    What to RD at HS?

You’re correct. That’s how it was for us two weeks ago. Everyone in your party has to be tapped in through the turnstiles by park opening (it was 7 am for us) to be eligible for the boarding group. Regular ones ran out by 7:02, and backup groups were done around 7:20 from one post that I...

SPACE RESTAURANT WATCH THREAD—Entrance photos post #1609!!

Hopefully if it’s a February opening, they’ll start taking reservations soon. We loved our meal at the Edison. Since it’s the same group, I’m betting we’ll love this one too.

SPACE RESTAURANT WATCH THREAD—Entrance photos post #1609!!

Take this with a grain of salt... We were talking with a manager at another restaurant last week who will be transferring there. They said the target date was in October, but they were doubtful that it would open by then.

What are your "do not miss" snacks at WDW?

I read that cronuts are now available at Ekectric Umbrella now that Flower & Garden is over, but I don’t know for sure that is true. My go to snacks are crepes from Aristocrepes at Disney Springs, and the butter cookie caramel bar from the Werthers shop in Germany at Epcot.

What does "near hospitality house" mean at OKW?

Thanks. Turtle Pond is our preferred area, so I didn’t even realize some of the rooms didn’t have that door. We stayed on Peninsular once, but it was just us and our kids, so I probably didn’t even notice that it wasn’t there. I thought the young adults would like the location, but we’ll...

What does "near hospitality house" mean at OKW?

Thanks for that answer! Guess I’ll stick to my usual request for Old Turtle Pond area.

What does "near hospitality house" mean at OKW?

Do the 2 bedroom rooms near HH have the second entrance into the master bathroom? We’re going to be traveling with extended family and definitely want the second entrance through the laundry room. Also, we would prefer one of the buildings on Peninsular Rd and not buildings 11-14. If we...

    Defunct Disney restaurants

Ariel’s is probably my most missed restaurant. It used to be our go-to place for special occasions.

Did Yak and Yeti ever accept TIW?

They also offer a 10% discount if you’re a DVC member.

3 tasting terraces: how are they different; the same?

My wife and I like the Alfresco Terrace too. It’s really nice at night, and is more quiet and relaxing. Plus the appetizers are really good.

OFFICIAL 2018 Christmas & Holiday Time at DLR Superthread!!

Excited to see that we’ll at least get to see a couple days of holiday shows and decorations. We arrive offsite Jan 4 and move to Grand Californian on Jan 5.

Has anyone booked Palo for a Large Group?

The Dream does have a private room, though it's more of an alcove and not as private as the room on the Wonder and Magic (at least from the pictures I've seen of those). On the Dream and Fantasy, they set up the buffet in this area during brunch, so they only offer the private room for dinner...

    Pirates take Alaska 7-14-14!

Hi Donna, Welcome aboard! It's been 10 years since my kids were those ages, so I probably can't help you with specifics, but rest assured that DCL is one of the better vacations to take with young kids. You'll be fine!

Fastpass + seems to be ruining many posters trips to WDW.

We were there a few weeks ago and experienced Magic Bands and FastPass+. It didn't ruin our vacation, but honestly, it was a little less enjoyable. We were able to pull FP-, but only did it for one attraction, and only because we had a friend who is a CM staying with us at our DVC, but was...

    Two questions

A somewhat newer addition is free locker rental near the entrance to Kali. We took a backpack with flip flops to the park with us and used those when riding it. We put our sneakers and the backpack with everyone's cell phones in the locker. It's free for the first two hours.

What time is Columbia Harbor House open until on a MVMCP night?

Thanks! We'll make sure we get there before 5:00.

What time is Columbia Harbor House open until on a MVMCP night?

My wife has some serious allergies, and we usually eat at TS restaurants because they're able to handle it better. We're going to be doing MVMCP next month, and we can't get a dinner ressie at any of the TS places. CHH is one of the safest counter services restaurant, but I know it's not open...

    Received box with 2 of 6 MB's?

We got 7 MB's packed into 2 boxes (5 in one, 2 in the other). But both of those boxes were shipped together in one larger cardboard box. I'd call and let them know you only got one box of 2.

Is it possible to book a room solely to get Magic Bands?

A close friend recently went to WDW, and the GAC really helped her son handle things much better than he would have without it. I understand why Disney had to make changes, but I'm hoping that it doesn't adversely affect guests like you or my friend too badly. I'm hoping that there will be...
