Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Does anyone know if Jim is still working at BWI club level? He really wet above and beyond for us, and I'd love to bring him a treat.

What beautiful pictures of the Poly CL!!!! Please keep them coming!! Love seeing the offerings and especially the view!!!!

I wouldn't put too much into reports today as far as what it will be a year from now. Things change fast at Disney. Go with the theming you like best.

I agree :thumbsup2.

Hope December works out for you and your family:)

Thanks :goodvibes

Bring back the clocks!

::yes::

My favorite time in the Poly CL lounge.... 6AM! A quiet opportunity to sip some coffee, enjoy the view, and catch up on work e-mails (unfortunately)...

Beautiful pic! Such a relaxing view :cloud9:.

Saw a first for me in the BWI lounge this morning. Lady in robe. I don't get it but hey just not for me. She came in and got coffee. At one point dropped a spoon on the floor and was going to leave it. My DD went over to her and picked it up and she just giggled at her.:joker:

Me too :goodvibes

There are little fringe things that I pick up on the more I stay CL, but in the end, I'm still a very happy customer. Although I'd probably recomend you lower you expectations on Poly CL food. It consistently rates among the weaker of the CLs in that regard. But location and atmosphere, off the charts! Best of luck with your planning (and yes, I'd finish at Poly if I were you).
Everyone has their own opinions. If you look at the (current) list of DISers going to WDW, you'll see a high number of Poly listings, so there's that going for it!

For us, we didn't like Poly all that well. Several of the things we didn't like are things that can't readily be changed.

The #1 thing we didn't like about Poly (over other CL's) is the layout. CL rooms aren't located in the main building. If you are staying at GF's RPC, Citrico's in only an elevator ride away. When it is pouring rain, we don't get drenched. We don't even need jackets. (in winter either!) If it is pouring and you are at Poly, you can't go anywhere without getting wet.

Beyond that, we favor the more efficient layout of CR's CL. We can see the CM's help desk from the lounge. If I have to wait to talk to a CM, I can be doing something useful.

Third, while room décor is frequently updated, and the Poly has improved, it is still too dark for our tastes. (WL is also too dark. For some reason, I don't mind AKL as much, even though it is just as dark.)

Last, Poly is always among the most expensive CL's.

That said, some of our favorite attractions are ones that others happily skip. I advise everyone to learn for themselves what their preferences are. BC is among our favorite CL's, but we almost skipped it because of less than stellar reviews.

Some (new to us) changes for afternoon snacks....they also had some cut up fruit in little ice cream cones which was high on the "cute" factor but wasn't that practical. Room temp veggies and fruit, yum? Also chips and the aftermath of sloppy CL patrons there on the right....

The old standbys...

Room view, although it's soooo much better in person.

New (to us) chocolate arrival gift. Used to be four or maybe even five (?) pieces of chocolate in a nicer box. DW was not impressed.

Not sure when they put these in, but I'm glad they finally replaced those old clock radio/iPod stand things. Those were ancient. Nice to have two convenient USB ports.

Thanks! This is all helpful!!

All very valid Poly observations for sure in my book. Totally agree with that last statement, there are so many differences in CLs, let alone the resorts themselves. So much for everyone to enjoy!

Although have they always served Joffrey's here? I thought it was some Kona blend. Used to be soooo good but this tasted different, although I'm not sure if it's a mental thing because I read the Joffrey's sign first?

Love that empty lounge. So the KKC starts its coffee service at 0600? Everywhere else I've stayed doesn't start till 0630. The earlier the better for me. I like some coffee before going to the gym.

Nice of your DD. Unfortunately, this sounds all too familiar. Same experience for us at all the CLs we've tried so far: YC, CR, WL and BWI. Add to that adults in PJs, not kidding, and it can be quite the show:sad2:. I don't understand how guests are permitted to wear outfits they wouldn't ever wear even to McDonalds, but they feel it's appropriate for a Club Level lounge. I've only seen barefoot guests be told they have to have shoes on to enter the lounge at WL.

My DD took this at the Regatta Club two years ago. She has a glass of wine in her left hand.

If you don't get an answer here, you might want to cross-post to the BWI thread. The link is in my signature.

I dislike the pj's on adults in the lounge too. But that couple looks like they could be on their way to the pool. I have seen several women use the robes as bathing suit cover ups.

There was a woman in RPC who liked to relax in the lounge in her bathrobe on our last trip (and she wasn't on the way to the pool). :(

On two occasions (on the same trip) we heard the BC CMs tell people they could not go into the lounge without shoes on (they were kids). I was just glad they were starting to enforce some basic health rules.

In my experience the coffee has tended to be out 6ish. The CMs are there setting up for breakfast and the coffee and juices seem to be the first out. I'm not sure that's standard protocol, probably varies a bit with different CMs?

Poly CL desert offerings this evening....not pictured are oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. This is it by the way.

Beverages. Poly CL's setup doesn't really lend itself to being staffed like other CLs I guess.

My last stay I would ask for a glass of wine for mom and I around 1pm. One day they offered me the "punch" so some days they do make during the day. I think I'll ask for one Thursday !!! Yummmmy!

Do they still have pineapple and Carmel??? That is usually out at 5pm.

Sorry so random, saw your pix and I am getting excited, lol!

I wish this was done across the board in all CLs :(.

Hopefully this is a change that all CLs will be enforcing ;).

My office this morning. I can think of worse places to work on vacation.

Room view from last night (Wishes). Sorry, iPhone doesn't take great night pics.

Love all the pics/updates. Thank you for taking time out of your vacation to post about your stay :).

Poly CL mid-day snacks appear to be relatively consistent day-to-day at the moment, although we were at Blizzard Beach most of Monday so missed yesterday's offerings. The fruit skewers are much more practical than the fruit in the ice cream cone from a few days ago.

Same goldfish and snack mix....(may or may not have been my lunch on a couple of days so far....)

I am reminded why I enjoy CL so much. DW, DS, and DD are napping. Daddy gets to hang out in the peace and quiet of the lounge. Drink courtesy of the Barefoot Pool Bar (no judging of the time stamp of this post, OK?).

On a BWI CL trip there was a father and son who came into the lounge in socks, and then put their feet up on the tables. I mentioned it to a CM and he told me they weren't allowed to say anything to the guests. I hope they are enforcing a minimal dress code now.

I don't have perfect timing every morning, but mostly I hit the lounge about 6:30am, and the coffee isn't always out, but if you mean Poly, I have limited experience at Poly.

Maybe Poly runs earlier, or perhaps part of the difference is that I use cream/milk in mine. :) I don't get coffee until I see cream or milk.

Also, my real preference is to add a shot of espresso. I can say, the espresso machines are often operational a little before 7am. It depends though, the CR lounges that fully lock, usually stay locked until 7am.

I can say for certain that the Business lounge at CSR doesn't start serving anything until 7am.
