Wife and I. Some of your favorite things to do in DW as couple or adults?

Visit the other deluxe hotels and we are foodies so we love to eat around the World at EPCOT. We also love strolling through the countries at EPCOT at night especially during nighttime EMH. There's just something magical about it. :goodvibes

As many posters mentioned- eating and drinking take priority when traveling with your adult partner sans kids. Drinking and/or eating around the world is a MUST (and let's be real, if your drinking around the world, you should be snacking too). If you are foodies (the fiancé and I are), try eating at some Signature or "finer" dining (Victoria & Alberts, Narcoses, Jiko, Flying Fish, Yachtsman, etc.) I haven't been to Jelly Rolls since I was a CM and 21, but also something you can't "do" with kids. Also, there are add on activities- Wild Africa Trek at AK, Bass fishing, etc.

If you're going the week before Thanksgiving, Osbourne lights and all the decorations should be up- so a night in the Studios would be a must-do. There is also the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, and touring the different resorts to take pictures of the Christmas decorations (like the gingerbread houses at GF).

Lastly, we book at least a moderate (POFQ or Coronado Springs), possibly Deluxe if the discounts are available, rather than the more little kid intense and crowded values when doing an adults only trip because the fiancé likes to take "chill" time in the afternoon at the pool before a nice TS at a resort.

My husband has never been and I wanted to plan something fun and romantic. He is a foodie and we were considering going between parks and resorts to try different restaurants. Is this feasible?

Take a boat ride from Port Orleans (either) Resort to Downtown Disney at night time! They are relatively small boats (jungle cruise size as far as occupants), but the view of the lights off the water as you arrive is spectacular! I love it! And you can see so much more than just passing it all by from the outside on the street.
A very similar situation is taking a boat ride from one side of the "world" in Epcot to the other. boats drive back and forth from all sides. Something about the night time and the lights. It's a relatively short ride, but so pretty!

My favorite all adult thing is taking it slower and doing what you want :) We do spend more time with what hte resorts have to offer and we take in the little details in the parks a lot better. There's a lot of enjoyment watching everyone else fight with their kids and we don't have to do that anymore :)

The horse carriage ride in port orleans is nice.

My wife and I are heading back to Disneyworld this fall during the week before Thanksgiving. What are some of your favorite things to do when you go? It can be anything big or small. for instance, I always enjoy taking the boat to Fort Wilderness and checking out the horses and animals. Or, another of our favorite things is to pin trade.
Thank you for starting this thread. We've never been to Fort Wilderness and I was wondering if it is ECV friendly. I am disabled and require mobility assistance. I would love to see the horses and animals there. TIA

All of WDW is ecv friendly.. They even have a bus that goes back and forth inside fort wilderness as it's that large.

For our kidless trip we are doing everything we would NEVER do with our two toddlers!
Fishing Excursion
Tea at the GF
Signature dinners every night
NO BUFFETS

Head to Tom Sawyer Island and relax in the rocking chairs (in the shade) and watch the guests on BTMRR. Or we love to ride BTMRR during Wishes. It's such an amazing view. Try some new restaurants. Some of my favorites: Yak & Yeti (AK,) Via Napoli (Epcot,) The Plaza (MK,) Be Our Guest (MK,) Mama Melrose's (HS,) Sunshine Seasons (quick service- Epcot.) Go shopping- pick out a special Christmas ornament or some home decor or art that will remind you of the special trip when you're back at home. Find a new spot to watch Wishes (that's not on Main Street.) And I agree- walk around new resorts! They're all so great! Have fun!

My wife and I are in our 60's and we travel down to WDW every year. We have gone with our kids and grandkids but now it is just the two of us and it's been the best vacations of them all. We are no longer in a rush mode-no need to get to the opening ceremonies, no need to get fast passes. We spend the day doing what we want, when we want, where we want. If the line for a ride is more than 20 minutes, we just keep on walking. Fortunately we travel in the off season so the crowds are a lot lighter than most times. We break up the day by visiting a park in the morning. Go back to the resort for some pool time and then go to a different park for the evening. We really take out time by looking at every little thing. We try to find the hidden Mickey's. We marvel at the architecture of the park. We stop to watch the parades and especially the children's faces. It's not about how many rides we go on, it's the interactions with the CM's, people watching, eating way too much. Heck, we even love the bus rides back and forth from the parks to the resorts and back again. Good time to meet people from all around the world. Best way to explain it is, we go slow, enjoy everything, and savor each moment. 197 days and we're back.

This sounds exactly like how I want to do WDW! Someday we'll go without the kids; just the two of us. So looking forward to that day, but it is far into the future with many, Many, MANY years of WDW memories to be made with our children in the meantime!
