Part 2 -
Okay lets have a real life update. First of all our place has been on the market for a while now and we finally have a buyer. They need to get board approval but hopefully that will go through and then we are sold. We are now waiting on their appraisal. Time will tell and I have my doubts.
Originally we were going out to Long Island but after this winter we have decided to move to Florida. This is great for a number of reason.
Time will tell if it will happen. I really do hope it does and will be so happy even if I don’t work for Disney as I can visit it whenever I want to.
Now for the trip part.
We have bought our airline tickets and are flying from JFK
We leave early morning on.
I am so excited to fly them as I have heard so many good things about the airline. It was actually cheaper than flying Jetblue which surprised me.
They have mood lighting. LOL. it looks pretty.
We are flying into San Francisco Airport.
Once we get into San Francisco we will be renting a car. They say a full size is a Ford Fusion. I don’t see it but okay.
I got us rooms in a motor lodge located in the Redwoods. It has old decor and such but it looks cute. It gets good reviews so hopefully it will be fine.
Here is the outside of it.
No tv or phones should be interesting but they do have free wi-fi. LOL.

Once we check in we will probably go get something to eat and just relax for the night.
The next day really starts our adventure and let the fun begin.
Up next,

YAY for a real life update. Well done and congrats on the sale! Here's to moving to FLorida.

Day 7.4
After seeing the Duomo we were moved along down the road. We saw this little thing along the way.
A cross or a weather vane?
Some of our group walking along.
Anyone thirsty? LOL.
YIKES! Poor suckers in that long line.
Turns out we are going to be some of them. This was the line for groups to get in.
Now for the photos. Less talking more seeing. LOL
Not too crowded.
This was the part that annoyed me. I make sure my flash is always off because they tell you no flash. Twice a flash went off while I was in here and twice one of the workers came up to me and said no flash. The first time I nicely said it was off. Well the second time she did it I put my camera up in front of her and said “you see this (pointing to the flash pop up) this is down which means it is not on.” Then I popped it open and said now it is open so it is on. It wasn’t me. It annoyed me to no end but I went along and took more photos.

Then we saw the main attraction in the distance.
I zoomed in but will get a pic closer.
These were along the walls heading to David.
Still only half way there. LOL.
The ceiling above David.
Then I was next to the statue.
Hallway next to the statue.
Then the backside of David. I believe the tour guide told me to take it but I was already on my way to. LOL.
Then we were off again.
Then we exited and used the restrooms and waited for the rest of the group.

Great pictures of David. WOW! That sure is a lot of people visiting. I wonder if it was less crowded early in the morning?

I am sure it is less crowded before the groups all get there. It really wasn't bad once we got inside. It was so annoying. If I was doing it that is one thing but don't assume because I have a big camera and others had little point and shoots that it was me.

Day 7.5
Once we were all done we went outside and waited. Here are the crowds.
The vendors there are so annoying. They have their paintings and photos on the ground and if you get near them they yell at you. Seriously then lean them against the wall if you are so worried.
Here was our guide we were following.

The great thing here was they brought us up a flight or two into a large room to eat.
Wine anyone?
The stairs we had to climb.
So we had bread I think. Wine, salad maybe and then 2 pastas.
Needless to say hardly anyone likes pesto so I think I had 3 or 4 servings of it. LOL. I love it.
This was dessert and I cannot remember what it was.
After eating we were then to meet up with a new guide for the afternoon part of the tour. He gets me very annoyed later but I will show you why. It was back onto a bus for us. It was the same location as before.
Pretty hillside.
Really narrow street.
We were heading up.
Beautiful view.
See the bottle on the ledge. People come here and drink and ….
Another gorgeous view.
Then we made it to the top to a little town and this is when I got annoyed the first time.
Then we were heading down and that annoyed me. I would have loved to have gotten out and toured the town a little. The guide said in the past the tourists complained that it was boring so they decided to cut it from the tour.
Coming up next,
Down the hill and we go on foot.

I love you pics from Italy. That artwork is just fabulous! And David - OMG - I heard he is absolutely spectacular in person. Another DISers DH posted a ton of pictures of him and she swears it does him no justice at all.
I would have been seriously irritated by the whole flash episode thing. I can't stand that.

The exterior building shots that you got were so detailed and beautiful. Boy was that museum crowded! Nice David shots!
Why really even take you up there if you can't look around a bit. I mean the view was nice, but exploring is half the fun.

Now we were walking and our guide took us to an area called, Piazza della Signoria. I think. It looked right when I looked it up. Also Piazza Vecchio was mentioned.
Now lets head to that area.
The guy on the left with gray hair and sunglasses was our guide. I still liked him now. LOL.
The we looked around.
Then I moved away from the church and took photos of the fountain.
Then we moved along to see something else.
We were there. He did tell us about it but I honestly forget what he said.
