Sorry for the late post. Giftcardrescue worked no issues. I did have to call to verify as others mentioned. Also I maxed out my $100 and can't order again until my 30 days is up, ok...

Target still having issues with tax on the $100 gift cards. They were willing to let me place the order and then refund the tax but I opted just to buy two $50 gift cards. Still need more target GC if anyone knows of better than 7% please post.

Thanks,

You can actually order more physical gift cards within the 30 days. Not sure how much time you have, but from order to delivery for physical cards to California, it's been taking about a week. In case anyone is interested, GCR is having a 2% flash sale on Target cards until midnight EST tonight, which bring the total discount to 9%. The code is FLASH2. Just bought another $400 more for myself.

Does anyone know if there's a way to combine Target e-gift cards into one? I looked and found that on the Target app you can combine mobile and physical gift cards, but it specifically states that it won't work with e-gift cards. I'm running into the limit of the number of e-gift cards you can use at one time on Target.com and the size of the gift cards I can find.

I'm not sure why it says that about egift cards because I combine them all the time?
I use the mobile site on my computer to combine them with no issues.

Thanks. First time trying this, was a little intimidated to spend so much $$ in Target cards if I wasn't going to be able to use them to buy the Disney cards!

Just was at Kroger in Richmond. The coupon that printed out with my receipt said they will be running 4x fuel points 7/29-8/11!

Thanks for the heads up, although when I log into my Fry's "account" and look under "coupons" I am not seeing it. Hope they update it soon and that is for all of their stores.

So is it best to buy Fry's GC's first off something like Raise and then buy the Disney GC's at Fry's with the Fry's GC? Do they allow that?

The Fry's coupon expired yesterday. I know Kroger mid-Atlantic has 4x points on gift cards through 8/11 (no coupon). My best option is buy a target gift card at Kroger with amex blue preferred and use that at target, but it depends on your credit card rewards and gas use. I used to pay with a kroger gift card which I loaded with my amex but they discontinued part of their community giving program so I pay with my amex.

Is there a list someplace that will allow you to pay with gift cards for other gift cards? For example, I had asked if you could buy other gift cards with CVS gift cards at CVS and was told no. Looking at all the rewards programs I belong to and trying to figure out what the best store cards to get are. I know about Target, but wondered about others....and which stores sell Disney cards. Thanks!!

I am a "noobie" at this. Has anyone ever had a problem using gift cards to buy other gift cards in stores? Which stores are OK? Which are a no-go?

This thread is a little overwhelming to a new-comer! :guilty:

This is probably the best place to check: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/finance/1001041/

Generally speaking; Target, Best Buy, Sears, Toys R Us, and sometimes Staples. And some regional grocery stores like Kroger. You will sometimes get a funny look, or be told it won't work. Sometimes they'll require manager approval if it's over a certain amount.

so am i understading this correctly...
1) sign up for Target Red Card
2) buy discounted Target cards on Cardpool (save 7%)
3) Go through Ebates and link to Target (2% cash back)
4) Buy Disney Gift Cards through Target website, use Red Card membership number (save 5%, 14% total)
5) use Disney gift cards to buy admission tickets, food, and souveniers?

And I can consolidate all my Disney gift cards onto one card? Correct?

Yes, you can combine up to $1000 worth on each card.

Pretty much!

Only thing I see an issue with is number 3. Some people have gotten the cash back and others haven't. SOme that used to receive it have reported not receiving it now. i never was able to get the cashback on ebates or points on swagbucks, but I do go through Mypoints.com and get the point every time.

I tried with ebates multiple times and only ever got cash back from 1 visit. So I would not factor that in. Rather expect not to get it and possibly get a surprise.

Thanks everyone! That stinks about Ebates, I used it 2 years ago and got $65 back from a black Friday deal. I suppose it's still worth a try though. My next question is can I use Disney Gift cards to purchase admission tickets through Disney.com or can I only use them to purchase tickets at the gate? I'm hoping to get the magic morning so I'd like to purchase in advance.

You can use the gift cards to buy tickets online.

One other step you can try is sign up for topcashback.com and go through them to buy your target gift cards from cardpool and raise. Cardpool you get 2% and Raise you get 1%. SOme have reported not getting their cash back every time, but I have had no issues.

Step 6, deposit gift cards in to Disney vacation account and let it sit for 120 days, then get a $20 gift card for every $1,000 spent.

I did find that I didn't always get credit within my Ebates rewards, but there is a way within to request it if you have a copy of the email confirmation from Target. They've always credited me almost immediately then.

They may give you a courtesy credit, but the email should say you shouldn't have earned ebates because what you bought was excluded. I personally wouldn't request a credit for something I shouldn't have received in the first place.
