Asking for the last row on a ride (questions)

We always ask for last car on Everest. Front car you have to wait, last you don't. They don't care about either.

Epcot : Mission Space - Concerns about motion sickness

We rode it when it first opened. DH threw up in a trash can and I was dizzy for a few hours. I've ridden green once since and was very claustrophobic. The kids didn't like it either and I had to keep them calm. Skip it.

    WILD animals at WDW

Most notable? An otter in the waterways around downtown Disney. It swam in front of the boat like a dolphin.

Tips on flying to DisneyLAND from the east coast?

We flew nonstop from BOS. No kids but we didn't have any issues. I didn't think LAX was bad at all when we arrived at night.

Do your kids need midday breaks at the parks?

Tips for taking a newly potty trained 2 yo

Bring pull ups. My daughter was PT for just short of a year at 2.11 and still peed her pants several times at Disney. She would get excited and nervous waiting for rides too and we would have to run out of line after waiting for 20 min or I would have to pass her to SH and pray he was back...

2 yr old to the parks?

All of my kids have been at or before 2. They can go on most rides at MK. Not a ton at the others but there is plenty else for them to do.

Does everyone have to use his/her own DDP credits?

Pooled. DH and I typically leave the kids with a sitter one night and do a 2 credit meal without them. They get pizza or easy mac. This year, we are doing Food and Wine and eating everyone's snack credits.

If your kids wear customs...Epcot day?

I don't think my kids have any idea who figment is! I might do Pooh. I will have a new baby and that would just be too cute.

Would you pull your kids out of school for a Disney vacation?

Yes. It's cheaper to go when school is in session so that's when we go. My kids are young and do well in school so I am not worried at all about them catching up. I just make sure we don't go when there is testing. As they get older I might reconsider but for now it's fine.

If your kids wear customs...Epcot day?

No, I meant customs. Like custom made clothing you can find in the thread here, etsy, ebay, etc. have you ever seen an entire family or group wearing the same shirt at Disney? Those are an example of a custom shirt. There are also dresses, skirts, shorts, bows, shoes and jewelry for the younger set.

    Dole whip???

We tried out first one at DisneyLand- waited forever and a day- and didn't like it :( Next time I will try a float and see if it's better.

Dining Plan w/ Kids? Good idea or not?

I don't feel it saves & when the kids are small and/or picky. Mine were 8, 4 and almost 2 last trip and we wasted a lot of food. Tiny tummies not hungry for a sit down meal after eating up all those snack credits coupled with multiple trips to the potty didn't make cramming in all that food to...

Arriving by plane, do you make an ADR for arrival day?

Typically, yes. This last family trip however, we had a 7-hour delay that started as a 40 min, progressed to an hour, 2, 3, and so on. Thanks Jet Blue. Our flight was at 6 something and so I'd made reservations for 2:00 at Raglan Road. We finally took off at 1:30 and I was in touch with Disney...
