Just Relaxin’ on the Wonder – Nowhere, Nothing, Nada. - Complete! and Final Thoughts

When I was a teen, one of my friends had a cat that would go missing for a while before showing up again.
He once went missing for 8 months!

OMG. That cat would NEVER get to go out again in my house!

Ugh. Not fun. You must've been thinking "Just fix it right the first time!"

Well I understand that it's tricky to get it properly calibrated. The first time it was even worse. It's a little colder now than its supposed to be, but the milk isn't freezing or anything.

I don't know... but considering I almost never get packages, this sounds like fun to me.

If you knew how many packages we have received over the years, and had to open them, it would cease to be fun, real fast. :rolleyes1

I suspect I'd be the same way.

I can't imagine not having a verandah on a cruise. I can't wait for the Alaska Cruise and watching the Inside passage from the Verandah.

Hey! Down in front! Trying to see here!

:rotfl2:

Geez. Persistent little guy.

He sure was!

Mmmm.... And queue the mouth watering.

Actually it helps me to get an appetite in the morning. I don't normally wake up hungry, and it takes me a few hours to get my appetite going.

Your bagel has a heart!

Awwww how sweet.

 That must've been fun to watch!

They were rather comical!

I never would've thought of that!
Drugs that are cheaper or just not available?

She has one medication, Qunine Sulfate for leg cramps and the FDA took it off the list a few years ago. She had a prescription from a Canadian pharmacy that we would fill by mail, but it was very expensive. We find that you can get it really cheap in Mexico. We picked up a bunch in Cozumel last year, but that port was much more convenient. The pharmacy was right there on the dock.

What will you do????

Ah. Good choice.

We thought so! :teeth:

Wow. This makes two things I (sort of) know about!
But, how do you know where to deliver your gifts?
I presume everyone goes on line and posts their room numbers?

Yes, you post stateroom numbers, names and ages of children. Sometimes favorite characters and colors.

Gotta have your veggies.

mmmmmmmm. Eggs benny.

One of my favorites, and drinking a glass of veggies makes me feel better about all the other crap I eat!

Looks good to me.
It's a little bit of pixie dust, right?
Not the lottery.

Good way to put it!

Still haven't gotten around to watching it...

Well, get on it!

Probably a good call off not disembarking and just going to breakfast! Your FE gifts looked very crafty! It's too bad that all the FB/Dis drama happened. It definitely killed some of the magic.

Jill in CO

Yeah for some reason Mexico doesn't seem very ADA friendly. :scratchin

Thanks! For me sticking stickers is about the extent of my craftiness. It's really sad about the FB drama, but I'm glad that stuff is being kept on the DIS. I hated when everything started to shift over to FB, now at least some is left here.

:rotfl2::lmao: Drugs and alcohol. Disney cruise magic?

I know! Who would have thought?

Gotta stay somewhat healthy!

My thoughts exactly!

Ok, ok... I'm not someone who tortures cats or anything. Heck, I like having them around. Nothing better than a good barn cat to help with the rodent population. But I've yet to know a cat that isn't the center of their own universe. They might look innocent, but they are anything but!

This cracks me up! It's not the first time I've heard of "barn cats", but not something we have in California, or at least my part of California.

Wow... good thing you didn't take any longer to get back to the room!

I know, this began to become a habit that I was not enjoying.

That certainly is a heck of a large group!

I was amazed that we were able to all get posed for the picture.

Looks like a nice way to spend some time relaxing.

It was awesome, and I could use some of that relaxing time about now!

Well, you probably would expect something a little bit less, um, pre-packaged at a nice table service meal on a cruise. But you can never go wrong with a Mickey Bar.

Well, technically they aren't on the menu. However, people in the know are aware that you can always order one as a dessert.

Don't worry about it. I've been too busy to keep up around here anyway

Yeah, and I'm slipping farther and farther behind.

Well, there's some bad busy there but a whole lot of good busy too!

The good busy has been fun, but it's starting to wear me down.

I certainly wouldn't want to go anywhere on it.

:rotfl2:

Oh, that would be brutal. I'd be so hungry!

I like it, helps me get my appetite going in the morning.

It's kind of a cool touch that they have there. I like it.

I seem to remember a similar flag in Cozumel.

Um... I realize the cartels move them freely across the border, but you realize you have to go back through customs, right? :rolleyes1

The cartels aren't interested in Quinine Sulfate. Not a huge demand for that.

I like the sugar... but I prefer the protein.

I'll almost always take protein over sugar.

And, in a nutshell, one of the reasons I'm trying to keep track of "Dis" friends in about 4 different places these days.

And a whole bunch more jumped ship in the last couple months.

So, I'll take it from this busy morning that plans to procure Mexican drugs were thrown by the wayside.

Pretty much.

Just saw pictures of you and your band performing at California Adventure!!!! How exciting!!!

For a second there, I read that and was like: :confused3
But then I remembered that you get your stateroom # when you book, not after you arrive.

Well, get on it!

Yes, ma'am!

I am so sorry I have been away. But I am caught up again.
Your food and drink porn are amazing, and it sounds like a wonderful idea for a cruise, I love the nothing part. Well and the nothing dessert.

Goodness, you have been good and busy. Fortunately you have the next cruise to look forward to.

It just doesn't seem to let up right now. I suppose things will slow down this weekend when my parents arrive, but once they leave it will be back to crazy packing and visiting the park!

You were lucky that you smelled industrial smells. All we could smell when we were in Ensenada were sea lions. Breakfast looked nice.

Hmmm. I can see where that would be less than ideal.

Very nice M&G. The Spa visit looks very nice place to relax after being on the DCL. Dinner looks so appetizing. The banana bread sounds very good.

Thanks! It was all great.

It was fun to meet up with you and Fran last Sunday and Monday. Hope you were able to do all the things you wanted during Star Wars Season of the Force on Monday. TL was packed like a zoo that Monday morning to the afternoon when I left.

It was great to see you again too!

I would definitely enjoy being outside the verandah during the morning. Good idea of not going off the ship and have breakfast instead. A nice way to start the morning by having breakfast.

Mornings on the verandah are one of my favorite things about cruising.

Hoping that your refrigerator has gotten some TLC and is now working

Well its cooling to 36 degrees now. A little too much but better than 50.

Good choice in having breakfast and not getting off the ship.

In our case I think it was a wise decision.

The Dis is banning people for posting FB FE links? Hmmm. I really must pay attention more to what's going on around the Dis. Lately, I've been MIA a lot.

You just don't hang out on the cruise section. They have sticky posts at the top of the forums with guidelines as not to post links to "other" sites. It's not just for the FE but in general. The DIS has a sponsor who likes to be, well, stay the sponsor.

That's a very colourful collection of FE that you made. It must have been so fun putting it all together. Well done!

Thanks. I thought it was rather creative for me!

You just don't hang out on the cruise section. They have sticky posts at the top of the forums with guidelines as not to post links to "other" sites. It's not just for the FE but in general. The DIS has a sponsor who likes to be, well, stay the sponsor.

From what I understand there are two separate issues:

1) Meets and Facebook: There appear to have been a number of complaints that once people were on Facebook some of the meet groups there were set up by travel agencies who were not even traveling on the cruise, just moderating the Facebook group. This also lead to people receiving advertising and stuff like that. Therefore the rule is not that you are not allowed to link to Facebook, but that you are not allowed to "solicit" people to make personal information available via any other website outside the DIS. This also applied to google documents for example. I can understand that reasoning. The DIS does not want to be held liable for people having their privacy violated on another site, just because everyone on the DIS meet thread was told to come over to Facebook.

2) the links to other sites: there it is actually requested that you post the correct link. For some reason some sites are banned and when you post the link it will be all stars: www.******.com. The stars are not a problem, but what you are not supposed to do is then go around and post "got to www dot ***** dot com" as then the filter would not pick up the starred word and it will go through. I personally have never had any issue with any link I posted. They say that there are reasons why certain sites are banned because they violated the rule of not advertising your personal business or such, but since I never experienced a banned website nor a business posting advertisement (well sometimes in the morning some crazy spam robots who want you to purchase Russian women or so, but I don't think any DISer would want to link to those type of websites anyway). For example, I once tried the websites of some other well known Disney travel agencies and they did go through without problems.

Sorry for jumping in with such a boring reply when I am so behind on a proper reply!!! I just saw the issue being discussed and I think the DIS is getting a bit of a bad rep on the cruise board for it. I can see their point with both issues (and with Facebook I am actually profiting as I am not on Facebook and I hated the thread for my first cruise which just consisted of posts telling newcomers to come over to Facebook without any discussion on the DIS itself happening).

I promise I will be back soon with a more chatty reply! I love all your pictures and you really make me so homesick for the Wonder!! She is my first love!

Wow. Just wow! But then again.....we are in someone else's playground and I do try and stick to the rules of the playground. As I'm probably never cruising, these ones should be easy to stick to for me.

I thought it was rather creative for me!

It was! Very creative indeed. :thumbsup2

What a pain about the fridge. I hope it's fixed soon and stays fixed. Ugh.

Well it was fine until the day before Thanksgiving when I thought it had been working long enough that I could restock all my condiments and salad dressings that I threw out the week before. Now I have a cooler sitting in my kitchen with all my meat and dairy products.

Beautiful pictures of the port that morning. I love the mountains in the background with the clouds.

I know, it's so pretty!

I would have been riveted by those sea lions, so cool!

Unfortunately they left once they started to moor up the ship. Otherwise, I was fascinated by them!

I have been WAY behind. The last three weeks I was so busy with work, I hardly had time to look at the DIS. Then things in Paris happened and it through me off for another week. Sorry.
There were way more things I wanted to comment on, but I just picked a few, so I would not bore you to death.

That must be even more disconcerting to all you folks in Europe. We have the Atlantic Ocean between us, and while it is awful what happened, it's not like it's in our backyard. I hope everyone there stays safe and there are no more attacks.

I just LOVE that bread on the left and while I don't want to fill up on carbs I can never say "no" to it. Walnut and blue cheese - yum!

I will now have no problem, now that you tell me there are walnuts in it!

Sweet yummy goodness!!

Now those sweet rolls I love!

Have you ever tried their blue cheese and grape pizza? My absolute favourite. :cloud9:

I have tried it. While I liked it, I prefer the others more.

We had that on our last cruise as well and I really liked it. Sorry you did not enjoy it as much.

It was just a little weird, had a strange texture.

Ah, nothing better than spreading a bit of pixie dust ...... and they will remember you ...... I promise! :thumbsup2

Someone already did, as you will see in an upcoming post.

Thanks for sharing the pics. That is something we have never done, the Mixology. Tom has his "own" little bar and is pretty skilled when it comes to mixing, so we never really thought of doing it. But it looks like a lot of fun. :goodvibes

This is our favorite class because the bartender host knows everyone is there for a good time, and makes it a good time for everyone!

Those plates are so fun. Tom makes it a point to at least once in a cruise order just that "nothing".

I will have to remember that.

:cheer2: for the gold lanyard! You are now on the way to your platinum one! Won't take long.

Well I have three of the five cruises already booked so we are on the way!

I forgot that they let you stay at Cove Cafe when on a b2b. On the larger ships they just let you roam the ship and we really love that, as it feels like you have the ship to yourself. :goodvibes

I think they would have let us roam the ship as well, we just didn't feel like going anywhere.

You definitely scared me with the cat drama. Being a cat owner myself (one spoiled kitty is enough around our house) I can definitely feel your heartbreak, not knowing what was going on with the sweet kitty.
Sorry about the fridge problems. There always seems to be "something". I definitely hear you on the issue.

Yeah, Milo is constantly putting us in fear of his demise. On Thanksgiving night a HUGE raccoon walked by the dining room doors. I certainly wouldn't want him to run into that guy!

Beautiful pictures of the port. How nice to have that veranda off of your room!

I wouldn't have it any other way!

Oh my the spa time looks wonderful. I'm so ready to be on that ship.

Just a few more days!

So glad to hear everything turned out okay with Milo!

Yeah, me too. I'm always scared though, one of these days.

What happened, do you know?? Dang that's crazy!

No clue. Never found out.

Must have been nice. Was everyone that was eating breakfast around you in a bad mood?

We only talked to the couple at our table, so not sure.

....I would have :rotfl:

All you evil people out there! :)

Wow that is great that they don't forget about the B2B'ers!

They took very good care of us.

Perfect way to start your next cruise!

I thought so.

Ooh this looks delicious!

It was. I wouldn't mind a nice slice of that right now.

Oh geez that is a BIG fridge! Sorry you're dealing with all that.

Still dealing with it.

So what is not coming back for good, Tom Sawyer's and Toon Town right? Everything else will come back but not for over a year or so?

Only the fort at Tom Sawyer's, and I'm not quite sure about toontown.

Wow can't believe they were actually banning people just because of the FB links:confused3 It's not like they were selling anything or linking up services, just an easier way to keep in contact with DIS'ers.

According to what Magdalene posted above they were linking and selling stuff. I think it was competition to the travel agency or the like.

Holy cow! Did she buy one of everything on Amazon?

More than one of everything. :rolleyes1

Sounds like a nice problem to have!

Yup. And we're going again today too!

Wow, this really was the best verandah ever.

:rotfl:

Whoa, careful how you say that.

:lmao:

That sounds like a real pain to keep track of everything!

This next cruise will be much easier!

Just saw pictures of you and your band performing at California Adventure!!!! How exciting!!!

That was one week ago! What a difference a week makes! It was a lot of fun. Here is a link to all our videos, I know I have been promising this to you for a while.

http://www.gayfreedomband.org/media-gay-freedom-band.html

At least the recent ones. If you want to hear the weird suite that I told you about where I got to be the "evil spirit" and had a major soprano sax solo, that is Purgatorio #2, but I would suggest that you listen to the entire "Divine Comedy". It was the whole second half of the program and PIO and her husband enjoyed it more than the more commercial first half. It was quite the "band work", as a musician you would appreciate the whole thing. We even had to sing in this piece.

I'm in the second row on the right. 1st chair.

Yeah, the things we do for our leg cramps!

For a second there, I read that and was like: :confused3
But then I remembered that you get your stateroom # when you book, not after you arrive.

Well if you're lucky you get your stateroom number when you book, but sometimes folks only find out about a month before since they book in a certain category. We need an H/A room so we always know which room we will get.

Yes, ma'am!

So.....Have you seen it? :scratchin

I am so sorry I have been away. But I am caught up again.
Your food and drink porn are amazing, and it sounds like a wonderful idea for a cruise, I love the nothing part. Well and the nothing dessert.

Hey, you're a busy gal! Glad you are caught up.

thanks for such an insightful post on this issue. I had no idea all the other issues other than taking away customers from Dreams Unlimited.

Wow. Just wow! But then again.....we are in someone else's playground and I do try and stick to the rules of the playground. As I'm probably never cruising, these ones should be easy to stick to for me.

Yeah, I'm glad though. As Magdalene posted, she isn't on FB and I hated that the FE's were getting taken away by FB. My Cruise next week doesn't even have a FB group, though I will look at 3PM to see if there is a meet that I'm not aware of. But I'm glad we have a fairly strong thread. I organized a Mixology group and we have 3 FE's.

It was! Very creative indeed. :thumbsup2

Well thank you. We'll see how creative my next one is! I came up with it on the spot!

When we read through the Navigator the previous night, we saw that Captain Hook, Stitch and Donald were going to be available for character meets up on Deck 9. The previous night our waiters had inquired for us what “style” the buffet was going to be and the theme was Italian for lunch. On our way out of Triton’s at breakfast we had checked out the lunch menu, and there wasn’t anything that really floated our boat, so to speak, so we decided to hit the buffet on Deck 9 and then go meet the characters.

Starting off we had a potato salad, Penne salad, and lentil salad.

There was Caprese salad and sandwiches.

Italian meats and olives

Cheeses too

Minestrone Soup, Stovetop Mac n Cheese and Chicken Nuggets

This was “baked” Mac n Cheese, Broccoli and Polenta

The first one was Chicken Cacciatore and I wanted some, but it was full of olives. Blech! The next one was braised beef, and the last was shrimp scampi.

This was Leg of Lamb

This was my plate

And this was Fran’s

After we noshed on our food for a little bit I went back and got some minestrone for me. Notice the Mickey head pasta.

Fran wanted some of the creamy artichoke soup, but she said it wasn’t very good.

I also wanted to try the Risotto, but they gave me way too much.

After that we headed over the to the character meet. We got in line while Captain Hook was there but the line was fairly long, and by the time we got to the front of the line they had switched to Stitch. We did as we usually do, I got a picture solo with the character, then the both of us, and then Fran got a solo picture.

We got back in line since Donald was up next. There was a delay in Donald coming out and the line just kept getting longer and longer. A lot of these people ended up giving up.

But even once you made it through that part of the line, there were still all these turn backs. See those two girls in front of Fran? OMG we always ended up in character lines with them and they were so obnoxious. Now I understand liking pictures with the characters, but for every character we saw with them, they had a miniature plush of the character that they would hand to the character, and get pictures of the character “playing with themselves”. Then the girl would have the photographer take pictures of her with the character. Then she would take parting shots of the character. Then the next girl would do the same thing! It got very tiresome to see them do this day after day, and we really hated waiting in line behind them. Most people were short and sweet, in and out, but UGH not them.

We met Donald.

Minnie was still scheduled to come out, but we had enough of waiting in lines. Instead we were ready for.

And This. I had to have one, it was a Blue Margarita! And this is when I learned that our pixie dust candy giving was not for naught. We had given out candy a year ago on the Wonder. If Fran had not broken her leg we would have been on the Wonder in May, and then again in October. Not only did we want to spread pixie dust, but we also hoped that folks might remember us. After I ordered the Blue Margarita I gave the bartender my KTTW and a handful of Candy. He said to me in a Jamaican accent, “Ah, now I remember you ladies, you give out the candy! You were on this ship before! I was lookin at you trying to remember where I knew you.” I explained that we had been on the ship a year earlier out of Miami. For the rest of the cruise, he was the nicest bartender and I tried to get all my DotD’s from the family pool from him for the rest of the cruise. A few times, he added an extra splash or two of the main booze ingredient!

We headed back to the room and I watched the buses returning from their excursions as it was almost sail
away time. In fact I think we were a little late leaving port because they were waiting on some excursions to return. They only wait if you are on Disney sponsored excursions.

Another seagull landed on the verandah, who knows how many landed here throughout the day?

The sealions were still here.

And a Pelican

As we pulled out of port, I noticed this HUGE container ship that had come in during the day. The port workers had their jobs cut out for them!

Today was the day for the Castaway Club Gold and Platinum reception. I had never been to one before as we only turned Gold the day before and I was looking forward to the free drinks, and Mickey Rice Krispie Treat. The reception was in Diversions (a bar that I have rarely been to on the Wonder) and we headed down Route 66 on our way there.

Fran had a Bellini

While I had a glass of Champagne

Waiters came by with Butler passed Hors d’oeuvres and I got a few pictures.

And stitch came by to say “hi”

But I didn’t get a picture of our Rice Krispy treats! Doh!

On our way back to the room, we stopped to see Minnie in her Formal wear.

As you can tell by the pictures with Minnie, it was formal night tonight. We had a bit of time before dinner pictures once we got back to the room as the one we took with Minnie was before the Main Dinner seating. So I turned on the TV and I think the Incredibles was playing at this point. It’s great that I’ve seen all these movies, but I’ve forgotten some of the parts, so seeing them again on the cruise is really fun. On past cruises we had gone all out with Fran in her tux and I wore a really nice dress, but we were feeling a little more California casual this trip. So when we went back out for the pictures we were just having fun.

We got dressed and ready early for pictures. Here’s Fran reading her tablet as we wait for the characters to come out. We were first in line. Minnie was the first one we lined up for.

She had me take this shot of the carvings at the excursion desk.

Minnie finally came out and we got our shots.

We went up to Deck 4 to see Mickey

Then we went to see Pluto.

The characters were done after that, and it was almost time for dinner, but since there always seemed to be a wait for dinner, we decided to get a few photos with the other photographer who was out. Besides our dinner that night was at Triton’s which was just off the photo lobby, so it wouldn’t take us long to get there when we were done.

After that we headed off to our dinner and had no wait to be seated at the table. Also we hadn’t missed anything as our tablemates hadn’t even ordered yet.

Here are the menus:

I ordered the Imperial Illusion (again, stick with the drinks on the menu and they arrive much more quickly!) This was really delicious!

I got the Iced Lobster and Jumbo Shrimp, it was good, but not super special.

Fran got the Breaded and Deep Fried Brie. She really enjoyed it. I was afraid that it would be fried with the rind on, and that’s the main thing I don’t like about brie cheese is the rind.

The next three courses are why Triton’s is my favorite restaurant on the ship (after Palo). The French Onion Soup. This is a favorite of mine almost anywhere and here it does not disappoint!

Fran had the Potage Parmentier or Leek and Potato Soup. She seemed to like it quite a bit.

For my main, I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb Medium. It was very tasty! I was also considering the Lobster pasta in Brandy sauce. Maybe another time. They have taken the Lobster Mac and Cheese off the menu which is probably a good thing, it sounded better than it tasted.

Fran went with the Chateaubriand Roasted Filet Steak. She was very pleased with her choice.

We took a picture with our serving team before dessert, they were a lot of fun!

I didn’t take a picture of the dessert menu, probably because I didn’t even look at one. Fran must have looked because she didn’t want anything on it, she got a Mickey bar.

But this was the entire reason that I love Triton’s so much, the Grand Marnier Souffle!

And you say “Alison, why are you showing us a second set of your soufflé pictures?” I’m not, I have to get two of these when I eat here, and the second one was better than the first. I think they have them ready made for the first round of orders, then they have to start remaking them for the guests who are a little slower with their dinners. The second one was much more fresh and hot.

Since I had the DSLR, I took a picture of the mural on the wall.

And after two Grand Marnier Souffles what do you expect me to do? Go back to the room and pass out! But not before reading our Navigators and finding our towel animal for the night.

So.....Have you seen it? :scratchin

Both of them!
I thought the second one was a little weak though.
Ed Harris is trying to kill you... then he's not. Well he is. Then he's a stand up guy.
Um...

Your dinner at Triton's looks awesome! Totally the right room to be in for Formal Night & awesome menus. The French onion soup looks great!

You guys look so happy with the characters and really seem to be enjoying yourselves! That is totally how vacation should be.

and there wasn’t anything that really floated our boat, so to speak,

OMG. You didn't just do that!

There was Caprese salad and sandwiches.

You know... I'm not sure if I've ever actually had a Caprese salad.
It seems like I should have. And I know what it is... but... :confused3

Minestrone Soup, Stovetop Mac n Cheese and Chicken Nuggets

This was “baked” Mac n Cheese, Broccoli and Polenta

I think the stovetop Mac looks more appetizing to me.

The first one was Chicken Cacciatore and I wanted some, but it was full of olives. Blech!

Agreed!!!
Olives are a great way to spoil an otherwise perfect dish.
Any dish.

This was my plate

I see what you did with the butter, there.

I went back and got some minestrone for me. Notice the Mickey head pasta.

Huh!

A lot of these people ended up giving up.

The little boy being held sure looks like he's had enough.

See those two girls in front of Fran? OMG we always ended up in character lines with them and they were so obnoxious.

I wonder if they're on the DIS?
That level of commitment just makes me wonder.

Instead we were ready for.

Slippery floors! You were ready for slippery floors, right?

He said to me in a Jamaican accent, “Ah, now I remember you ladies, you give out the candy!

:goodvibes And how big a smile did you guys have when he said that?

They only wait if you are on Disney sponsored excursions.

Ah. I would freak out if I got back late and the ship was gone.

Another seagull landed on the verandah

You guys are popular with the avian crowd.

As we pulled out of port, I noticed this HUGE container ship that had come in during the day.

That thing looks like it shouldn't be able to stay upright!

I was looking forward to the free drinks, and Mickey Rice Krispie Treat.

Two of my favourite things.
"Free" and Rice Krispie Treat.

Fran had a Bellini

I like those.
One of the few that I do.

As you can tell by the pictures with Minnie, it was formal night tonight.

I was going to ask if you had to dress up to the nines.
But are there people who don't dress up at all? ie. shorts and sandals? Or do you have to dress up at least a little?

After that we headed off to our dinner and had no wait to be seated at the table. Also we hadn’t missed anything as our tablemates hadn’t even ordered yet.

Good timing.

stick with the drinks on the menu and they arrive much more quickly!

Thanks for the tip!

The next three courses are why Triton’s is my favorite restaurant on the ship (after Palo). The French Onion Soup. This is a favorite of mine almost anywhere and here it does not disappoint!

Mmmmmm... And it looks good, too.

For my main, I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb Medium.

Mmmmm... love rack of lamb too...

And you say “Alison, why are you showing us a second set of your soufflé pictures?” I’m not, I have to get two of these when I eat here, and the second one was better than the first.

And it looks more soufflé too!

And after two Grand Marnier Souffles what do you expect me to do? Go back to the room and pass out!

 I guess so!

I probably shouldn't be looking at this thread before eating breakfast. I almost took a bite out of my computer. pluto:

The girls ahead of you in the character line would have driven me nuts. I do try to remind myself that not everyone has lived as close to Disney as I have and that they probably haven't grown up seeing characters, but some things I just can't tolerate. I think I would have gone to the back of the line just to get away from them.

Overall, the trip sounds excellent. I might be able to wrangle my husband into doing a Mexican cruise if I tell him how much fun he can have by staying the ship. He's afraid of Mexico. I told him about just getting off to buy medications, though! That can be beneficial if we can figure out the spanish names for everything.

Sounds good! Italian food always works for me but if it is a chance to see a few more characters, why not?

This was my plate
OMG! That looks exactly like the trays we used to use in high school. Suddenly, it makes me worry about that buffet...

After that we headed over the to the character meet. We got in line while Captain Hook was there but the line was fairly long, and by the time we got to the front of the line they had switched to Stitch. We did as we usually do, I got a picture solo with the character, then the both of us, and then Fran got a solo picture.
What? You wait for Captain Hook and get Stitch? Rip off. :sad2:

get pictures of the character “playing with themselves”.
Thank you for remembering this is a family board and not posting any of these pictures.

Minnie was still scheduled to come out, but we had enough of waiting in lines. Instead we were ready for.
Yeah... ice cream always wins.

Awesome! Always nice when a good deed pays off!

Today was the day for the Castaway Club Gold and Platinum reception. I had never been to one before as we only turned Gold the day before and I was looking forward to the free drinks, and Mickey Rice Krispie Treat.
Congratulations on your gold status. You've definitely earned a free drink from them.

And stitch came by to say “hi”
He's showing up everywhere!

But I didn’t get a picture of our Rice Krispy treats! Doh!
That's alright. We've all seen one.

Dinner looks delicious. But I'd be tempted to skip the food and say just bring me one of each dessert. :rotfl2: I'm glad your second dessert was hot and fresh!

All of your photos with the characters are very nice. Congrats on your gold membership. The meal at Triton's look very appetizing. I can understand why you like this restaurant a lot which has good choices of dishes to eat.

Sounds like you had fun with the characters!! And that blue margarita dotd looks fabulous!!

This is a great picture of the three of you!! And I love !!!! that dress! I think the color really suits you!

Another great looking drink! I need to try to remember this one, it sounds delicious!

Michael would agree with you there!

For my main, I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb Medium. It was very tasty!

I have always been afraid of ordering lamb on the ship as I am afraid it might not be good. But if you recommend it, I will make sure to try it next time.

And you say “Alison, why are you showing us a second set of your soufflé pictures?” I’m not, I have to get two of these when I eat here, and the second one was better than the first. Yes, the first one does look a bit flat, I was going to comment on that. I am glad that you got a second one. I always dream of ordering two, but then am always so full after the first one. Those soufflés are so good!

Since I had the DSLR, I took a picture of the mural on the wall.

I love the decor in Triton's! I hope they don't destroy it when the refurbish the Wonder. Lumiere's on the Magic is so boring in comparison and the Royal Court/Palace on the Dream and the Fantasy are too over the top in my opinion. But then, Triton's was the place of my first ever DCL dinner, so it does have a very special place for nostalgic reasons as well.

Wow, you've been busy!

Thank you for the link I watched Inferno and Purgatorio. Wow! Intense! Scary! Your solo was eerie. Your band is so good! That music was super hard! And you are first chair! You go girl! Is Fran the first chair clarinet? I see her right there on the edge front row, left side, right?

And loved your cruise pictures too! I love y'all's clothes! The Mickey shirt and that red dress! You both have such nice clothes!

I would not want to wait a long time for pictures and those girls making the characters "play with themselves" :sad2: How many people were on the cruise?

The food looked delicious as always! And the restaurant wall was beautiful. Do they tell you which restaurant you are assigned to? And you eat at a table with other people? The same other people all the time?
