mama, loves to cruise we he can watch Disney movies and order cookies from room service - will leave the room for food and excursions - loves Pluto, Mickey, Kermit, and Oswald

We are DVC so try and find a way to hit the WDW at least once a year. However, I agreed to a year off in 2015 from the parks. It is hard with the opening of the Mine train, but I will live. 2015 is our 20th Aniversary year so we are going to doing something big in December. But a cruise helps.....:)

After our Alaskan cruise this June, this will be our first trip on. The Fantasy completing a cruise on all of the ships. I cruised reluctantly our first time. Now, it is DH and DS's favorite way to do Disney.

Look forward to anothe great sal!

Hi All,

We too are booked for this cruise. Our party will be me (Kevin), DW (Karen), DS (Ethan, 15 @ time of cruise) and DD (Emma, 12 @ time of cruise).

This will be our second cruise (only previous was a 4 night on the Dream in 2013). We were originally booked for a Med cruise next year in August but school sports schedules started to conflict, so we decided to take a spring break cruise instead.

We booked today too!! Exciting. We are me, dh, dd (11), dd (9) and ds(4)

We did the first Alaska cruise this year on the Wonder. It was good but we weren't blown away. Everything I read on the Disboards says that that cruise did not show off Disneys usual flair so I begged dh to give it one more try. I'm the disney super freaky fan, he's the good natured tolerator.

We were blown away by the character interactions and the shows so I'm excited to get to experience those again. My baby boy and Belle were in love, she kissed him on his cheek and he wore the lipstick mark for the rest of the day.

We're trying to decide on doing b2b with may 2, or jump on another cruise line. Luckily we have until February to decide.

I'm excited to share our plans and experiences with you all.

Amy and I were originally heading to Gretna Green to renew our vows for our 20th but it wasn't in the budget so she sent me on coming up with other ideas and surprise, surprise I went straight to DCL :beach:

We've done a B2B, 4 Bahamians, 1 Western Caribbean, on the Magic x2, Dream x1 and Wonder x2. So now we are looking at an Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy to round out all of the fleet.

We have loved doing the FEs, dressing to the 9s and Pirate.

Jim

Hello
We just switched to this cruise and are excited.
My daughter and I did the wonder to Alaska so this is our 2nd dis cruise. My mom my sister her husband there sons who are13 and 3. We also have my other sister and her husband going.
Is there a fe started? I put a request to join the Facebook group..
We are so ono excited

This is our second Disney cruise. Our first one was on the Magic. We are so excited to try the newest ship. I had a friend recommend this board to be able to see who else is going. Our group is myself, DH's , DD13, and DD 10. For the experienced cruisers I have a question about the kids clubs on the Fantasy. I had a friend who cruised when the Fantasy first started and they allowed her ten year old into the tween club and the younger kids club. My daughters birthday is only 15 days after we cruise and she will be 11, will they allow her to move up if she is bored in the younger club? Last time we sailed with cousins so she had a buddy. Thanks for any advice.

Your friend made a good recommendation!

When we sailed on the Dream in 2013 they allowed my (then) 10 year old daughter to participate in activities at Edge (tween club). She also was registered in at the kids club. She participated in events in both clubs. Being so close to 11 I don't think you will have an issue, although I have heard that if the number of tweens is high for a particular cruise they can be a littler stricter on the "policy."

My advice is to visit both clubs with your daughter when you first get on the ship. Get her checked in at the kids club (my daughter liked making flubber and one of the cooking things in the lab), then head to Edge. For us they did suggest that she "try" the kids club first. Make sure to explain your situation, they will most likely already have her name on a list in Edge as a 10 year old. For us they were very accommodating. Like you we also have an older sibling (12 at the time of that cruise) who was also going to Edge so that made things a bit easier.

We might have had to sign a waiver in Edge for her as it is a come and go as you like club (can't remember exactly :confused3, my wife was handling all the details as I was taking pictures), but that was it.

Ok, so funny story about Edge... one night my wife and I went to Palo, the kids got room service, and then they went to Edge for and activity (a magic show I think). After diner, my wife and I went to Currents because she wanted to discreetly check in on our kids in Edge. So we sit down at the bar and she looks back to try to spot them in the club. Well soon enough we see all the kids in the club standing at the window waiving at us (how embarrassing). Later on we found out that once the counselors in the club saw my wife looking back at them from the bar they stopped the activity mid stream to have the kids "embarrass the helicopter parents." This year we will make sure to get our after-diner drinks at any bar besides Currents if our tween is in the club.

First time cruisers and I think we may need some help, lol. I was told to join this thread to sign up for the Fish Extender?? Help, not sure what this is or what I have to do :confused3
