****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

SparkleMommy, you can see the excitement for this trip in your post! I hope you and your daughter have the most beautiful trip!

I just completed my Garden Grocer order this AM to get the 10% off, and have all my FP plans ready to go in 3 more days!

So Exciting! :tinker: Have fun!!!

Another single mom here and even when I wasn't....our trips have only been myself and my girl/s. We've always had a blast.

My family does not get my enthusiasm for all things Disney either. I've found friends in my area and also online to be able to obsess with. :earsgirl: It's Sooooo much fun!!

Ever since my little was born we have tried to find outfit themes since matching became hard with girls nearly 16 years apart. Since my big (18 this trip...celebrating graduation) refuses to let me dress her anymore (I have no idea why?!....lol) I mainly focus on the super cute outfits for the little (almost 3 this trip). I have ordered so much stuff it's not funny. We are doing a couple of theme days though. Our SWW day we all have Storm Trooper themed shirts and for one of our MK days we all have pink Cheshire cat shirts.

I hope ya'll have a truly magical trip!! Too bad our vacation days do not overlap...it would have been fun to have our little ones meet one another.

Your girls are beautiful!
I am trying to take full advantage of the fact that my kiddo still lets me pick out her outfits ... well sometimes. She's pretty headstrong and is a girl who has always known what she wants! LOL
I almost ordered lots of stuff online too (I did order a few things) but then I realized that I had a perfectly good new sewing machine going unused... Well, turns out that fabric is so expensive some things are more pricey to make! DOH! But the mouse silhouette shirts are way cheaper to make. I just bought what are called 'fat quarters'- pre-cut 1/4 yard squares for quilting that only cost 99cents. I can get at least two good sized mouse silhouettes out of one, more if I needed to probably, $4 t-shirts at the craft store, some wonderunder to turn the fabric into iron-on transfers, and contrasting fabric for Minnie bows. So for less than $5 a piece, we have some cute shirts. The t-shirts could actually be made without any sewing, but I like to add satin stitch edging.

It is too bad we don't overlap. Maybe next time... it is awesome that I say next time because I originally thought this would be our one and only Disney trip! What was I thinking?

I just have to say I LOVE the pics in your signature!! especially the hammock one-(at Poly Beach?) and the one with both the big kid and lil one:)

Me too! I love the one of your baby Cinderella in front of the castle (and it is extra magical that there is no one else in the picture). Oh and - random compliment- you have great hair! seriously great.

Enthusiasm waning? I don't think it's possible. We'll be at AoA from 18-25 June and there are times I want to explode!:earseek:

While we're there, I'll go crazy wanting to post pictures on Facebook. I won't because I don't want anything bad to happen to our six babies who have to stay home. :'(

If I knew how to sew I would do the same thing as you. I have a sewing machine too and I have yet to take lessons. I am sure your shirt/outfits will turn out adorably and way more special and unique than if you bought something. :earsgirl:

I remember my first trip that I planned for my eldest who was in 8th grade at the time. We had been before but this was the first trip that I planned and was in charge of everything. Little did I know how addicting it would be...lol I think I am hooked on the trip planning part as I am on Disney.

Well thank you!! :thanks: The Cindy pic...I kind of knew I wanted to do one in front of the castle but the Photopass photographer that took it was fabulous. He had all kinds of ideas. And thank you for the random compliment!...I needed a random compliment today. I have A LOT of hair!!...lol My hair and I fought with one another for many years and I think we have finally in the last few years made peace with one another. :hippie:

I highly recommend taking classes. JO-Ann's has great basics classes. I was lucky in that my mom and grandma were both professional seamstresses, so I had no choice but to learn! I'm not great but I enjoy it.
Here are my first (almost) completed sewing projects. These were super easy. I just need to add the
satin stitching around the silhouettes. That is the hard part- I'm just figuring out how to do this on
my new machine instead of doing it by hand. I keep making mistakes but still faster than hand stitching.

Those turned out amazing!!!

Tomorrow marks under 40 days! :hyper:

The closer we approach travel day the more I am overcome with excitement (and admittedly a little stress) and nerves! Since this could quite possibly be our only trip DW with the kids still in the house I want to make it as magical as I can. But, I also don't want to put too many high expectations on the trip as I know that can lead to a ruined trip when it doesn't live up to those expectations.

On a happier note I wrangled the whole family into wearing matching t shirts for a day! And we are starting to finalize park plans!! I can almost smell the scent of Main Street!

We don't arrive until June 30th so I am probably the last to do FP's ... Thursday night/Friday morning at midnight is my FP day... Since we are staying for 14 nights will I only be able to do 10 on that date or will all of my dates open up? We've never stayed so long before! TIA!

Thank you! I'm happy with them finally! I was getting a little frustrated but I got it figured out now. I have made 6 T-shirts so far (3 each for me and DD), and 3 skirts (1 for me, 2 for kiddo). I have a couple more T-shirts and some skirts/shorts for DD. I am glad I started earlier rather than later! I'm having fun now. I just need to make myself do other things too... like clean my house. :rotfl:

I know exactly what you mean! We are just under 50 days and I keep remembering things I have to do! I thought I was done with the planning after Fast Passes but then I remember something else! I've already started packing- sort of. I have a suit case open in my room that is accumulating items from the ridiculously long packing list I printed out... :tigger:

34 days to go and May is shaping up to be pretty busy! Got our itinerary with confirmation numbers all on one sheet printed out (and all the emails in one folder so can find easy if needed). Working on packing list-a little different this time as we are doing Star Wars days and need some "extra" stuff for that (light sabers from last year, stuff to trade with Jawas, ?possibly my son's Jedi costume) and I need to find my Frogg Togg Chill pads! Have looked all over and cannot figure out where I put them! Awaiting Magic Band shipment now so they can be decorated (ordered decorations from magicyourband)-I think we will tell the younger 2 kids once we get the magic bands. Only the oldest knows we are going (so she can make arrangements for missing the first few days of band camp).

just did our online check in and put in our room requests (ground floor landscape view at POP; we booked a preferred room already. hope we get a pixie dust sprinkle once there if not its all good!). can't believe june is almost here!

We are still 7! days out from booking fast passes and I still have no solid plan! I know for sure the first three days we will be going to AK, MK, and DHS but I have no plan for the other 4 days. It has really snuck up on me! I know for sure well add in another MK day and of course Epcot but beyond that I have no clue.

On the plus side, since our girls are older we can be a lot more flexible with fp+ times! The only rides we really can't love without would be TSM and TOT so crossing our fingers that some fp+ are left.

Arriving early June 26th for our Disneymoon! Staying at Coronado & it really hit the other day when I started booking fp+. Getting married here at home a week and a half before then and am pretty stoked about that, so yeah...lots of excitement going on. =)

Congratulations!
