Podcast Team In-Park Encounters

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but @DisneyKevin, i think you and i are similar in size. Are there any stores in WDW you could recommend for "subtle" Disney apparel? Not that I am opposed to Mickey t-shirts, but I'd like to find things I could wear to work and other less casual settings.

Go to DLP and get that scarf! ;)

First...any reason you find to go to DLP is a good reason.

Second...the scarf was out of necessity. I never expected it to be as cold and damp as it was. I was freezing. I am a tender, hot house Florida boy.

Third...I am sensing scarf envy. If I'm misreading this...:bored::sail: :joker: I love my scarf and will continue to wear it.

Fourth...I have never found a specific store that carries bigger sizes. I have found things I want to wear in different stores and in different parks. My most recent acquisition is a dark heathered grey quarter zip fleece shirt/jacket with a very small logo where a chest pocket would be. The logo is a WDW logo with Mickey in rubberized grey. You have to look closely to see it. The cost was $64 and I bought it in the clothing store in Hollywood Studios the evening we reviewed Minnie Silver Screen thing. You just never know where you'll find something.

I personally loved the scarf. I also love how chat exploded trying to figure out where they could buy it. :)

It was everywhere in DLP. It also came in a red, white and blue version.

I have looked to see if I could find it on line and I'm not having any luck.

Are suppose to list our height now before we post? Let's just say that when looking at the height/weight chart and going by weight, I'm 8'3".

I saw, but didn't approach JL at the Osborne lights. The main reason was when I told my wife that was JL from the podcast my son looked at me with that tweeter attitude and said "is that those talking people you make me listen to in the car?" So in order to save any credibility with my tweener I backed away.

I also swear I heard John and Kevin once. This was pre-video days and even before they put their pictures out there so I wasn't certain it was really them. But it was, but maybe not, but really I swear...oh, never mind. So I didn't approach.

LOL....I was thinking along the same lines "I'd be the perfect weight for my height, if I were 8' 3". :rotfl:

I'm 6 foot even. I'll be wearing a hat. Hollywood Studios tomorrow.

I saw Julie with her daughter in Target once. I was in a rush on my way out, so i didn't bother her. But I had to do a double take, like "is that...no..well, this is Orlando..."

And I had just finished an episode on my iphone in the store, too.

Sounds likes a blast, especially the adult beverage at Epcot part! I cannot wait to move back to Florida so I can spend more time at the parks and hopefully run into some of my favorite podcasters!

I came looking for a thread like this. I have to head down to FL for business next week so why not come down a few days early and spend some time at WDW. Anyone going to be in the parks 6 - 9 February doing a review?

My wife and I met Teresa at the Welcome Center prior to one of our DCL cruises which was a treat (both meeting Teresa and DCL of course). We also saw Pete and Dustin at Epcot from a distance when they were attending the Epcot Desert party. We had tickets for the next night and as much as we wanted to meet them we weren't going to pay for that party twice.

If we don't catch anyone this coming trip we'll be back in March for F&G and then July for the Podcast 10th Anniversary gala. Were also still waiting to hear more info on the possible ABD China trip!

Wasn't there a funny story once about how Walter mistook Webmaster Alex for Pete and gave him a hug on a Podcast cruise? So you aren't the only one making that mistake! :P

OMG- I was there and witnessed that. It was actually onboard the ship when people were lined up to get Jodi Benson's autograph. I still remember laughing with Walter until we were both crying!

Not to sound to creepy but is there a schedule posted of when the podcast team members are in the parks (maybe we should change this thread title to the Podcast Team Stalker Thread). I actually think that this is a great idea to have days when the team members will be out and about in WDW. Even though we live in PA, we are AP holders and DVC members so we visit WDW as often as we can. I would love to meet some of the team as your shows provide me with so much entertainment every week, even if it is to just simply say thank you. There is no other Disney podcast that even comes close to the DIS Unplugged.

saw Pete posted this on Facebook - it changes month to month apparently:

"Craig and I are in Epcot on Mondays, JL and Ryno are in Animal Kingdom on Tuesdays, Ryno and Steve are in Disney Springs on Wednesdays, Steve and Kathy are in the MK on Thursdays and Craig and JL are at DHS on Fridays. This is February's schedule - it will change in March!"

Getting a pin would require actually going up to them and saying hello. :duck:

Oh. I'm much too shy to actually say hello. :scared:

You could just ask them to dance.
