September 28, 2016, DVC Member Cruise on the Magic!

Has anyone seen anything re NYC member cruise t-shirts yet? We had those for Alaska, not sure if we will have those with this cruise. I am trying to remember how close to cruise time those showed up on the amenities page...
 
On the Dream MC last year, the shirts were sold in the shops on board. They were not available ahead of time.

We found the T shirts online under amenities/gifts for last year's Alaska DVC cruise, and the 2013 one. They weren't there a few days ago. I hope I remember to look.
 
DVC posted the 2017 Member cruise info today - On the Fantasy for a week starting Aug 26, 2017.
 
I liked the itinerary as well - three sea days seems to allow time for lots of Member Cruise special sessions. I have not been on the Fantasy before.
 
Does anyone know if the cruise has any formal nights where we would have to wear more formal attire?

Aladdin is the premier show on the Fantasy, and it is wonderful! It's my second favorite show, after Tangled which I hope we get to see on this cruise!
 
Hi everyone. The Local Candy/Snack exchange uses Fish Extenders to pass out local treats. We've gotten cheese straws from Mississippi and flavored popcorn and other non candy things in the past. I keep the groups under 12, for instance last Lear we had 32 participants, 4 groups of 8. Examples of candy has been salt water taffy from NJ and Utah, potato shaped candies from Idaho, chocolate covered berry candies from the Glacier NP area and Hershey chocolates. It is always fun to come back to your room and find a sweet treat!


If you are interested in the Candy/Snack Exchange please let me know! If you have not sent me your info please do so here, or in a conversation with me. Tell how many people are in your cabin, number of adults, children, if there are any allergies.

if you have not sent me information about your cabin number, allergies, first names of people in your cabin (if you wish, so the gifts can be addressed), ages of children if any, please do do. I now think cut off date will be August 15. I will get the information to all shortly after that.

Those of you who are signed up, I usually cut the number of cabins off at 11, so we still qualify as 1 group. If we get 2 more participants, it will be broken up into 2 groups.

true, as bobbiwoz has said, there is no formal night on the 4 nt. cruise. There are 3 cruise casual rotational dining nights where you will rotate to each restaurant on board plus one Pirate night - pirate attire optional.

There are character and portrait photographers on board and several cruisers may be semi formal for those but nothing is required.
