RECITAL TIME :yay:

...BFF just called...she's on her way. We weren't sure she would get out of her flooded town of Gonzales but she made it through so we can now spend the afternoon saying how beautiful & talented out granddaughters are! :rolleyes:

Did a Chocolate Sundae 5K this morning. Had ice cream for breakfast. That was good.

I did make a LAst LAst LAst LAst LAst minute decision after the run to celebrate :lmao:

We made it through the recital....it rained the whole time but nothing serious....until we came outside and looked to our west:

...tornado touched down 2 cities blocks from my sisters house! :eek:

This is what youngest DD drove through on her way home:

...all is good...and recital was awesome! Nice dinner and visit with BFF and now we're just watching it RAIN!

This is a shelf of hourglasses in a park shop. It's not the Haunted Mansion shop (haven't been in there yet but can't wait!). :tink:

The 5K was near the house.

I get a lot of bonus bonus points for going and getting my own picture. You can not take this pic from the hub right now soooooo being the good roving do what it takes WITW news correspondant here is an up close and personal pic. :lmao:

Brief weather related interruption; DD's power was out about 30 minutes and it sure is "rumbling" out there again. One report on Facebook from a lady who got 1 1/2" in 15 MINUTES! Following a post now...the Brazos River bridge in Austin County looks like it may be "compromised"...middle pillar in danger of collapsing from the weight of the water. :crazy:

Sheriff's Dept. and TXDOT out there checking it out.

Back to a few laughs for you from the recital. Takes a special Dad to go onstage and dance with your daughter dressed like this... :lmao:

Enjoy that bbq...we're having some for lunch and then back to work for DH and son-in-law. The road to their house has developed a HUGE sinkhole (like one that required major assistance with heavy equipment) which swallowed S-I-L's huge diesel truck last Thursday. :rolleyes1

Hard work ahead of them this afternoon. :rotfl:
