I just looked again and Alamo went back up to $332 with all taxes. I must of got it at the right time.

I haven't found anything cheaper than what I booked months ago when Alamo was still accepting the AS1 product code. I have a midsize for Nov 4-12 for $172.73. I guess I should be happy with that.

I was paying $238 for full-size with codes AD3868JST & 7014926.

I was able to get a minivan for just $30 more, $268. It is usually at least $150 more than a full-size if not more.

I figured it was worth the extra room, etc.

We just did the same thing. Switched out a full size for a minivan. The minivan was only about $20 more for us. This will allow us to stop at the grocery store on the way to our resort instead of having to checkin and then head back out. We are staying at Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve.

Hi all, jumping in on the thread hoping for some last minute deals. We currently have Dollar booked in an economy for 11/5 - 11/15 for $249 and Alamo for $279. It kills me because I have a reservation for 11/5-11/12 (our original dates) for only $105 so the additional 3.5 days is $150 more. I considered doing two reservations if I could find it substantially better or booking onsite for those dates but nothing great has come along yet. I prefer to book with Alamo if I can find it a bit cheaper. Although I did find Thrifty has a mid-size SUV for $280 so I'm tempted to get more space for a bit more. It's just three people but we will have three full size pieces of luggage as well.

If you lookup your reservation on Alamo.com, you should see an online checkin button. Use that to "skip the counter". There should also be a link in the email you got from Alamo when you booked, unless you booked through a third party.

I'm doing the happy dance because my total went down $20 without me doing anything! I have no idea how or why, but the confirmation email they sent when I booked it had a total of $172.73 for 8 nights (which is what was on the computer screen when I booked). When I looked up my reservation just now to check in online, the total was $153.66. I printed it out so I can show them if they try to charge the original price. Has anybody else had this happen?

I'm a happy girl! I was paying $150 for Mon-Wed, for a mid-size car, at the Dolphin...Nov 21-23. Just booked a Rav4 (or similar) from Nov 20-25, from MCO, for $180. Used 7014926 and AD3868JST! Thanks all. Now, we shall see what we end up paying for an addtl driver!!!

I know when I did online check-in for ours, it listed the option of an additional driver for $15/day. I'm sure there's probably tax added to it too. I didn't think it would be worth it for us to pay that much for 9 days. Last time we rented a car was from National, and the extra driver was free.

Originally we were going to use ME and then rent from the Car Care Center, getting a full size @ $270. Now, for $35 more, we have the flexibility in getting to and from the airport pretty quickly.

sure, no quotes actually it was a rent it now option where I prepaid. about $40 less than the pay later option. no codes worked
