The walking dead amc #2

I want to know the teen girls story, she seems very cautious, like she knows something. I thought it was funny how they all snuck out. I think the group has been "out there" too long and they can't really be "domesticated." I loved Daryl. He was swinging the possum while he was being interviewed! Then when the head lady said, "I'm still trying to figure Mr. Dixon out." I thought it was funny.

My guess is that the head lady, Deanna, is good. She wants to make Alexandria work, making it a community, everyone having a job etc. I think there has to be a resistance building, maybe headed by her son, who is against what she is doing i.e. taking in people from the outside.

Loved when Glenn ducked to avoid the punch then smacked him in the face!

Well everyone's thoughts on this episode??? Thoughts on what happened to the gun? Oh and I love Daryl and his presence

Another forum I frequent is guessing the gun was taken by that teen girl that Carl followed outside of the compound. She evidently sneaks out and snoops around, and there's clearly going to be more to her. My intial instinct was Aaron. In the previews for next weeks episode, Darryl was yelling at someone about them following him - was it Aaron?

Anyone else think the scene with Jessie (the blonde woman) was some foreshadowing for a potential future romance with Rick? We obviously met her husband, but the way both were introduced leads me to believe there will be more there. The girl playing the Jessie character used to be on AHS and True Blood, so she's not some random extra that was cast. Her background, to me, means she'll be a substantial character.

Well the husband definitely seems like bad news and I didn't remember her mentioning him to Rick.

FINALLY an episode I liked! Mostly because I got to see Rick shaved and shirtless, but also because there were some great, light moments in there. Daryl being like, "I brought dinner" and telling Carol "You look ridiculous"... love! And I loved Carol's interview-- can't wait until she surprises them, because YOU KNOW SHE WILL. And then Maggie's face when Deanna thanked Glenn for punching that jerk. And Carl's going to have a girlfriend!!!

I know it's obviously going to go bad, but I really loved the lighter moments. I've been kind of dying to see them getting drunk and having fun or whatever like they did that one night at the CDC.

This was my first thought as well. I figured she was out there when the group got to town and saw Rick hide the gun.

I loved Carol and Daryl in this episode, LOL. Both of them were too funny. When Carol was talking about missing her husband I was confused and then had an Ohhhhh moment ;) We were saying the same thing about Daryl...take a shower already dude! :rotfl:

The girl was seen in the very beginning of the episode in a house outside of the gates. Right away my dh said who is that kid in that house.

Dh thinks the blonde lady and her husband do not have a good relationship...either separated or unhappily together based on the attitude of the husband when he was on the porch.

**COMIC BOOK INFO AHEAD**

Your DH has a good intuition, because in the comic books (if they follow it), Pete is abusive to Jessie. I wonder if they will go this route though, considering they already had the abusive Ed/Carol situation. Although, I could see Carol taking Jessie under wing if they do. Another interesting comic tidbit is that Deanna is actually a male named Douglas in the comics. I wonder how her role will differ, if at all, with the gender swap. Opens up some new opportunites for the TV show.

I can't wait to tell him that. I normally will try to look up some comic spoilers after the episode and see if our predictions are likely. I did get the feeling right away that girl was going to be rick's love interest so I think it is likely.

Any else think there's sexual tension with Michonne and Rick? Lots of talk about that on some other forums today after a few scenes from them last night. Maybe a Michonne-Rick-Jessie love triangle in the works? I could also see Darryl getting more pissed off if that ensued, because it seems like he's already disagreeing with Rick softening up and wanting to stay.

Also, I've been reading some theories that the girl Carl was following was a "plant" from another group. She's on the inside, scoping things out and then reporting back to her group watching from afar.

Also

I did have a moment where it crossed my mind when they were talking late at night alone, but not 100% sure it will be. It doesn't feel completely right. Like they are more brother/sister like daryl and carol. Or that is how I view them anyway.

I can't see Michonne and Rick as a couple. It seems like they are more friends than lovers. I also see them as more brother/sister type than romantic interests. They respect each other and totally have each others backs, but I can't see it going further than that. Now, the blond who cut his hair, I can see them together. As someone else said, I think she may be a more permanent character. Something will go down with her DH I think. I feel there is a group within Alexandria that does not want insiders coming in, and I think the blonds hubby is one of them, hence his being kind of rude to Rick.

I wonder what will happen with Daryl. He does not seem to want to "fit in" like the rest of them. He is kind of a rebel and I can't see him taking on a job and being a contributing member of the community. I wonder if some will want him kicked out, then Ricks group will have to stick up for him.

I thought this too, that she could be a spy. I thought maybe she was planted there to keep an eye on the Alexandria people in case they started to get out of line. Maybe Deanna doesn't want to be under the "protection" of Negan and wants some muscle of her own to get out from under, IF that's how this is playing out.

I read somewhere that the gun may have even been taken by one of the three men "exiled" from Alexandria. If three guys were kicked out, they wouldn't have gone too far and that house isn't too far away. The gun was missing and all of a sudden there was a walker under the tarp right next to the blender? When there wasn't one there before?? Seems like a BIG coincidence. I also missed that there was a J scratched into the gun, so if a gun shows up later with a J on it, we will know who took it.

Jessie needs to give Daryl a haircut, and I can't wait for Carol to kick some serious butt and surprise the heck out of everyone!

Loved this episode. I am concerned about Daryl. He was an outsider, an outcast with a chip on his shoulder, and very defensive even PRIOR to the apocalypse, I'll bet. So slowly, we got to see him become connected with the group, then Rick showed trust and confidence in Daryl. Daryl became kind of a lieutenant. He felt worthy of their trust (and love?). Now he is in a neighborhood with folks that would never have welcomed him prior to the apocalypse. We can see he is uncomfortable. How will this effect his relationships? Now Rick is the enforcer of rules, the Authority, and will that undermine his connection to Daryl?
Loved Carol's holding her cards close to her vest. Junior League! "I guess I was kind of like their Den Mother, and they protected me" Ha!
I thought the portrayal of our group returning to civilization was perfect. They slept all in one room together not only as a caution, but that is how they are comforted.
Was Jessie sent to Rick? A haircut is a pretty personal thing. He seemed to be reveling in her touch. Is she going to be interested in him? Genuinely, or to keep tabs on him?

I really liked the shoulder badge on Rick’s new jacket that contained the Latin phrase, which when translated means “We will rise again.” Four more episodes this season. All heck is going to break lose (I hope)! I just wonder what the story is behind this Alexandria group????

That girl that ran off into the wood's that Carl followed, what's up with her?

that was the easter egg that was promised to us
(ricks shoulder badge)

FWIW I have been expecting a Rick/Michonne love arc for a while, and still pretty sure we'll eventually get one. The tension is there (though maybe more from Michonne than Rick at the moment).

Did anyone else catch what was written on the back of the comic book in this last episode??? Perhaps some foreshadowing....

The comic said Wolf Fight, which is one of many recent Wolf references in this season. Twice it has been scrawled on walls and a W on the dead bodies.

****Possible Comic Spoilers******

I think they are setting us up to see a rogue group possibly called The Wolves or with something like that in the name. I know Negan is a possible bad guy we will see based on the comics(but don't know much about his role in them), so is it possible this is the group he is part of or one of the other bad groups in the comics(the Whisperers) or the Scavengers which was another bad group in the Comics.
