**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

So what is everyone most looking forward to?

This is only my second visit, and last time RSR was closed because of weather, so I'm very excited to experience that. And I can't wait to see Paint the Night and the DL Forever fireworks, and to just really take it all in - our first visit was a day trip and went way too fast!

I leave in 3 days, woohoo!!! :flower1:

6 days until we leave! This past weekend, we got the oil changed, tires balanced, and alignment done on our minivan since we'll be driving out to California. Yesterday afternoon, YDD (who will be 7 tomorrow) said, "Mama, I think that we should do this every year." I said, "Do what, honey?" YDD replied, "Go to Disneyland! It's fun! We should do it every year."

YAY! I'VE CONVERTED ANOTHER ONE INTO THE FOLD! Hahaha :rotfl:

Maybe it helped that we took the kids on Saturday evening this past weekend to a Frozen Sing A Long and my kids dressed up in their Elsa costumes...and that the movie theater had an Anna & Elsa meet and greet. Hey, we were prepping! Prepping for Disneyland, that is! :rotfl2: We went with some friends and we all met up at a place for dinner before the movie. At one point, all of the kids in our group were getting a little antsy, they kept getting up & stuff and were getting rambunctious. So I told ODD & YDD quietly, "Girls, listen. You are wearing your fancy Elsa dresses right now, so you represent Queen Elsa and her sister. I don't think that Elsa would act like this in a restaurant. Now, we're almost done and we'll be leaving soon, so please go and put on your best princess manners and sit at the table like the proper princesses that you are dressed like right now." OMG, you know what? My little speech worked! They were very polite & ladylike the rest of the time we were at the restaurant. Then, of course, once we got outside and walked to the car, there was lots of jumping up and down like this...

:jumping1:

1 week from today, I'll be skipping down Main Street with my kids.

We leave Utah on Saturday and are spending the night in Vegas. We will be in the parks Sunday though. So excited. I am not sure what I or the kids are most excited about but I'd say the Discover the Magic tour is the one thing they are talking most about which we are doing on Friday. We have loads to keep us busy and we can't wait to get there.
wsssup Yay I am so glad she's been cleared to travel.

One week from today we will be enjoying our first day in Disneyland and DCA!! Looking forward to seeing it all have not been since 1998, but probably the thing we are looking forward to the most is Cars Land!

So excited that we will be in the parks exactly one week from today! I'm looking forward to doing a lot more rides with my oldest son who is now just over 42". Last year he tried to go on Splash, but he was just barely too short and they gave us a card to bring with us once he is tall enough to go through the fast pass line. I was hoping my youngest would make it to 32", but looks like that's not happening. I'm also looking forward to Aladdin, PTN, and the beignets (never had them before).

3 weeks until I fly to California, 4 weeks until I walk down Main Street as I am staying in LA and at a friends house for a week before. Really looking forward to Fantasmic and Paint The Night. I have wonderful memories of my first Disney night time parade in WDW all the way back in 1992, hope I can get some photos this time around. Im in the middle of making a list of all the attractions and rides I havent done yet, as each time I go I try to do new things

5 days till we leave! Brought out the suitcases yesterday and started packing. I see the weather changed a bit. Now saying T-storms and a bit colder than before... may need to change a few shorts out for other pants ;)

I just checked the weather and it said AM clouds (June Gloom) and PM sun. I think that the high is going to be in the lower 70's while we are there with a 10% chance of rain.. I think I will a mixture of shorts and jeans. I leave tomorrow and I haven't packed yet. I'm behind.

FYI I live in Northern CA and was watching the Noon news. They are keeping an eye on a storm that may be coming through this weekend and into early next week with rain attached to it (hitting northern and southern CA)... depending on when you are leaving you may want to pack a couple extra pants and a light rain jacket. :) It looks like it will still be considered warm for us/me, even if it is raining. Enjoy your trip!!

I don't love that forecast, but I know many parts of California need the rain. So I will make the best of it and hope for at least smaller crowds at the parks if it rains! :-)

Good job waiting until 5 days before your trip to get the suitcases out! We're at 23 days out, and the suitcase came out this weekend. I've got the pressed-pennies-to-be all ready, the 3oz toiletries in their ziplock, and ears/pin lanyards packed!

Rain could be a good thing for us DL-bound folks! Because whenever it rains in southern CA, the locals stay away and DL is much quieter. Get a cheap $1 poncho from Walmart or the Dollar Store before you depart and you'll be just fine!

3 weeks before we drop DD off at GS camp and then drive to DL without anyone else to tell us what to do. It's an 8 hour drive after dropping her off but it's a glorious trip for us.

I confirmed our trip today. Made the last payment. The custom shirt company shipped our shirts. I am ready.

Have fun 2boysmom1998!~~

lalasmama - I had the kids get their pins and lanyards ready this weekend and went to the bank and got fresh new pennies as well. Can't wait!!!!

dreamseeker9 - I agree we need it, and hopefully will keep the masses away. That is what I am hoping for. Already got our rain ponchos packed! :)

I am too excited to sleep! :)
