What is Your Family's Ideal Number of Days at Disney?

10 days 9 Nights for my family once a year. We go during the week before and during Thanksgiving and it can get pretty expensive if it's longer than 10 days.

Our best trips have been 7-nights, 8- full days. We take the earliest flight there and the latest flight back home.

we do about 12. 6 day hopper with water park and more for another 6 days

I've never had the money to go for my ideal number of days...but I think my plan for our next trip will be 6 days/5nights. I think 10 is perfect. Why? That allows for 2 full days in each park as well as 2 other days to visit water parks, downtown disney, etc without losing valuable park time. My 6 day plan is as follows:

1. Arrive/check in and go to MK
2. Epcot
3. AK/Downtown Disney and/or Hoop De Doo
4. MK
5. HS/Epcot
6. MK/depart

Notice the lack of water parks there...

Frequent is not an option for us. We stay as long as finances permit, which is short of our "ideal" (which is probably about 10 days), much like PP.

In our case though, water parks are as much a priority as any of the main parks.

We are trying 7 full days this time - hoping that settles us. Last trip was WAY too short at 4 days.

If it were up to me (DH has tougher vacation restrictions than me) and money was not much of an object, I'd say 11-13 days would probably be perfect!!

We live about eight hours away from Disney, so we like to take longer, less frequent trips.

We like to have at least eight days. We use one each for AK and DHS, we spend about three each at Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We like to take our time and not run ragged, so we get there at a reasonable hour in the morning and have our dinner around five "ish". That way we can get back to the hotel and rewind before the next day. Ideally a couple of weeks would be great. :)

Our longest so far has been 8 (shortest 3), but we are going for 14 days this summer! Plan to spend a lot of time enjoying our surroundings and swimming at Stormalong Bay.

Between 7-9 days seems to be right for us. My kids are virtual home schoolers, so we can pretty much go whenever we like, and it's worked out for us to go in Nov/Dec. the last couple of times. Good students or not, though, it can be rough for them to be away too long. Not to mention we have several (ok a few more than several lol) animal friends and any longer than that and good pet care begins to get cost prohibitive.

We've always done a week and it never feels long enough. I think 10 would be perfect so we can do plenty of park days, a water park and lots of resort time.

My husband is self employed so days off are hard on the finances. We can usually only spring for 6 days every couple of years. I'd love to stay longer but am grateful for what we can do.

I'd love 12-14 but it would probably be that little bit too much. Ten is probably just about right, especially if we fly down instead of losing time to a drive.

Last year we did 7 nights/6 full days, and it didn't feel long enough. This year we're doing 9 nights/8 full days and I'm excited for the extra time - we'll be able to go at a more relaxed pace, and have time to try a water park.
