Maybe it's a regional thing, but I've always just said thank you very much as they left. Never occurred to me to tip. Then again, I think tipping is way out of hand. Do you tip UPS when they deliver a large package?

We stayed at Parc a few years ago in a 1-bdrm. We liked the resort very much. The sales presentation was low-pressure. I actually enjoyed learning about their product even though I wasn't really in the market to buy. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Have you tried searching for one ticket at a time? There may be one, two or even 3 tickets at the lower price which wouldn't show up if you only search 4.

Agreed! I once caught my toaster oven on fire...as in flames shooting out of it! Seems like it would be a bad idea in a hotel room.

Why not spend one night in Galveston and two in Houston? Most of the places I was going to suggest have already been mentioned: children's museum, zoo, kemah, etc. The Stockshow and rodeo is quite good too.

You can always try for it. Just be prepared with a back-up plan if it's not available. I was able to get a 1-bdrm value for a trip in May at the 7-mo mark a couple of years ago. Our plans changed, though, and I had to cancel that room a couple of months later.
