I did not get to see the horse as I was asleep when the doc's arrived.

It is now raining here, which means Scott will be driving thru snow on the mountain passes to get home.

Elaine, I also had the shorts out 2 days ago when it was 68 degrees, but yesterday it turned cold and windy (Kelli, glad to hear you had some sunshine). It is supposed to snow in the valley tonight, but turn warmer by Friday.

Now I need to check the mailbox and see if the Pony Express delivered our Pirate costumes, that would really make our day on top of our doc's.

It hasn't quit raining in the Salt Lake Valley since yesterday. I told Scott we were sending it your way! Sorry! Hope the Pony Express can make it through the Wasatch Mountains and all that new snow to get me my documents next.

Just wanted to congratulate everyone with their documents. Linda must be right- pony express does go through WY first!

Since I will not be getting my documents- I am going to do the "I have no documents dance!" I have been "dancing" all day in my car- while running errands....I love that new Will Smith song, Switch.


I took my DS to the pediatricians today, as I suspected he has a sinus infection....I discussed vaccinations in relation to the cruise- suprisingly she recommended that he did get Hep A shot. She states that she feels that the vaccination will become manditory nationwide due to the high occurances of cases in the South & South-West regions of the US. So Noah got the shot (the mean nurse used a one and a half inch needle on my skinny six year olds arm- I thought she was going to hit bone! )


I also got my teeth cleaned....


My packing pile is getting larger and larger!!!

I can hardly stand it....it is good that I don't have my documents yet- I think I would be so excited after that point that I wouldn't be able to function. I'd be too excited- all I would do is jump up and down.

We booked in January and were GTY until April 6 when we finally were assigned a room. I didn't like the room that we were originally assigned and I called DCL because I saw better rooms available to order on line. The CM changed our room location no problem. We were also the first to do our document dance but I think that is becaue we booked our air etc all through DCL.

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

I did the Bon Voyage and mini tea roses last time she went with us so I decided to run to Party Depot and get some decorations there...I got some really cool window clings for the porthole and mirror, a palm tree for the coffee table, a bon voyage garland for the back wall, a paper lantern with streamers for the ceiling and a floral garland for over her bed/sofa. I also go a couple of lei's to hang on the vanity lights. I hope she likes it

Cabo San Lucas Excursions - on your own

Has anyone been researching shore excursions for next August's repositioning cruise? Found a Desert Park ATV tour which sounds interesting. A three-hour tour (yes, it does sound like a land version of Gilligan's Island) is $60 single and $80 double riders under age 12. There is also a 5-hour lunch safari. But, as Rae would say, 5 hours of any continuous activity is a bit much... At least it's somewhat educational, as the brochure states "You will learn about the plants and animals of the Baja California Sur desert from your guide as he points them out during intermittent rest stops. He will also explain to you how the indigenous people of the area used these plants and animals for everyday life." Obviously a PG-rated voyeuristic tour...

They are going to pick us up between 9:30 and 10AM at the cruise ship's "Tender Pier." I didn't know they were so familiar with Elvis...

Anyway. Mr. Trejo made me a very kind offer that I wanted to share. We (The Ship of Fools/Disney Magic) can have our own ATV tour. For every 6 ATVs rented, whether it be for driver and passenger or driver only, they will give "us" one free rental. Thus, if we go as a group, the savings can be distributed evenly among all participants. Just wanted to pass his offer to me on to anyone/everyone who is interested in trying this shore excursion at Cabo San Lucas...

Buckaroo’s Dad (Steve) had found the Desert Park ATV excursion in Cabo San Lucas. And he is the one responsible for getting us the discount and I can take no credit for that. I had been trying to get specifics with Alex Trejo, of Desert Park ATV with whom Steve had originally corresponded with. After a LOT of phone and email tag this is the word I have from Alex……………

At the present, Desert Park only permits your deposit by way of “wiring” money there which I explained wasn’t acceptable, however as of May they will be accepting credit cards. The price is $80 if you have a driver and passenger on the ATV and $70 for a rider alone. This includes round trip transportation from the pier to the ATV’s and return. We are also going to get a “free ATV” rental for every 6 we rent, so this is going to reduce the overall price for everyone. The minimum age for children to operate an ATV is 12 years of age and 110 lbs. I had asked re my 12 year old daughter who met this criteria, and he stated that she could operate the ATV in their training area first, and if she showed sufficient proficiency, they would permit her to drive, otherwise she’d be a passenger. Insofar as minimum age for the passengers he said “two years” however I don’t think anyone would take a toddler on one of these.
He also added the following info…..

On the other side we will have the Credit Card charge service incorporated into our website by the end of May, instead of the wire transfer deposit

In terms of size of group let me tell that with Holland American and Norwegian Cruise Lines we operate a system of 4 or 5 departures every hour and a half, starting at the earliest arrival of the tenders at Pier. Each of these groups having up to 15 ATVs, so all in all up to 75 tours from the cruises could be handled at ease, with comfort and safety.

You can book your own excursion under my surname, but you are responsible for your own deposit etc. I will post departure times as we get closer, and the only advantage to doing this as a group is the discount for every 6 ATV’s rented.

Right now the biggest tragedy is that I cannot find Cash's life jacket. The solid foam thing is huge, neon yellow with black trim and makes him look like a big furry bumblebee.

Once on an outing to the pet store, I tried one of these huge contraptions on my huge black lab--poor dog couldn't understand why everyone was laughing at her... She did look exactly like a furry bumblebee! Cash has probably hidden his so that no one will laugh at him...

Hi everyone,

I just had to say that today I worked my last shift at the Magic Kingdom. It was a beautiful day and it was hard to think I won't be working there any more. I love the job I start next week at Port Orleans, and I'm really excited to work where they serve hot beignets every morning.... It was just a little hard to say goodbye. I NEED HELP WITH A DECISION PLEASE???!!


I got a PM today from Susan, she got our pins today! Now, the decision....she wants to know if she should ship them to me to bring to the port, or have Sarah (Maleficent59 who lives near Susan) pick them up and bring them. Apparently this is a very HEAVY package (29 pounds) and will cost us extra to ship them to me. I input the weight into USPS.com and priority would be over $50.00, parcel post would be over $20.00, and forget media mail. I have no idea what UPS ground shipping would be from California to Connecticut. So...do you all want to chip in and pay extra for me to bring them, or just let Sarah bring them. Personally, I'm worried that if they get shipped again something might happen like get damaged or lost.

Could I get some input from all of you since so many of you have interest in this as well?
