Ticket Promo coming soon?

You mean beyond the discounted annual pass that's already available to DVC members?

Probably more like the special PAPs they have offered the last couple of years. That would be nice for us since ours will expire June 1 but don't need them again until the middle of September. I'm still trying to decide between renewing with the DVC discount or waiting until September to buy new APs with the discount. Love that DVC discount. :lovestruc

Out of curiosity, what was the cost of this special PAP that you speak of? We are waiting on the Estoppel part of purchasing DVC.

From previous posts (wasn't a DVC member at the time) I believe early last year it was the PAP for the AP cost (so water parks/disney quest free for the year)
In addition I think there were also past promotions for a 4 day 1 park per day (with no repeating parks) ticket for $199 and an PAP for $399

Most recently, the PAP deal was $484, while the normal DVC annual pass was $485. The normal pass actually started out lower, but became $1 more than the PAP after a Disney price increase. The annual pass has experienced another price increase as well as a reduction in the discount amount.

Would LOVE to see another 4 day ticket, but with no restrictions like the last one of one park per day!
Would be NICE for F&W this fall!:dance3: HERE'S TO HOPING!:wizard:

This would be a great deal for my family! I'm hoping this happens again soon!

We had to renew our AP's last month in order to book FP+'s for our May trip. In the past we would have waited until we got to WDW. We went from PAP (last years ticket promo) to an AP to save some money. Does anyone know if we can "upgrade" to a PAP if Disney does offer a promo PAP in the next few weeks?

In fall 2012, it was a PAP for $399. Last spring it was $484. Since AP's are now around $525, most likely the PAP deal would be around that if they have it again. I see posts wishing for the $399 again, very unlikely to happen, they are not going back to 2012 prices.

We ordered reg AP's in Feb, just days before this last price increase bcuz we knew it was coming (and so glad we did since they reduced the discount) but I was trying to hold out for that special deal like they had last year on the PAP. We went to DL & Aulani last year so couldn't do the deal. Anyway, I called to order them & asked the CM who helped me "what if" they have a better deal before our trip in July and she said to call back bcuz last year they gave out a "magic number" to people who had bought reg AP's before the deal came out (which weren't activated yet) and this "magic number" allowed them to get the upgrade without penalty!! So I am definitely keeping my eyes out for a special on the PAP!!

Thank Anal Annie. I don't have too much hope that we can exchange our AP's for special offer PAP's because our trip is in three weeks. But you never know and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I so want the PAP deal again.

Me too!! We usually only do the regular AP bcuz we don't always get 2 summer trips planned (sometimes 1 summer & 1 winter) so we don't fret over the water parks on the winter trip. We just pick 1 day on the summer trip to go to 1 of water parks on the DVC discount...but this time we have strategically planned 3 trips (2 summer & 1 winter) so we could really take advantage of the water parks if we had the PAP for a change. When we go & pay out-of-pocket we also feel like we have to go at opening and we feel obligated to stay at least 8 hours and we have to pray the summer storms hold off. It would be nice to not have to feel like if we got stormed out or something that we were screwed out of our money. Oh, and then there's the DQ option - we never go there either (we went ONCE on our 1st year with DVC) and that might be fun to try again too.

If the DVC is just in my name, can I get the ticket deals for my DH and kids too? Or just me?

Any immediate family living at your address can get the discounted AP - their ID will have to show the same address as yours. There's only been one ticket deal and when they had that DVC members could get it for other people outside of their immediate family.
