A Whole New World, A Whole New Life! -- A Jan-Feb-Mar 2015 TR -- *COMPLETED* 9/29

We woke up this morning around 7:00, ate breakfast, and started on our school and work right away! Doing our homeschool here is really just the same as doing it anywhere else. We do most things on our own; reading from text books, answering questions, stuff like that, and Mom will help us if we need it. Everyone was finished with their school and work by around 10:30, then we started getting stuff ready to go to Typhoon Lagoon! We wanted to eat lunch before we left so that we wouldn't have to carry it around, so we ate around 11:15 then headed out to catch a bus. It took a while to get there because we had to stop at Downtown Disney first, and there is SO much construction going on there. Also, we had to do bus driver switch, so that took some time. We ended up getting to TL around 12:15, and we were very excited!

When we got there we found a spot to leave our stuff, then went to go play! We did most of the water slides, Crush 'n Gusher, the wave pool, and the lazy river. We spent about two and a half hours there, and we had a great time! We caught a bus to EPCOT so that we could transfer to a FW bus.It didn't take too long, and we ended up getting home around 3:30. Once we got home everyone took showers, then we spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out. Dad and Sam worked on leveling the RV, and Mom started fixing dinner. We ate around 6:00, and we had pork chops and corn on the cob. We were even able to eat outside!

After dinner we were going to go play tennis, but the court lights weren't on for some reason. We asked a cast member by the pool and they said they would call someone to turn them on, but they never did. :confused3
So, instead we went to the campfire sing-along! It was SO fun! I would totally recommend it to anyone. We made s'mores, sang songs, and got to dance with Chip and Dale!
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv36738%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D3598%3C%3B%3C663347nu0mrj

They were showing The Shaggy Dog on the big screen that night, but we decided not to stay for that. We went back home and watched the new ABC show Agent Carter. After that, we all got ready for bed! We had plans to go to EPCOT the next day!

We had such similar plans that week! We went to DHS the same night (weren't the lights just amazing) and the campfire then too! I'm so envious that you've made disney your home for a while and I can't wait yo follow along!

That's so funny! Yes, the lights were so spectacular! Thank you for following!

I bet going to Disney parks is excellent motivation for getting schoolwork done quickly.
Yes, it most definitely is!

LOVING this trip report! And all the pics!!
Thank you!

Fantastic read!
thanks so much!

We woke up today around 7:30 with plans of getting our work done, going to the store, and then spending some time at EPCOT in the afternoon. So, we got up and got right to work! Everyone was done with their school and work around 10:00, then we had to run to Walmart to pick up a few things. When we got home, Travis and I went to play shuffleboard, Dad did some fishing, and Sam did some work on the computer. Mom started making lunch around 11:30, and we ate around noon. We had fried rice with chicken. After lunch we cleaned up the kitchen, then got ready to leave for EPCOT! We ended up getting there around 2:00.

The first thing we did was ride Spaceship Earth. It was pretty much a walk-on. After that we stopped into Club Cool to get some drinks. I'm not a big soda fan, but it's still fun to try all the different flavors.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B255%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D359966845%3A347nu0mrj

After that it was time for our Nemo FastPasses. It wasn't like we needed them, though, because it was a walk-on, but we used them anyways. We walked around and looked at the fish for a while, then headed to The Land. Living with the Land was a walk-on, so we rode that.

After Living with the Land, we checked the Soarin' wait. It was too long for us, so we decided to go do Figment, which had pretty much no wait. After we rode Figment it was time for our Test Track FastPasses! I designed a car with Travis, and Mom, Dad, and Sam did one together.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3C649%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D3599648%3A8%3A347nu0mrj

After Test Track we went into Innoventions to check the wait for Sum of All Thrills. It was around 30 minutes, so we decided to do it! I rode with Mom, Sam and Travis rode together, and Dad sat out. Sam and Travis did a crazy intense ride, and Mom and I did a more tame one. We had Mission: Space FP's for later that night, but the line was only 10 minutes, so we decided to just ride it then.
232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3A894%3Enu%3D539%3A%3E23%3B%3E256%3EWSNRCG%3D35996664%3B%3A347nu0mrj

Travis and I did the less intense version, Mom and Sam did more intense, and Dad sat out. We played a little Mission Space Race afterward, then went to go have dinner. We had packed sandwiches that night, and we found a table in the back corner of the Electric Umbrella to sit and eat. After we ate dinner it was a little after 6:00, and we decided to just go home. We stopped into Mouse Gear to look around for a bit, then made our way out of the park and to our bus stop. The Fort Wilderness bus from EPCOT stops at Wilderness Lodge first, and this night we decided to get off at WL to look around. They still had Christmas decorations up!

After spending 10-15 minutes there, we caught a boat back home to the Fort. We looked around in the store for a bit, Travis got an ice cream bar, then we went home. We spent the rest of the night just relaxing and hanging out. We went to bed around 9:30 with plans of going to Animal Kingdom the next day!

I'm so glad I found your report! I'm just loving it!!! What a great opportunity for you and your family. There's nothing better than spending time with family at Disney and you get to do it for three months:). Looking forward to more.

My husband and I have often discussed doing just what your parents did. It sounds like a lot of fun and quality time with family which is great. Love the pictures too, I am a native Floridian but have never camped in my life but my husband is dying to stay at Fort Wilderness. Enjoying your TR.

I am really enjoying your trip report. What a great adventure! :)

Yes, we are having lots of fun together! Camping at the Fort is so great! Camping here is very easy and fun. It isn't too "woods-y" like when you go camping other places. There are bath houses with nice showers, and there is tons of stuff to do!

Still enjoying reading along! Seems like a pretty idyllic lifestyle. Hope the tighter quarters of the RV are not giving you all a bit of cabin fever.

By this day we were finally getting used to waking up in Disney! We woke up this morning around 7:45 and started on our new morning routine. We got all of our work done by around 10:30, then we played basketball, went fishing, and just hung out until lunch. Mom made pasta, and we ate around 11:45. After we ate and cleaned up the kitchen, we got ready to go to Animal Kingdom! After the two bus rides, we got there around 1:15.

There are a lot of walls up in Animal Kingdom at the moment. With all the renovations they're doing in the front near the Tree of Life and the new construction of Avatar Land, there's a lot covered up. We're definitely excited for the new stuff, though!
As soon as we got into the park we went straight to Mt. Everest! It was Travis' first time riding, and he was a little nervous, but excited. We had FastPasses, so we only had to wait 5-10 minutes. The Yeti is finally working again! I had never ridden it with the Yeti working, and it is SO cool. It actually kind of scared me, because I wasn't expecting it! Travis ended up loving the ride, and it is now one of his favorites! After conquering Everest we went to the Pangani trail to look at the tigers.

After we visited the tigers, it was almost time for our Festival of the Lion King FP's, so we headed over to Africa. This was our first time seeing the show in its new location, and it was really nice.

The show is pretty much exactly the same, but we did notice that the animals on the floats have a little more movement. After the show we went over to the safari. We had FP's that were good in 20 minutes, but the stand-by was only 10 so we decided to wait. We ended up walking right on. This safari was hands down one of the best safaris we've ever had! We saw rhinos, cheetahs, lions, ostriches, and tons of other animals! The giraffes got really close, and there was a rhino so close that Dad could have reached out and touched it.

After the safari it was around 4:15, and we decided to head home. We got home and hung out for a while until it was around dinner time. We had decided to get takeout from Trails End on this night. So, we started walking to the Settlement. We tried taking a shortcut, but ended up totally confused. We came to a bus stop and there was a Settlement bus there, so we just hopped on that. The strange thing was, the bus ended up taking us to the Outpost! So, we had to get another Settlement bus from the Outpost, and the bus was PACKED. I think lot of people were going to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. Anyways, we finally got to the Settlement, ordered our food, and walked back home. We got the fried chicken dinner, and it was really good! It came with 10 pieces of chicken, cornbread, and two sides. After dinner we just hung around and relaxed. We were going to go watch Wishes from the beach, but we decided it was too cold outside. We went to bed around 9:30. The next day we had plans of going to Wide World of Sports to pick up Mom's race packet. Side note: Mom was going to run the half marathon, but she hurt her hip while she was training and was not able to run. She still wanted to get her shirt and pin, though.

Thank you! We actually don't spend a ton of time all in the RV together at once. We do a lot of outdoor activities and going to parks and stuff. But when we are all together, we seem to have gotten used to the tighter space!

Great job on the Trip Report. :thumbsup2
Thank you so much!

Love the trip report, Thanks for letting us follow your adventure!
You're welcome! Thank you so much for reading!

You really did have a great safari! I've never seen the lions do anything but sleep. We were stopped once by a rhino just standing in the middle of the road though. :)

This is an awesome post and some great adventure for you and your family. I'm loving this pics and daily descriptions. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Our family is headed to the Fort this June.
