We had a great time on the ship. A few notes, Castaway Cay water was really cold but the weather that day was wonderful. It was a very warm day which helped with the cold water. It seemed that many people left for the ship early as we saw lots of hammocks available that afternoon for those hammock lovers.
One day at Disney World resort is just not enough time for our family. We love the parks and would not choose this option again. It's too much of a teaser for us. This is just our personal opinion but the ship doesn't have that same "majic" as the parks, either.
Key West was too short. It was a waste of time almost. We toured the island in an electric car but would have loved to have done something a little more involved.
We had a fantastic time with the cruise staff. We LOVED our server/asst server Juni and Taner. Marvin, our stateroom host, was super friendly. The only problem we ran into was some bullies in the Edge. I think the counselors felt their hands were tied as to how to treat the problem and the kids wouldn't speak up about the matter because they didn't want to be snitches. By the very end of the cruise, the ship's oficers had to step in. It kind of ruined the experience for the kids to have to deal with those bullies, but outside of that, my son LOVED the Edge and my daughter LOVED the Oceanier's Club/Lab. They never wanted to leave.
The weather the whole trip was EXCELLENT! We never even ran into rough seas. I've been on 3 other cruises and have always had at least a day of rough seas but not this trip. I saw some rain on the portholes one evening but that was the only rain that I saw. As someone said earlier, WDW day was chilly and cloudy. I didn't hear of any major illnesses. They were very good about handing out wipes before every meal and hand sanitizer before boarding the ship from each port of call. I loved that the public bathrooms promoted using paper towels to open the bathroom door before leaving. Overall it was a great time to be had!
