2 Aussies One 9 week adventure accross the USA including 2 Disney Castles!:)11/5-01/5

Hi I'm Lauren I have been on the Boards about 3 Years now. Mostly Lurking Posting occasionally. Making some Friends along the way!

Anyway way Since its only 3 months until My big adventure I thought it was about time i started a Pre-Trip report!

So Here are some Introductions:
On the Holiday there will Be Just the 2 of us Me Lauren and DB Ricky.

This is us at the Hobart Cup.

I have been to the USA 4 times Ricky has never been overseas so we are doing some things that are all new to both of us but also somethings I have done before so Ricky can see a bit of the states.

OK so I better fill you in on some of my Plans. We are coming to the US for a 9 week holiday (long time I know) I have saved up my holidays for 2 years and I have saved my rostered days for 18 months so I could have this trip.

OK so we Arrive in the US from Australia on the 05 November 2011 and head straight to Anaheim for 11 days of Disney and other Theme Park Magic.
I love Disneyland I have been there 4 times this has been my base for all my other holidays so I am very excited to be heading to WDW for the First time.

Then on the 16th we head to Las Vegas for 5 nights. Very exciting because Ricky turns 21 about 3 weeks before we leave I have also been to Vegas before.

Then on a Red eye flight we head to New york and are there until the 29th. I am so excited to be there for thanksgiving and the Macy's parade..:0

Then is on to WDW we are at WDW the longest we check in for our First stint from the 29th Nov to the 10 December.

Then we Cruise on the Western Caribbean for 7 nights.

Then we are back at WDW from the 17th Dec to 5th Jan. so Christmas and New Years at WDW and hopefully some great DIS meets.

So thats the base of it I hope you all enjoy my planning and rambling on at some times lol.

Next up Just a little on the First 3 stops then onto WDW plans

I will get onto a new post tonight had a bit of a busy weekend!!

Ok time for an update. I started planning this trip about 18 months ago when i returned from my last holiday to Disneyland, and to begin with this was going to be a very different trip but we wont go into that.

So at the start of the year when my plans changed from a two person trip to a one person trip I planned to go on an 11 week holiday to do a contiki tour and some other things plus WDW and a Disney Cruise. But now that has all changed again, and Ricky is coming with me.

Ok so onto the Plans.

We booked our Flights to LA about 2 months ago I found a really good deal on flights from melbourne to LAX and coming home is Orlando to MEL so I snapped them up. They are about $500 More expensive now.

We are leaving for the USA on the 5th of November we live in Tasmania but we are flying out of Melbourne to LAX. We will catch the flight to Melbourne on the Friday night and spend it with my Mum the night before and she will take us to the airport.

Ok so after the 16 Hour Flight to LA we will catch the shuttle to Anaheim and probably have maybe a couple of hours sleep so we don't sit up awake all night due to jet lag.

We have 11 days in Anaheim and i know we will do a few days at Disneyland and probably do some day tours. I know I want to go back to Six Flags but its just a case of if I am confident enough to drive on the wrong side of the road!

Hope fully I will be able to do a Dis meet or too at Disneyland as well.
I want to do the segway tour at California Adventure as well I have done it once before and it was great. We just miss out on the Mickey not so scary Halloween party by 4 days which makes me sad but I am thinking I may do the Mickey Very Merry Christmas party at Disneyland as we are doing it at WDW and I would like to compare.

Not much else planned for there I was hoping there might have been a ducks game on or something but i am still sussing that out.

Anyways Next up Las Vegas.

Hey Everyone, Update for the night I finally booked Las Vegas accommodation we are going to be staying at Flamingos Hotel and Casino.We are staying in a Go Deluxe room. Its not too expensive and the rooms don't look too bad so that's a plus. While we are in Vegas I think I might surprise Ricky with a Flight to the Grand canyon.
and we are going to see Katy Perry I am so excited because I didn't get to see her when she was in Australia.
As I said before I have been to Vegas before but its Ricky's First time so it will be good for us to experience things we both never have.
I don't have too much more to update tonight cause its late at night and my brain isn't working very well so I will update you all again tomorrow.

Ok after Vegas we are on a red eye flight to new york. We leave at 11.45pm from Las Vegas and arrive in New york at 5.10 am or something like that.
We are in new york for 7 days 6 nights.

We are there for Thanksgiving I am so excited for this holiday as we dont have it in Australia. I am also really excited for the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.
If anyone has any suggestions of where we can eat that day it would be good because i have been told its really hard to find food lol.

We are looking also to do a day trip to Niagra falls i think there is only overnight trips though so we may not be able to do that.

I booked a day trip to Atlantic city and the woodbury common outlets for black Friday. apparently they are mad sales after thanksgiving on Black Friday it think its called so hopefully i can get some bargains.

We will also do all the regular touristy things but im not sure if I should book those now or if I should wait to im in new york. are they cheaper if you just go and see the sites for entry or should I book before?

YOur help is greatly appreciated.

Well Thats about all I know tonight other than I wish the Aussie dollar would go back up again cause I want to pay for a few more things.
