A Whole New World, A Whole New Life! -- A Jan-Feb-Mar 2015 TR -- *COMPLETED* 9/29

How did I miss your update? Well, I'm here! What a fun time at Studios. Great score on Toy Story. I loved your drawing of Sorcerer Mickey. I really wanted to do this on our next visit, but it won't be around!:worried: I loved your pictures at the Contemporary. Looking down into Chef Mickey's is a great shot. I was surprised you could walk around BLT. I thought you had to be a member to get in. We are hoping to stay there on our next visit. We just bought in to DVC, but BLT is not our home so it can be tricky. Just hoping for some pixie dust. Hope your school year started off great and your room is finished!:flower3:
Thank you! The animation academy was one of my favorite things in Disney, and I am SO SAD that it's gone! I'm glad I got to do it a few times while we were there.
I honestly don't know if we were supposed to be at BLT or not. The door was open so we just walked right in, but for all I know we were breaking a bunch of rules, haha. :)
Thank you for all your kind words!

I'm loving your report! Now I am scheming on how I can make three months at Disney work for my family! :rainbow:
Thank you! LOL, yes you should totally do it!

Beautiful pictures of the flower and garden festival. I love the Pluto topiary! The floating flowers in the lagoon are beautiful. Did you ever take a friendship boat across? Can't wait for another Magic Kingdom day!

Thank you! Yes, we did take the friendship boat once or twice. It's a very nice ride!

So, we pulled up to Magic Kingdom a little after 2:00.

It was such a beautiful day, and thankfully it wasn't too crowded. We got to the gate, went through bag check, and headed inside the park. Our first stop was Tomorrowland, but not before we stopped in the hub for a few minutes.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv35456%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B%3A%3A99347nu0mrj

We had FastPasses for Buzz Lightyear, so we used those first. No one achieved Galactic Hero, but we all had fun. After that we rode the Peoplemover because, why not? It was just a really nice, warm day, and the ride above Tomorrowland was great. We could even see a little bit more of the new hub.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B%3A%3A5%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7732347nu0mrj

Once we got off the Peoplemover, we headed back through the hub and over to Fantasyland. We walked through Rapunzel's area to get to Liberty Square.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv34333%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7735347nu0mrj

We checked out some of the details of the Tangled section before
heading over to the Mansion at about 3:40. The line was about 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C477%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7738347nu0mrj

We had a great ride through the Mansion, and once we got off we headed into Frontierland. We had FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain, but not until 5:00, so we decided to ride Splash Mountain in the meantime!
The wait was about 20 minutes, and we didn't mind waiting. We had a super fun ride, and nobody got too soaked. After we went down the big drop, I got my camera out and snapped some photos.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv34734%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B773%3B347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv39643%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7743347nu0mrj

By the time we got off of Splash our Big Thunder FP was ready, so we headed right over there. It took us about 10 minutes to get through the line, and we had a great ride. Travis and I rode together in the very back seat, and we left our lap bar up as far as the ride attendant would let us. You lift up out of your seat a little on the drops, and it was just a lot of fun.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3326%3B%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7747347nu0mrj

Once we got off Big Thunder it was about 5:15, so we decided to eat dinner now. We headed inside of Peco's Bills to find a place to sit. They have tons of seating there an it wasn't crowded at all, so we didn't feel bad about taking up a table.
We chatted while we ate about what our after-dinner plans were. We were planning on getting back to Fort Wilderness that night to watch the movie on the big screen, which was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Because of that we decided to start making our way out of the park once we were done eating.
We made our way out through Adventureland and down Main Street, which was looking amazing this evening.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv38%3A62%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7749347nu0mrj

Once we got to the dock it was about 15 minutes before a boat showed up. We had an amazing ride back to the Fort surrounded by a glorious sunset.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv347%3C%3A%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C74%3B7753347nu0mrj

It was about 6:30 by the time we walked from the docks back to the RV, which meant we had about 2 hours until the movie started. We hung out at the RV for a while, unpacked our bags and put all of our stuff away, went to fill up our resort mugs, and got ready to go down to the movie. We got in our comfy clothes, packed some snacks, grabbed our camp chairs, and headed down to the movie/campfire arena. Mom isn't a big movie fan, especially when the only seating options are benches or camp chairs, so she opted to stay back at the RV while the rest of us went to the movie.
There were quite a few people there, but we still got a great spot. We got there a little early, but before long the movie was starting up (and it was actually the correct one this time!). We had never seen Alexander before, and we really enjoyed it! It was super cute and funny, and the story is really great.
Once the movie was over we packed up our stuff and made the short walk back to the RV. It was after 10:00 at this point, so we all got ready for bed. Today had been an amazing and busy day, and we were glad that we got so much done. Tomorrow we planned on getting work one in the morning and then heading to - you'll never believe it - Magic Kingdom again in the afternoon. I don't remember why we went two days in a row, but nobody was mad!

Beautiful sunset! You can't beat that view. We just borrowed Alexander from the library and our kids loved it. Such a great family movie night movie everyone will enjoy.

I think now is when you were going to be back at WDW, right? How are you enjoying the Cars suite? Who are you all dressing as for the Halloween party? I hope everyone is having a great trip now or whenever you go.

Awesome!
Loving this TR. I found you on IG and know you are having a great time now. I can't wait for more!

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. My dd10 and I have been reading your tr during lunch for the last week or so.

She is homeschooled and we just got back from a camping trip.

How awesome it must be to live at Disney.

Did you buy your camp chairs at Ft. Wilderness, or did you already have them before your trip?
We brought ours from home!

I know, so beautiful! We've rented that movie a few times since we've been home and we still love it. :)

Yes, we just got back! As soon as I finish this TR I will be started that one. We had an amazing time!

Aw, thank you so much for reading! I am glad you are enjoying it.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update on what's going on. We just got back from our trip back to Disney World, and we had an amazing time. I had hoped to be done with this TR by the time we went on our trip, but since I started school things have been extremely busy. I hope to be done with this TR as soon as possible so that I can start writing about the trip we just took. I have a feeling it will be a little easier to write about a nine day trip than a ninety day one! I want to thank you all again for continuing to read, like, and leave supportive comments. We're almost to the end, so hang in there!

Today we woke up and hung around the RV, getting our work and school done. Mom made lunch around noon, and we ate outside. At 1:30 they were playing Name That Song at the pool, so Sam, Travis, and I decided to go down and play. The game lasted for a while, and we ended up coming in second place. It was a lot of fun! We got back to the RV around 2:00, where we hung out for a while before getting ready to head over to Magic Kingdom. We made sandwiches for dinner, packed our backpacks, and headed out a little before 3:30. We walked up to the boat dock where we waited just a few minutes for the boat to come, and we made the nice trip over to the park. Once we got there and got up to the gates, we noticed that there were a bunch of large cameras and lights set up. We tried to figure out what they were filming, and that's when we noticed Steve Harvey standing there! I have absolutely no idea what he was there for, but it was pretty cool to see him. There were some ladies there tat were absolutely freaking out over him. He came over and talked to them, and I thought the one of them was just going to keel over with delight. It was quite amusing.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A465%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C7%3C73883347nu0mrj

We stayed to watch for a few minutes, but we still couldn't figure out exactly what was going on, so we decided to head into the park. Our first stop was Journey Under the Sea, which we had a FastPass for. We waited less than 5 minutes before boarding our clam shell and heading under the sea! The Little Mermaid was one of the movies of my childhood, plus I remember the first time I rode this ride back in 2013, so I always love this one.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C657%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C7%3C83735347nu0mrj

Once we got off we decided to do Haunted Mansion, so we made our way through Fantasyland over there. We waited about 20 minutes, and we had a great time. After that our FastPasses for Jungle Cruise were almost ready, so we made our way through Frontierland to Adventureland. We still had a little bit of time to spare, so we decided to do the Pirate's Adventure, which is the little scavenger they have through Adventureland. You get a pirate map and hunt all around helping Jack Sparrow discover Calypso's treasure. It's actually a lot of fun!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3969%3A%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95647347nu0mrj

It's an interactive activity where you scan your Magic Band on touch points and the landscape reacts in different ways. Sometimes stuff will talk, pop out, or light up.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C267%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95652347nu0mrj

Once we were all done, it was time for our Jungle Cruise FP. We headed down there and got in line, which still took about 15 minutes. That's a little long for FastPass, but we didn't mind. We had a very fun cruise with a great skipper!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A%3A%3B4%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95653347nu0mrj

It was getting close to 5:45 once we got off, so we decided to eat dinner now. We headed back up near Pirates where they have some outdoor seating across the street. We ate at a table there and had a very nice time. Once we were done we decided to ride Pirates since it was right there and the wait was only 20 minutes. The line wasn't bad, and soon enough we were boarding our pirate ship. We had a fun ride, even though we got a little wet on the hill.
We decided that we wanted to go to the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor tonight, so we started to make our way through Frontierland and Liberty Square over the bridge to Main Street. We got to the ice cream parlor where there was a line almost out the door. We all decided on what we wanted, then Travis and I went to go find a table to sit out while the rest of them stayed to order. The castle was looking beautiful, so I had to take some photos.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv36352%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95657347nu0mrj

There were no tables available outside the parlor, so we went up to the Tomorrowland Terrace where there are tons of tables. Travis and I texted them our whereabouts and waited there for them to show up.

They arrived with ice cream in hand a little after 7:00, and we all sat down with our treats.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A8%3B4%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95659347nu0mrj

We had a really nice time enjoying our ice cream together, and it was just a really nice night.
Once we were done we headed into Fantasyland to ride Pooh Bear. The line took about 15 minutes, which was fine. Pooh Bear is one of Mom's favorite movies, so she really enjoys that ride.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv37467%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A4%3A%3A%3B%3A347nu0mrj

It was about 8:00 now, and we started making our way through Fantasyland through Tomorrowland and over the bridge to the hub.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv38%3B92%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A99%3B%3C5347nu0mrj

The moon looked so amazing over Tomorrowland tonight!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A598%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A99%3B%3C8347nu0mrj

We started making our way down Main Street, but it was a little difficult considering that the Electrical Parade was going on. We tried going through the back exit, but for some reason it wasn't open tonight. So, we fought our way through the crowd, and of course I got some photos on the way.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C467%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A99%3B%3C%3B347nu0mrj

We eventually got out of the crowd and were able to exit the park. Once we got out we headed to the boat dock, where we waited 10-15 minutes for a boat. The moon was seriously so big and bright tonight, but my pictures don't really do it justice.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv36337%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A9%3A234347nu0mrj

We had a nice trip back to the Fort, and once we got there we walked back to the RV. It was close to 9:00 when we got back, so we just spent the rest of the night hanging out and watching TV. We got to bed around 10:00 with plans of heading to Epcot for some more Flower and Garden tomorrow!

Missed your updates, but glad you had an awesome time at WDW just now! Welcome back!
Thank you!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your report
Thank you so much for reading, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Will the one after this be called "A Whole New Trip Report"? ;)
Haha, probably not. I haven't really thought about a name yet, but I'm going to try to make it more related to the trip. :)

I love the picture over tomorrowland with the moon shining bright. I'm so excited to see your pictures of the Halloween party!

Today was Friday! We got up and got all of our work done before lunch. Mom made lunch around noon, and afterwards we started getting ready to head to Epcot! We left the RV a little before 1:00 and headed to the bus stop. Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for a bus this time, and we were arriving at Epcot about 1:15. The Festival Center was open today for Flower and Garden, so that was where we headed first. We made our way over there once we got through bag check and scanned our bands.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B%3A3%3B%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B68347nu0mrj

We hadn't been in this pavilion in what seemed like forever, so it was really cool to be able to go inside again after so many years. It was basically how we remembered, except for the fact that instead of being filled with attractions it was filled with Flower and Garden merchandise, information, and even a little restaurant.
We spent some time just wandering around the place, checking out the gift shop, and watching the little movie they had about putting the festival together. There was a lot of really neat stuff to look at, and they had the most beautiful orchids spread all over the place.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv37637%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B73347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C833%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A98538347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv37362%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A98545347nu0mrj

It was so great to see something that we had never experienced before, especially because it was so beautiful. Mom and Dad were really enjoying themselves as well.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A762%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A98535347nu0mrj

We spent about 30-45 minutes in there checking everything out. They had all sorts of great merchandise for sale, awesome food offerings, and we even saw them doing a couple presentations.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv365%3A%3B%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A98536347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv35397%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B83347nu0mrj

We had a really great time checking out the Festival Center, but soon it was time to move on.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv367%3A3%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B82347nu0mrj

We headed outside where it was pretty dreary and over cast, and made our way over to Test Track to use the FastPasses that we had. We passed Mission: Space on our way, where we spotted Buzz Lightyear.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C3%3B2%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B84347nu0mrj

We got over to Test Track and scanned our bands for FP. The line only took about 15 minutes, and we all made some pretty cool cars.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv397%3C8%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B86347nu0mrj

Once we got off we decided to head in the direction of World Showcase. There were tons of pretty flowers to look at along the way.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B7%3C3%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B92347nu0mrj

We ended up making our way to Mexico, where we checked out the pepper and orchid gardens they had there.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B637%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B96347nu0mrj

The orchids were definitely my favorite.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B279%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C8%3A95%3B9%3B347nu0mrj

It was starting to get a little rainy at this point, and we really didn't want to be walking through World Showcase getting all wet, so we decided to head back home. The main reason we had come today was to go to the Festival Center, because it's only open on the weekends. We still hadn't explored the World Showcase during Flower and Garden, but we would be sure to do that next time.
We started making our way to the park exit and to our bus stop. We got there and it started raining even more, so we were glad we made the decision to leave. Our bus came within 15 minutes, and after stopping at Wilderness Lodge we made it back to the Fort. We waited 5 minutes for an internal bus and got back to the RV a little after 4:00.
We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening hanging out at the RV. We might have gone down to the campfire if it weren't for the weather, but we still had a good time at home. We had sandwiches for dinner around 6:00, and after dinner we just hung out together, played a couple of games, and watched TV. It was a really great night in. We went to bed around 9:30 with plans of spending some time at Hollywood Studios the next day!
