October 27, 2017... Wonder EBPC!

I have been in contact with the Events Planning office to find out about the different tasting classes being offered during our cruise. She sent me the listing but, of course, things can change. I didn't realize that there were so many to choose from. There are 10 different types of classes that possibly could be available to us. They range in price from $20 to $35 and most have a minimum of 20 people with a few with a minimum of 10.

Obviously, it is way too early to set anything up, but just think about what you would like and perhaps we can get a list started.

That's great! Thank you for getting the ball rolling!

Hey, Everyone. We are at the one-year mark! YAY!!!
I wish I could give your comment more likes! The waiting is making me twitchy and I'm thrilled someone else is counting the days. Also very happy to hear about the classes. I've been trying to talk my husband into taking classes like these through our local community college, but he's always gotten out of it with his busy schedule. Fourteen days of no excuses - poor man.

Yes, there will be no place for him to hide now. What class(es) are you looking forward to taking?

Cooking is my first choice, dancing if they have them. I've also heard about animation classes which could be fun. This is our first Disney Cruise and certainly the longest we've been on, so I'm excited about the possibilities. These thoughts should keep me occupied for a few days!

My DH and I try to catch all of the Animation classes. I can barely write my name and then I try and draw. We have some very interesting works of "art"!. The cooking classes are great, too, especially since you are usually given a glass of wine with whatever they happen to be cooking up that day.

As far as the dance classes go, I usually would have to drag my DH kicking and screaming. So, he is probably relieved in a sense that I can't dance right now. Hopefully, my knee will be up to some of the classes by then.

As we traveled to WDW last year, the Welcome rest stop in Virginia gave out peanut samples!
Will your DSIS and DBIL wish to be in the same group as you, or do they want to be in a different group?
It doesn't matter regarding which group they are in whatever works best.

Came across my "Stitch" from September's cruise. I enjoy the fun!

Had a great day at California Adventure today! The weather was perfect, the lines were short, the costumes were fun, and World of Color was fantastic! This makes it slightly easier to wait for the cruise. Hoping for a fabulous day in Disneyland tomorrow.

Hope your day is as good as you hoped!

We have beautiful weather for our long drive back to Ohio from NJ. We are hoping to sell our Ohio house and move back to NJ within 6-9 months.

That's great! It looks like Stitch. I'm going to have to upload a couple of my sketches.

Hi everyone, your chat about the different classes made me smile, on the Transatlantic a couple of years ago I did a towel folding class which was great. But I got a lot of strange looks from non-Disney people when I told them it was one of the activities we took part in :confused3, don't suppose it sounds much fun if they think it's just about doing laundry:rotfl2:.

Our friends have just booked the cruise also, which will be great, but they can only book late dining, what do you think their chances are of being able to swap to the earlier one, we'd really like to sit together and neither them or us fancy the late sitting. It could be an awkward decision for us if they can't change

Be sure they go on a waitlist for main dining. It may come about as there may be folks who cancel out of the cruise when the pay by date comes. I also do not think there is any harm in calling DCL to verify that they are still on the waitlist.

Also, do not despair if the waitlist does not happen. Be sure you go to the designated area at the designated (by the Navigator as you board) time and try to change in person. It worked for us each time we did not get the main dining time at first. Also, the waitlist has come through for us once.

Yes, make sure to give DCL a call as they may be able to switch them. But, like Bobbi said, just go to the designated area once onboard to make the switch.

Thanks guys; they had phoned DCL to go on the wait list and were told they'd get an email if they were able to swap. Spooky as half an hour after I posted DH got a text from them saying DCL had emailed saying they were good to go onto main dining, it must have been your good vibes bobbiwoz & sunshine1259, Thanks:goodvibes.

Now need to call and get us 'linked'

Great!!! Since the cruise is still so far out, I didn't think that you would having any problems getting main dining. I'm excited that all of the little things work themselves out. Now, if we were going to Castaway Cay, it would be the battle of getting a cabana for those who wanted one. But, I guess we don't have to worry about that. :rolleyes1

Hello, Everyone. Just wanted to share something. A relative of mine was scheduled to go on a cruise overseas yesterday (not Disney). When he went to print his boarding pass the day before his flight out, he was told that he could not fly because his passport expires in 77 days. He tried that day to get to a passport office but was unable to get to one. So, he missed his cruise and lost about $1300. They have rescheduled for later this year.

So, since this is not a closed-looped cruise, passports ARE required. Make sure that your passports expire after April 11, 2018. (I'm guessing that we will need to have at least 6 months on the passports, but it could be sooner.)

But, and this is a big BUT, since we are not flying OUT of the country, we may not need as much time on our passports.

So, guess who needs to check her passport? Yep, I got mine in 2008 shortly after I got married. Going to check when exactly in 2008 that was.

Hope this helps some one out.

Well, it looks like I will be good to sail next year with my current passport; it doesn't expire until August of 2018. But, I will have to make sure to get it done when I come back as we are tentatively scheduled on the WBPC in April 2018.
