Cm's suppose to stop group chanting

Values, mainly All-Stars.

And POP. When a good portion were leaving on private coach buses to a costume party we counted over 600 and the resort was still plenty full. I would estimate 1000 were there.

I wonder how long this thread will go on before a moderator locks it. The one last week did not even mention or refer to the country of origin and it was locked.

For what it is worth, I don't think it matters where these groups come from. I think it is all about the size of a group(s) that is allowed to move through the parks as a unit. It throws off all of the statistics on how the parks can enjoyably accommodate a large number of guests.

On our trip earlier this month we encountered several tour groups but only one instance of chanting. It was at the loading point of Rock n Roller Coaster. The middle aged man leading the group actually began and encouraged his girls to join in. It was not that big of a problem because they were soon in their cars and off.

Well, all I can say is that if what you say is true, we would never see complaints about people being placed amid Pop Warner groups, bands and large tour groups. But we do see those complaints.

You're right. We do see THOSE complaints. A search of the DIS for PW or Pop Warner will produce a lot of threads and posts with complaints and/or concerns about those groups as well as strategies on how to avoid them. They aren't locked or deleted.

I've actually never experienced the chanting, but on other occasions when I have complained about being affected by guest behavior all I got from Disney was the standard line, "We cannot control guest behavior." It was like speaking to a robot. (In our situation, they could have actually controlled where they PLACED us in vicinity to the guest behavior, like seating us at a different table, but that's a different story). I'd just be surprised if Disney changes their tune. I guess if enough people complain and they think it will adversely affect profits, they will do something. Otherwise, they "cannot control guest behavior".

The picture you show was obviously a planned photo shoot for the team and I have never seen them in the parks in uniform.

Yes,that is a picture of the "All-Star" cheerleaders from all over the USA who performed in the opening "scene" of the Christmas special:).

I stayed at PC in July (16 and 17) ... lots of tour groups at the resort, parks and DTD. First night there was a group of people sitting on a wall below my room (I was on the 4th floor) ... they were SOOOOO loud ... worst yet was the gal that kept shrieking with laughter. Exhausted and wanting/needing to get to sleep, I called the front desk and complained (it was 1:15AM), CM said she'd send security out and they must have come b/c the group quieted down shortly thereafter. The next night they were back out there at midnight, but they kept the noise down to a bearable level.

Next trip I'm going to ask to be put back in the 50's or 60's section ... it much quieter at that end of the resort.

I also found it annoying that the tour groups would fill the entire sidewalk at the resort and run you over if you didn't step off the walks and out of their way.

This is a real issue? I haven't been since 2012 and I don't remember it. Lord that is gonna get on my nerves real quick.

The only thing people can do is stop going during the months that the groups are there.

They stay offsite too so it might be worth asking if you are booking offsite during those months.

You pit 50 cheerleaders from Tennessee against 50 from Alabama and they are all in line together for RnR, a friendly rivalry will break out and soon you have 100 loud girls chanting and singing. It amazes me that this is so off-putting to some. I really do get a sense of cultural bias bleeding through here.

Sounds like you may be the parent of someone on a cheer squad. If you are literally amazed that some people would find "100 loud girls chanting and singing" to be "off-putting" then there is no common frame of reference within which to have a discussion -- I find it equally amazing that anyone could fail to understand how that is off-putting. But in any event, implying that the people who disagree with you are racist seems a little beyond the pale.

When the actual ratio differs from the expected ratio, what does Disney do? Turn away the revenue and ship the group back to the airport, or shrug its shoulders, let them in and say: "Have a magical day!"

Disney might not send that group back to the airport, but they can tell them that the tour company is barred from the property for three years if they show up with inadequate supervisors. They can also require that the tour company hire Disney tour guides at an exorbitant rate. There are many other options besides pretending that it is not off-putting.

It's the large tour groups of teens who start singing and chanting. Sometimes at inappropriate times. Once one group does it, another hears and it's like a domino effect sometimes.

It's as difficult to patrol as the inevitable sneaking in of a selfe stick. I can't see a CM wading through a crowd to tell people off!
we have also seen them add clapping to the chanting ..

At some point the only people that will be there in January and July are the chanters...then Disney will do something.

Maybe a new sign at entrance. NOTICE: NO LOUD TALKING, CHANTING, LAUGHING, CRYING, ETC. ANYONE CAUGHT NOT WHISPERING WILL BE REMOVED FROM PARK IMMEDIATELY!

Come on really... Have you been in line or a confined place with one of these groups.. ????

Yep. I'm willing to bet that Disney is already worried about this issue and that's why they hired the super greeters. This isn't a small issue, it's mentioned in most likely every resource about what time of the year to go to WDW.
