Tickets from Airmiles

Isn't this the forum for Canadian trip planning- whether it be DL or WDW? Given this is a thread about arormiles, I would have thought it a suitable question to ask?
I'm not trying to give you a hard time and there is nothing wrong with asking the question. My intention was to direct you to the place that you can get the info you want.

If you look at the top of this page there is a tab for DL. This forum, yes, is Canadian Trip Planning but we are in the WDW section of the site. The discussion here is about WDW. If you go to the DL section you will find people that go to DL and can actually answer your question. Someone here might have an answer for you but as you can see by the other responses they didn't know what you were talking about.

I must be blind but I'm missing the DL tab you are mentioning- or do you mean the DL specific section with it's 3 forums? I thought this section was for Canadians to discuss trips down to Disney parks? or is there a Canadian trip planning forum specifically for DL? Is that what you mean? I just did a quick search of this forum and there seems to be a lot of threads about the DL?

Ok, i'm going to try to put the issue of which "forum" you should be looking in for information re:tickets for Disney LAND to bed. Yes there is a separate section of the forums for DL but NO there is not an extra section within it that is specifically for Canadian-slanted information. HOWEVER, i did slip over there for you and enter AIRMILES into the search bar and told it to look only in that forum and it did show a few responses made by Canadians.

I don't think we need to continue beating this poor horse to death, rather continue to help each other out with information that we have either through 1st hand experience or to give positive suggestions for finding out whatever we need to know. Long & short it appears CdnCarrie has helped you out :worship:

We got our DL tickets from Air Miles and they did include magic morning. Magic morning is available to anyone with a 3 day or more ticket. Don't confuse it with the extra magic hour which is only available for those who are staying onsite at a DL hotel. I've seen lots of people arrive for magic morning at California Adventure but it only has extra magic hour.

Ok so has anyone got all their points yet? I received my first batch, but haven't been loaded with the ones from the sunday. I know it took some time last time, but with the first ones going so quick was hoping for all them. Oh well have to be patient. Jumped right to Gold status though.:sunny:

Should be Thursday.

I'm sad that Sobey's isn't on Vancouver Island anymore but super excited that Thrifty's now gives AM instead of their own points system! They have some great deals at times and I've found food there that's cheaper than Walmart! Plus the AM on top of it? That's just awesome!

I'm sorry I missed out on the Sobeys deal! But I have noticed they seem to have a 50 air miles meal pretty much every week, so I have been adding that in to my rotation, gives us a chance to try something new and get AM every week. I may actually get to gold this year ;) and perhaps earn some Disney tickets before we plan to go (sometime late next year).

Hi Jacqueline, I honestly wasn't trying to offend you or anything, I just really thought this forum was for all Canadian related questions, and given this topic was about airmiles, I figured this was the place to ask, rather than starting a whole new thread etc. :)

The Sobeys flyer looks pretty good again this week. I should be good for 150 or 200 miles by stocking up on some things I use anyway.

I bought my daughter a laptop on the 19th through the airmiles shop online. It was 3x the points at Amazon, plus a bonus 25 airmiles for every $100 spent. I should be getting 326 miles for that. It makes me nervous that it isn't up yet.
DH (who drives a ton for work and therefore buys a lot of gas) has been using Shell to fill up exclusively, we are only getting things from the LCBO that have bonus points and I started going to Rexall instead of Shoppers Drug Mart.
I am at 860 miles and should be at 1380 in the next week or so.
I need to get to 3400 by December. I think I can do it. Especially if I shop through airmilesshops.ca link and use those bonus offers for back to school and Christmas shopping as well. I want to have at least one of our Disney tickets for our January trip taken care of with airmiles. Now that I am more savvy I will collect all year for 2016 and hopefully get all of our tickets. I'm so bummed the super gift card deal didn't work for us though. But we'll get there.

Rexall has a big weekend too. Spend $50 and get $100. I use those weekends to stock up on allergy meds which are so expensive. Anything that is normally expensive, I'll stock up on. Doesn't take long to get 300 points.

There are also a few 100 point coupons through airmiles themselves at Sobeys and Metro for this weekend and next in the Better Bonus Event that is linked through the airmiles page.

Oops once again, the annoying problem with social media, words are taken out of context without the accompanying body language & facial expressions. That is actually exactly what i was trying to say!! I was trying to say that to send you elsewhere for information that is related to Airmiles was sort of pointless ... BUT once again, i didn't make that clear i guess. I wasn't offended at all, just trying to help you find out the answer to your question (i hope you have that BTW??)

Thank you Damo I will check all of these out! I just bought a big box of Claritin for my severely allergic 11 year old son. His hayfever is awful. The Dr. recommended I switch him to adult meds because he's at 100 pounds. Long story short he had a bad reaction to the claritin ( made him terribly upset and weepy for two days until I clued in) so I need to go get some different allergy meds this weekend. I'll hit up Rexall again and get the 100 points.
