We're staying for 5 nights mid-March (no weekend nights) at 66 points per night for a 2 BD suite (it's 55 a night for a 1 BD).

Thanks so much to everyone who responded here. I was able to use my points for 3 nights and got a cash reservation for the other 2. I don't think I ever would have figured that out on my own. That was quite an adventure! I guess I still have alot to learn.

The idea of paying for what I can with points and making a second reservation with cash makes alot of sense except that as far as I can tell, I can't reserve a suite using DVC points. Based on the apparent # of members who come to DL regularly, the interest in the GCV, and the VERY limited # of units being built, my gut feeling is that it will be hard to reserve exactly what you want at the 7 month mark. But that is just my feeling.

I heard from our guide today and it was the same story. A maximum of 160 points will be available for founding members. She did however say that there will be another letter coming (in approx. 2 weeks) with the points chart and price per point.
