What does Jackie find even remotely close to not amazing?

Jackie: I love the dirty bathrooms at Disney! The Imagineers are so amazing to add that detail - just like I would picture a bathroom in the jungle or on a Frontier ... it's those Disney details!

Jackie: I had the best day! I was on the monorail and it got stuck for an hour with no air conditioning - how considerate of Disney to provide a free sauna service! And with a view of the parking lot! I saw cars from 37 states and 3 Canadian provinces! It is a small world after all, isn't it!

Jackie: I watch a lot of Chopped and the number one complaint I hear from the judges is that the dish needs more acid - well, Disney just nailed it with that red sauce at Tony's!

Jackie: I camped out on Main St for an hour to get a great view of Wishes and right before it started a family squeezed ahead of me and used their Ipad to film the entire thing. How considerate of them! The only thing better than Wishes is seeing it twice at the same time!
I LOL'ed at "3 Canadian provinces!" Whole post--slow clap...

Thanks for chiming in @WebmasterJackie - and hope it does come through that we really value your positive attitude. Obviously we are all big Disney fans but sometimes it can be easy to focus on negatives or things it isn't (I know, negative thoughts shared on the internet?!?!?! Shocking!) bit it is also great to get reminded of all the positive aspects

I also agree with you about wanting to focus on the positives - life's too short to focus on the negative. And also that life can be a self-fulfilling prophesy based on your attitude. If you go into something expecting it to suck, well, it probably will because you are looking for the negatives to affirm your predisposition.

But as @Princess Jes says - we are just chattin' and having some fun (although I have no idea what a chin-wag is, I assume some sort of snack to pair with an adult beverage, like vegimite or something).
Chin wag = a chat or to just talk about whatever.

"Babe, why do you get up so early to watch the podcast live"
"Oh because we all just have a bit of a chin wag about he show and all the other tangents that arise"

I really enjoy Jackie's enthusiasm. I don't think the OP really meant for the thread to become a booster or critique but it was bound to go off the rails a bit. Goodness only knows there is lots at WDW to be critical about. Rightly so. If no one complains, nothing changes. But I enjoy Jackie's bright, positive outlook and she's a great foil to others on the Team. There . . . think I've earned my pixie dust for the day! But Jackie earns hers every single day. :tinker:

really? I've never heard of a single discussion on the internet that went off the rails ;)

I agree with you (as usual) Sam. Someone needs to complain, so things get (hopefully) fixed, as long as the complaints are legit, calmly stated, and not just "peeves" or "looking for something". But also love outlooks like Jackie's, and her (and me, and all of us) being different. Diversity in opinion is Universal, and Disney too. :)

I think we discovered today what Jackie finds not amazing: coffee without half-and-half.

I heard that today and laughed really hard because my first reaction was...well, we found out something she doesn't like.

Also, if you listen to one of @WebmasterJackie 's first "The Trip Podcast" you would also know that she doesn't like people in the hotel room next to hers conducting business transactions at the top of their lungs after midnight...and she will not hesitate to call hotel security. :earboy2:

It's weird. Sometimes I find Jackie's "Everything is Awesome" attitude annoying, yet I never feel that way about Kathy, who has a similar view of the parks. I always enjoy hearing her opinions.

Probably with more time, we'll end up feeling the same way about Jackie as we do with Kathy.

Forget the trip. Get Jackie and Kathy together for a show! The fact that their names rhyme alone makes it a perfect match.

But over the years, Kathy has broken out of her shell and certainly can throw down harsh critiques when it's necessary :D

This had me dieing on the beaches of Aulani people were looking at me haha.

Again, I love me some Jackie she honestly reminds me of someone with a pure heart that just appreictaes everything/day that she can enjoy.

Jackie you better do a Disney cruise this year! Or your pixie dust is revoked

Yes, please! After this week's show, Please send Jackie On A Cruise should be trending on the Boards. In the spirit of the above posts, I would love to see a mini travel video & future show of Jackie & eg Kathy on a Disney Cruise. We often have WDW travel info from the perspective of a family, but how about from 2 women? Then, a few months later, possibly a do-over with the same ladies on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Looking at the food, activities, cabins, excursions, etc and balancing their experiences with the total price to give us a good guide as to whether the money spent was worth it in the end. Maybe too ambitious given all the other projects on deck but still would be great to see (sea) :-)

Jackie seems to be just a very Upbeat person. And I am with her on the noisy people in hotels. At night especially.

She kept going through her makeup section even with Kevin, Pete and John joking around which I admired. Because if it was me I would start cracking up.

We have found Jackie's Dis Persona and it's great! Like every persona, it's more of a caricature of the real person, an exaggeration, but that's what a Dis Persona is. It may not be exactly Jackie in real life but it is on the the Dis. It's being uber positive and almost aggressively upbeat. I actually laughed really hard at these from above because that's how I would be!!!! I love it! And I bet Jackie loves it too.

I hope Jackie takes this in a good spirit, because I think it's so funny. (And again, I could substitute my name in for hers in the above examples)
Here are my loving additions:

Jackie: The long standby lines are perfect for meeting new friends and admiring the queues! I almost never use a Fast Pass, I'd hate to miss all that fun!
Jackie: It was a perfect day at the Magic Kingdom, everyone was shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart. That much togetherness is amazing! Crowd level 10 equals happiness level 10!

(love her!!!! never leave!!!!)

Oh boy I bet this is why Theresa hates Jackie so much. :p;)

Personally I think Jackie's brand of sunshine and Disney magic is something the podcast has been missing and she rounds out the personalities well. She's even better at managing the boards.

I think that Pete or Kevin touched on this in a show recently. Sometimes with the amount of information we have or get about disney we can, as repeat fans and customers, become hardened. Our expectations are often in the "I remember when" areas versus what is good about it now. I respect Jackie because I think she wants to see the good. You always need someone like that on your team.

Hey, Jackie.
I wanted to reach out to you after the Trip broadcast the other day. I actually wrote a reply on the video... and perhaps it was "too hot" because it was removed and now my replies don't show up there. So - I guess the Dis banned me. :( Considering how much of a loyal viewer/Dis Meet attender/Dis follower I am - that was just sad to have a disagreeing opinion and now ANY opinion banned.

THAT SAID ... I want to tell you that I find you a BREATH OF FRESH AIR! I APPRECIATE a positive spin on Disney World - which I ADORE!!! Sure I can see cracks in the amor, but I return and return and return because I LOVE it so. And you reflect what so many of us feel.

I also want to tell you how much I APPRECIATE your views on the Hawthorne Suites the other day (the video that got me banned). You were looking at it as a family looking to save money over staying on property and were giving it a fair and just rating. I treasure staying on property and do it enough...but I can't afford to do it as much as I'd like and sometimes (convention center work) I need to be closer to the center of "town". I have never stayed at the Hawthorne Suites myself. (I like the Extended Stay America - the one in the front - as there are 2 hotels one in back of the other. I had a remarkable "suite" at a great price. The breakfast was more grab and go than what you reported over there - but it was just perfect for me, and I would return. PLUS it's right next to a walkway (over International Blvd) to the convention center - and when that's the "business" that brings me to Orlando..that matters.) But wrapping this up - I, too, really like the Westwood Blvd hotels and I think you were right on your reviews. It was clear though that this was simply not acceptable by J.L and Craig - and that's sad. To compare an extended stay off property to a Deluxe Disney resorts concierge service? That's silly. Thank you for bringing us reviews on hotels OTHER than on property.

But Jackie... I want to encourage you. You might sometimes seem like a salmon swimming upstream (positiveness in the midst of the occasional snarkiness), but "KEEP SWIMMING"!!!! I, with you, LOVE Disney and want to focus on how "amazing" an experience it is. I appreciate your opinions (and now reading about your aim towards seeing the positive in life - I admire you even more) and that you have been added to the DIS broadcasts. Hope that remains the case for a long time to come!!

You guys are too cute! I'm really just thrilled that you're enjoying the show. :goodvibes

I wanted to tell y'all that the reason I mentioned never having been on a cruise before was because I was talking about the little portholes on the doors. I wanted you all to know why I didn't know they were where the cabin numbers are located! I'll get on a Disney Cruise someday!

Hey Louie,

I don't see where you were banned from anywhere that we have control of. Please feel free to start a private conversation with me with more details so I can try to get to the bottom of that. We don't have a problem with respectful disagreeing opinions at all - those are what makes great discussion!

I'm so glad you're enjoying my positive spin on things - it's how I roll so it's nice to hear that some are liking that! Thanks! :goodvibes

Nah, sometimes my comments are gone as well. And they are mundane things like "loved the show!", so its not the show or anything deleting comments.
It must be a youtube thing.
