June 16th (Part Seven)-"When you close your eyes, then you realize, any dream is possible!"
First of all,
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF MY WONDERFUL READERS!
May 2014 bring you magic and joy in every aspect of your lives. Really, I adore all of your comments so much. Thank you all for following along with me on this TR; I hope you enjoy the rest of it! Now, on with the report!
Last I left off, our plan was to wander over into Adventureland.
But.
Our path was obstructed.
BY A PARADE!!!!!
I love this parade. So. Much. I know I say this a lot and I probably sound like a broken record, but it really does embody all that Disney stands for: dreams coming true. They encourage children to chase their dreams and tell them that they can do whatever the heck they want. And that's important, because children need to know that. They need to know that even though there will be several obstacles in their way, they can and they will overcome them in order to follow their dreams.
"Fantasies and childhood wishes..."
"Watch them all come true!"
RIP Celebrate a Dream Come True.
I'm quite unhappy that they discontinued it, but I'm sure the new parade will be just as magical, if not more!
I mean, they have a Tangled float. That's all the persuading I needed.
The parade ended and we were really far back in the crowd. It was like every single person in Frontierland just congregated on the bridge in front of Splash Mountain. So, we had to wait a while before we could get through. Once we did, we stopped to buy some water bottles. It was SO hot, so we were definitely trying to keep hydrated.
While waiting in line, I took the time to capture the madness of Disney World in June after a parade.
It almost looks like EPCOT on New Years Eve. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually glad I wasn't at Disney for that, based on all the Instagram pictures I saw. Like, WHOA. SO MANY PEOPLE.
I digress.
ONWARDS!
We followed the legitimate sea of people into Adventureland and eventually meandered over to Pirates!
Yo ho, yo ho. ARGHHH. The language of pirates is a beautiful thing.
It was a swashbuckling fun ride!
Next, we went back to the Hall of Presidents because, again, THE HEAT. And my father is obsessed. That probably contributed to it more.
NAP TIME AGAIN!
It was quite refreshing.
Then someone had to go to the bathroom.
So, where else would we go but the TANGLED BATHROOMS?!
This is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.
We mainly took this time to just relax a bit. My parents sat on a bench while Nick and I wandered around the area to our heart's content.
I was just loving life and taking in every single detail I could. This place is really a sensory overload. Or maybe that's just me.
Nick and I then made it our goal to find as many of Pascal's friends as we could!
We found four of them!
Then it started to lightly drizzle, so we were like, YAY SWEET RELIEF FROM ALL THE HOTNESS SURROUNDING OUR PERSONS.
But then...it stopped drizzling. Instead, it POURED.
It was so crazy. One second there was a nice light rain and then BAM TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR.
Thanks, nature. I appreciate it. Just kidding.
So we all ran to Mickey's PhilharMagic for cover, since you can usually get on it whenever the next show is and it was indoors in air conditioning. So, no heat and no rain sounded GREAT. PhilharMagic is great no matter what the weather conditions are though; it's one of my favorites without a doubt. It's just one of those attractions that is pure Disney Magic for me.
But before we went in, we grabbed Fastpasses for Winnie the Pooh, since the kiosks are right there.
We went into PhilharMagic then, and the doors were about to close as soon as we got in the Beauty and the Beast-esque room but they let us in and we quickly grabbed our seats.
All was going well and I was excited for the show to start!
But then this family came in and sat in the front row and they were highly irritating throughout the whole show. I hope I don't sound like a bad person, but I couldn't deal with them.
First of all, they had this big, light-up toy stick with them and they didn't turn it off once the lights were turned down. A CM had to ask them to put it away and they took approximately five minutes to do that. Then they started talking obnoxiously loud and one of the women stood up and yelled something to someone in their party halfway across the row. She also pulled out her phone and the screen was startlingly bright.
They were all just ridiculously distracting and sort of ruined the majority of the show for me. I felt really bad for the people who were directly behind and around them because they were being so rude. Obviously, nothing can completely diminish the magic of Disney--even that--but it sort of did dim the magic.
Anyway, once we got out, the rain had mostly stopped, so we trekked it over to Storybook Circus!
