The Diamond Adventure: Pretrippie to trippie (arts, crafts & photos galore)

My one daughter loves all things Peter Pan, so everyday she will be wearing her different Peter Pan shirts each with a different themed bow. I've made her a Hook, Peter Pan, Nanna, Francis the Lady Bug and a flowered comb for Dapper Days outfit. Mine are all Villain related. I am Disney Bounding as Cruella, Ursula, Maleficent, Evil Queen and Vanessa. I own lots of purple and black so three of them were real easy. I've got hair bows for Vanessa and Ursula and I started my Cruella one tonight. I will finish it tomorrow.

I'd love to see photos if possible x

Ok, figured I'd do an update. I finished the autograph books…took me 3 days but they are done *touch wood* lol

I started by adapting the cover design of this talented diser here:
http://www.disboards.com/threads/4x6-disneyland-diamond-anniversary-autograph-pages.3427504/

I got most of the character gifs from disneyclips.com and I found the others (and background pics on the main pages) online.

So the covers now look like this:

Obviously one each.

I've left a white trim on the pages and especially on the left as I'm getting them printed and bound (at snapfish). The pages are (in the order that follows):

I've repeated the villains one, the princesses and the walt/general pages in the book so it works out at about 40 pages.

wow, the books/pages look great! Love how you changed up the "film strips" in the corners as well

I'll be impressed if you get Walt's signature ;) I assume those are just for characters that don't have their own page

The autograph books arrived this morning :) They are 6x4 photograph size. Used this last year and sharpie's worked fine we just gave it 5 secs to dry.

Ok long overdue update.

I was chatting to Steph and she mentioned she'd made herself a loom band bracelet in ariel colours. I'd never made one before but I thought it would be fun to do them for our Disney bounding. My friend works in a general toy store that sells them so she grabbed some for me and gave me a quick tutorial. Here's what I came up with:

Avengers first (Left top then clockwise). Iron man, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Captain America and Hulk

Then the princesses: Rapunzel with a single green band for pascal, Flounder as Steph had done her own for Ariel, Pocahontas (I'm gonna make brown and tan ones too), Snow White and Belle

Then Toy Story. Barbie from TS3 (multicoloured stripe bit is her legwarmer), alien (green, white, black is the head and eyes), Jessie, Buzz (with bits for his buttons) and Woody

And finally, the classics. Oswald, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and then Daisy's green bangle.

Those are fun! I like the idea of adding that to the Disneybounding costumes

Thanks :D I'm quite proud of them considering I just learnt how to do it lol.

Further updates…we've booked photopass. It's so worth it between us all although now I'm on the hunt for updated info on magic shots, etc. We've also *touch wood* got Halloween tickets for Oct 5th. I booked them on 29th but I'm one of many caught up in the 'glitch' so I don't have my e-tickets. The money has gone out and I've had a confirmation number from Disney, just not the tickets. I've emailed them back just to get them to either resend them or to at least confirm I have 5 and for that date.

Oh gosh - that would make me nervous .... I am sure it will all work out but personally I always worry about logistic type stuff so would be a bit uneasy until actually in the party. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm little apprehensive. I figure if I get it in an email though I can have that with me as backup x

Ok, so life at the house of mouse got busy (Star Wars) so I've not had time to update for ages. But with 2 weeks to go I feel I should.

We have sorted most things *touch wood*. So far we have booked:
  • Tickets for Disney
  • Tickets for Disney's Halloween party on 5th (bit traumatic with the lost email but Disney have confirmed the booking, the date, etc.)
  • Tickets for Universal Studios. We decided against the Halloween night here. In my case it's cause I hate Michael Myers and he is one of the main characters. Eddie and Steph wussed out with me and the others decided they'd rather not go
  • Tickets for Warner Studios Tour (yep, we added this for our last morning. This trip is so not going to be restful lol)
  • Tickets for the Walt Disney Museum
  • Tickets for an evening tour of Alcatraz
  • Train tickets to get down to Heathrow
  • Taxi back from Heathrow

Car hire and hotels etc were already booked although I'm slightly concerned because my travel insurance doesn't cover bags in a locked car (or hotel room…which seems odd but I guess that is hotel insurance). My insurance also cost me £90 *sigh* due to high blood pressure but oh well, I need cover for the USA. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to get cover for our luggage. Any ideas?
