Do you have a Disney Visa? You have to specifically book a FD package. Just booking a room and ticket stay without using the FD offer code will not get you free dining. If you have a Disney Visa, call now, if not, call Thursday.

Tell them you want to book the FREE DINING special. They will take care of it. If you don't mention it, they'll be happy to charge you full price. ;)

Edited to add: When you call on the 9th.

You should call as close to 7am EST as possible and ask what they have available under free dining for your dates. You will also be able to book online once the free dining offer is posted to the Disney website, but that will not be until later in the day on Thursday. For your best chance at getting what you want, call. You MUST say that you want free dining. They will not assume anything if you just call and ask to book a package.

I have a friend who wants to book the Sept FD but needs to pay down her DV first. Can she call and just put the deposit on her DV to book? Does the full balance have to be put on DV too or can she use another card after the initial booking and deposit? (Hoping she can pay down the DV first......credit card debt gives me the heebie-jeebies!)

    TIA for the help!

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll tell her to call and book right away! (Then I'll decide whether to tell her she can use a different card for the balance!)

Did anyone have any luck getting a Standard View room at the WL? That was my original reservation, but when I added the FD they required me to move to a Woods view instead. Just wondering if they blocked out the Standard View rooms completely.

I checked on POP and we love pop we are just trying something different this time and we are already staying at pop the end of this month for my birthday. Not anything else really. We have never stayed at any moderate before only value and deluxe resorts.WE upgraded to deluxe dining plan due to some dinner shows and signature meals. The difference between pop with the upgrade and pofq with the upgrade was indeed 100 dollars more but we still saved money with the FD discount

This is awesome! Although our Disney Visa debit isn't here yet. Should be here by Friday :headache: Hopefully, we can get what we want on Thursday. I will have my alarm set early for Thursday morning! ::yes::

I am so happy to hear that FD is happening this year! Yay!!!

You may want to call today anyway. They only asked me if I had a card. I used a completely different card to book the actual vacation.

You are normally required to put down a minimum $200 deposit on a new reservation to apply the DV FD code or a minimum $200 payment on an existing reservation if you booked with another type of card.

How long does it usually take to get the confirmation email? Changed my reservation earlier but still waiting to get the confirmation with the free dining I've changed some dining reservations and they came through immediately. Hoping it's just computer backups with the amount of calls, but don't know when/if I should call back just to confirm. Thanks!!:hyper:
