A Whole New World, A Whole New Life! -- A Jan-Feb-Mar 2015 TR -- *COMPLETED* 9/29

Today we woke up and got to our regular routine. We didn't have any big plans today; we were just going to spend some time at Downtown Disney later in the afternoon. We spent the morning doing our work and Mom made lunch around noon. After lunch we just hung out around the Fort for a while. Travis and I decided to go swimming for a while, so we headed down to the pool. You could definitely tell the difference between the amount of people now as opposed to a month or two ago - the warm weather really makes a difference!
Travis and I swam around for a while and today we even deiced to participate in the pool party. We hula hooped and played some of the games, and it was actually pretty fun. After a while we decided to head back home and get showered off. We made it back and found Mom had come back from a bike ride and Dad and Sam had been fishing.
After we got showered off and changed, Travis and I rode our bikes up to the Settlement to fill up our resort mugs.
Once we got back we decided to start getting ready to go to DTD. We were mainly going to spend time at DisneyQuest today, so Mom decided to stay back at the RV. Video games aren't really her thing, so she stayed back to have some time to herself. The rest of us threw some stuff in a backpack and headed out for the bus stop. After waiting for both buses and making the crazy drive over there (that whole area was still such a mess), we made it there around 3:15. After disembarking the bus and heading inside, we decided to stop at Goofy's Candy Co. and get slushees! They have really good slushees there and a lot of good flavors. They let you mix flavors too, so that's cool.

Once we payed for our cool treats, we started making our way out of the marketplace and toward the west side and DisneyQuest, where we scanned our bands to get inside.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C8%3C8%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A478692347nu0mrj

We spent about an hour and a half to two hours inside, playing the different arcade and interactive games. We played the Pirates of the Caribbean game, the Aladdin game, and lots of the other little games. They also have a drawing academy there on the same floor as Cyberspace Mountain, so Dad and I drew Minnie Mouse while the boys created their own roller coaster.
Around 5:00 we decided to head out and back home. We made our way all the way back through the marketplace and to the bus stop, where we waited about 15 minutes for a bus. Once we got out of the crazy construction area and made it back to the Fort, we just had to wait about 5 minutes for our internal bus to come.
It was a little before 6:00 by the time we got back to the RV. Mom was there waiting for us, and we all had sandwiches for dinner together. We spent the rest of the night in the RV, watching TV and just hanging out. The campfire movie tonight was Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, which we weren't really interested in.
We hung out until about 10:00 when we all went to bed. Today had been an incredibly fun day, and tomorrow we were excited to be heading to Magic Kingdom!

Still loving your updates. The Trail's end Buffet sounds great...I loved the food at Hoop de doo so I'm sure that is even better...What fun that you could see the horses that work at MK up close!! Haven't seen Rafiki in years either!!! You made me want to see him again!

Thank you! The food there really is so good, and the horses are amazing!

Sounds like you had a fun time at Disney Quest. Yippee for Magic Kingdom!
Definitely!

Nice trip report !

Thank you so much!

Today was Thursday! We got up and did the same old, same old. We got most of our school and work done by lunch, which was around noon. We finished up the rest of the work we had after lunch, then we decided to hang out around the Fort for a while before heading to the Magic Kingdom. Travis and I decided to go swimming, so we got changed and headed down there. Mom went for a bike ride and Dad and Sam stayed back to hang out at the RV and maybe go fishing.
After Travis and I swam for a while, Sam decided to come down and join us. He didn't come swimming, but he came to hang out at the pool with us. Name that Disney Song trivia started at 1:30, and we all decided to play together! We made an excellent team and did very well! We had a lot of fun, and after trivia was over Travis and I swam some more before heading back to the RV. We got back around 2:30, and after showering off and changing we started getting ready to head to MK! We packed our backpacks and headed out for the boat dock a little after 3:00.
We took our Rapid Refill mugs with us to fill up at Pioneer Hall before catching a boat. After our stop at Pioneer Hall we made it to the boat dock and there was a boat waiting for us! It was a beautiful day today, and we had a very nice ride over to the park.
Once we got there and got inside the gates, we split up. I was heading to New Fantasyland to meet Gaston while everyone else was going to ride a few rides in Fantasyland.

We made our way over there together but I stayed in Belle's village where I got right in line. I ended up waiting about 40-45 minutes, which isn't bad at all for Gaston. When it was almost my turn my family actually showed back up to watch! I think they still felt bad about missing my big moment with him last time. It was just about five more minutes and then it was my turn! I had a great time meeting Gaston today, and I think I was able to keep a little more composure this time. We had a nice conversation about how wonderful he is, and thankfully I didn't get paraded around today. I think my family was disappointed that nothing exciting happened, but I was relieved!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B655%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B84284347nu0mrj

Once we said goodbye, we headed out to ride some more rides! Everyone else had ridden the Little Mermaid, Dumbo, and the Teacups, so we headed in the other direction and decided to do It's a Small World. We only waited about 10 minutes for that, and we had a great time!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C%3B%3A5%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B84296347nu0mrj

It was a little after 5:00 now, so we decided to go find a place to eat dinner. We just packed sandwiches today, so we headed over to our favorite spot in Liberty Square and found a table there. We had a very nice time eating, and when we were done we decided to take a ride on the river boat. We hadn't ridden it in a while and it was right there, so we decided why not!
We made it onto the 5:30 departure and had a wonderful time cruising around the Rivers of America.
We hung out on the top deck for most of the ride, and there are some really great views from up there.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B%3A99%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B83567347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv333%3A3%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B83572347nu0mrj

Once we got close to the end we started making our way to the lower deck, which is where you disembark. We arrived back in Liberty Square shortly and made our way off of the boat. Once we were off we made a quick stop at the Tangled restrooms. We spent a few minutes over there looking for the hidden Pascals they have around. We found a couple, but they're actually pretty hard to spot!
Next we moved on and headed back through Liberty Square and into Frontierland. We had FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain! We made our way over there and got in the FP line, which took about 10-15 minutes total.
We waited so we could ride in the back, and we had a super fun ride! Sam and Travis rode together in the very back, then Mom and I were together, and Dad was in front of us. Dad had the camera during the ride and he kept turning around trying to get photos of us! We couldn't stop laughing and it was just a really great ride.
Once we got off we got off we started making our way back through the way we came to get back to Fantasyland. We had some FastPasses coming up over in that area so we figured we would do a couple of things before our FP's were good.
We eventually made our way to the Storybook Circus, where we decided to ride the Barnstormer.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv37%3A75%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B95457347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv36944%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B95458347nu0mrj

The posted wait time was 20 minutes, but it only ended up taking around 15. We had another great ride on this one, too!
I noticed some really cute details that I hadn't before, including the "Yah-Hah-Buoy" - sound familiar?
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv39%3B35%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B9545%3A347nu0mrj

Once we got off we decided to make our way over to Tomorrowland. There's a little walking trail that goes behind the circus and lets out right at Space Mountain, so we took that. The only downside is that there's a smoking area right on the path there, but it isn't too bad.
Once we got over there we decided to do the Laugh Floor! We seemed to see that show a lot, but it was still super funny every time!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv392%3B7%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B95464347nu0mrj

We waited about 10-15 minutes for the next show, and it was a really good one!
Once the show let out we still had a little bit of time until our FP for Buzz Lightyear, so we looked around in the Merchant of Venus shop for a little while. Merchant of Venus is also the dump shop for Stitch's Great Escape, so there is a lot of Stitch merchandise in there!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv33683%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B89%3A58347nu0mrj

The shop is also connected to Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies, where they sell ice cream and smoothies. We were planning on getting something to eat tonight, and Mom and Travis decided to get some ice cream now. They both got ice cream sundaes and we took them outside so they could sit and eat. It was a really beautiful night, and we were having a really spectacular day.
Once Mom and Travis finished their treats, it was time for our Buzz FP's! We headed over and scanned our bands, and we practically walked on the ride.
Nobody was a galactic hero tonight, but we still had fun.
It was about 8:30 when we got off the ride, and tonight we had FastPasses for Wishes! The fireworks didn't start until 10:00, but Celebrate the Magic was at 9:45 and we hadn't used FP's for Wishes yet, so we wanted to get there early. We got there about an hour early, but we weren't the first ones there so we felt like that was a pretty safe time to arrive.
There weren't a ton of people there yet, so we found a nice spot to sit in the grass. After we got settled Sam and I decided to go get something to eat over in Adventureland. We wanted to try the citrus swirl that they have at the Sunshine Tree Terrace, so that's where we went.
This was our first time getting ice cream in Adventureland since they switched the locations of Sunshine Tree Terrace and Aloha Isle. It was a little strange, but I think it was a smart move because of how popular Dole Whips are.
There were only a couple of other people in line, so it was just a few minutes before we had ice cream in hand.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C%3B74%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B89%3A63347nu0mrj

We grabbed our treats and started walking back to the Hub. We had a nice time sitting in the grass and eating, just waiting for Celebrate the Magic to start!
As time went on more and more people started coming into the FP area, but it never got overly crowded. Everything was actually really great until the show was about to start.
Everyone in the FP area was either sitting in the grass or standing in the back, and that worked out great. Just before Celebrate the Magic was about to start, a couple of people decided that they were going to get up and stand right in the front of all of the people who were sitting down. A couple of people asked them politely to either sit down or move, but the people basically just ignored them. We actually decided to just move and stand up in the back, which ended up being a better viewing spot anyways.
Soon enough the show was starting, and it was just as magical as always!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv39264%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3A%3B89%3A83347nu0mrj

Once Celebrate the Magic was over it was just 5 minutes until Wishes! Pretty soon we were hearing Jiminy Cricket and the show began!

Once the show was over it was time to join the mass exodus out of the park. We all knew our way home, so we decided not to try and all stay together but just meet back up at the boat dock. We were all able to make it out and to the boat dock, where we met up and waited about 5 minutes for our boat to come. We had a nice ride back to the Fort and by the time we got back and walked home it was a little after 10:30.
We all got ready and headed to bed with plans of going to Hollywood Studios for a while tomorrow before going to Downtown Disney to see the new Cinderella at the AMC Theater!
Today had been incredibly magical, and I think now was the time when we started realizing that our time in Florida would soon come to an end, so we should make the most it while we can!

Just heading to bed as I get up super early for work,so this will be a short reply, but I am so happy I found your TR and have spent my spare weekend time reading it. What an a amazing journey for you all to take together!!

Today was our last day before we started our "vacation"! After today we would take off of school and work and spend our final 2 weeks in Florida in full-on Disney mode. So, this morning Mom and Dad went out to gather supplies so we wouldn't have to go out to the store as much later. We kids stayed home, Travis and I got our school done and Sam did his work. Mom and Dad got home from the store around around 11:00 and everyone helped unload the truck. After we got everything put away Mom made an easy lunch and we started getting ready to go to Hollywood Studios! We made dinner and packed our backpacks, then we headed out for the bus stop! We didn't have to wait too long for either bus. We made the short ride over to the park and arrived at Hollywood a little after 1:30.
Our first stop was Tower of Terror, which we had FastPasses for. Everyone except for me rode while I hung out outside. I didn't mind waiting because the citizens of Hollywood were out doing a show, so I got to watch them! The Mayor and Mimi Kaboom were out, and they were totally hilarious. They Mayor ended up accidentally proposing to Mimi, but to the Mayor's relief it didn't last.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv354%3B6%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A4%3A347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv33287%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A54347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv38983%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A5%3B347nu0mrj

After the show was over they still weren't back, so I went and hung out in the shops for a while. Soon enough everyone came back from the ride, and next we decided to do Rock n Rollercoaster single rider. Everyone except Dad got in line; Dad sat outside to wait for us. From beginning to end the single rider line took about 30 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We had a great ride, and once we got off we met back up with Dad and headed off.
Our next stop was Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which we had FastPasses for. We arrived at 3:15 for the 3:30 show. Honestly, I don't think the FP for this is worth it at all. When you have a FastPass you just get to go into the show waiting area before everyone else, which means you get to stand by the doors and go into the theater first. As you probably know, when you enter a theater for a show the Cast Members will instruct you to pick a row and move all the way down to the end to make room for everyone. So, if you get in first that means you will most likely end up all the way at the end of the theater. We aren't big fans of sitting on the edge, but if you are then I would totally go for it. But if not, then I would just recommend waiting in the regular line - it usually isn't that long anyways.
So, we got there for the show and pretty soon we were entering the theater. We ended up in seats really close to the wall, like I said, but we've seen the show before so it was fine. The show is really cute, but I think it's a little out-dated. I can't help but wonder if that's one of the things that won't be around anymore once Hollywood Studios starts going through all of its changes.
After the show was over we started making our way to our next destination, which was Lights, Motors, Action! We hadn't seen this show once yet since we'd been here, so we thought today would be a good day. This would end up being the only time we saw it for the whole trip, but nobody was mad about that. None of us are really big fans of the show, and it kind of gets old if you've seen it multiple times.
The show started at 4:10, so we made it over there as fast as we could. There are plenty of seats in the arena, so we didn't have a problem finding a place to sit once we got there. We got nice seats pretty high up and on the right side.
The show was good, and we were glad that we went to see it! The things the stunt drivers can do are really amazing.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv36669%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A6%3B347nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv35%3B96%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A67347nu0mrj

The show ended a little before 5:00, but it took us a little while to make out way out of the theater. Once we got out we decided now would be a good time to eat dinner. We had 5:45 FastPasses for Toy Story Mania, and after that we would be leaving the park, so we thought now would be the best time to stop and eat. They have some outdoor tables by the Studio Backlot restaurant, which is right near TSM, so we ate there.
By the time we were done it was just about 5:45, so we headed over to the ride! We got in line, which took about 5-10 minutes, and we had a great ride! Mom and I rode together, and I got 254,900 which I was very happy with.
Once we got off the ride it was time to start heading out of the park! Now, for some reason that I simply cannot remember, Dad had to go back to the RV for something. Nobody remembers why he had to go back, but I guess he just must have forgotten something. So that meant that Dad would go back to Fort Wilderness while the rest of us headed to Downtown Disney because tonight we were seeing the new Cinderella at the AMC.
So, we all headed to the bus stop and split up. Dad caught a bus to the Fort while the rest of us got a bus to Saratoga Springs. We had to do that because there are no buses directly from the parks to DTD. We picked Saratoga Springs because it has a walking path to DTD. So, once we arrived at Saratoga Mom and I used our knowledge of the resort from when we got lost there with Bethany to find the walking path again. Once we located it we made the short walk over to DTD.
We then had to make the trek from the Marketplace all the way over to West Side, but it was a nice walk. We got to the theater right around the time that Dad texted saying he was on a bus on his way. So, we headed inside and bought our tickets. We were there extremely early, but we weren't sure how crowded it was going to be. We actually ended up being the first people in line, which was kind of fun.
After we got our tickets we got in line (or started the line, I guess) and waited for Dad to show up. Pretty soon we saw him, and everyone was here! We still had a while to wait, so we made ourselves comfortable. Soon enough a line started to form, and we were glad that we had arrived early! The line ended up getting super long.
They had some cool stuff set up there for the movie, including Cinderella's glass slipper! It was so pretty, and really cool to see in person.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv39946%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A9%3A347nu0mrj

They also had a fancy backdrop from the movie set up.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A8%3B%3A%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3C%3B6%3A4%3A%3A4347nu0mrj

It was all very fun!
While we were waiting in line we noticed that we recognized someone in line behind us! It was actually a Cast Member that worked in the store at Fort Wilderness! We had never talked to him before or anything, just seen him around, but we thought it was funny seeing him there!
Pretty soon we were able to go into the theater and sit down. Being first in line got us prime seats (no moving all the way down the row at the movie theater!)
We really enjoyed the movie, and it was a great experience seeing it there in Disney. The audience was really into it, and everyone cheered at the end.
Once it was over we started the long walk back to the Marketplace bus stops. It was a beautiful evening though, so we didn't mind one bit.
Once we got there we didn't have to wait long for our bus to come, and pretty soon we were back at the Fort. We caught an internal bus back to our loop and walked back to the RV. It was past 10:00 when we got home, so we all got ready and headed to bed!
Today had been a great day, and tomorrow we would start our "vacation" where else but the Magic Kingdom!

LOL about if anyone is a fan of sitting all the way at the edge of the show. You are so right about that FP being worse than no FP at all. It's nice to be near the side where Ariel is, but not all the way at the edge.

Thanks for the tips on the FP. I agree with you on the stunt show. I've seen it a couple of times too and even though it is interesting it is something I could do without. My boys really liked it so I'm sure we'll go back and see it (if it's still there next time we go).
The Cinderella slipper is so cool. It was nice that you were able to get that close to it.

I loved that movie!! How cool you got to see the slipper!! Can't wait to hear about your vacation lol although...sounds like you got plenty of Disney time in anyway when you weren't even ON vacation lol
