ParkSavers...My Experience

Bringing this thread back up... I'm sure I've overlooked some posts here, but how many people have actually USED ParkSavers tickets? Most of the posts seem to cover buying the tickets and linking them to MDE and making FPs - but who has actually been to the parks and used them?

I know they're 100% legit, I understand the explanation in the OP about the "redemption date" thing. I'm just still a little bit on the fence over going with ParkSavers.

I had purchased one for my niece and we used it the first week of September with no problems. I used my name where it asks for who will be picking it up, or whatever, but linked it in MDE to my niece so that does not even matter.

just purchased 2 ad 7 day 1 ch 7 day hoppers.. undercover tourists suggested it..saves $200 over disn SO they said..got imm email..now waiting.. wanna add to MDE for FP.

FYI..they just emailed me and said to just use 1 name for the tickets, not the 3 indiv names i entered.. its easier to pick up and add to magic band or MDE

So if I buy these I can link them to my room only reservation and make my FP 60 days out or do I have to wait for 30 day mark? What happens to my tickets if i cancel the reservation once it's linked?

Can the 7 day be upgraded to a 10 day PH?

TIA!!!

All your questions are answered within this thread:

Yes. Any ticket can be linked to your MDE account.

If you Cancel an onsite reservation, your tickets remain in your account.

Yes, it can be upgraded at Guest Relations.

I've seen a few post about Parksavers. I've looked on their web site and it seems confusing to me. Tickets are only good for a few months? Is tax and shipping included? You need to give information before you find out the price? Are the tickets assigned by Parksavers? What if that person decides not to go?

Thank you for any information.

Merged you to the Park Savers thread where the 1st post explains the date. These tickets do not expire and Expedia just needs a date to process the purchase.

Thank you for doing this. I've seen comments here and there about people using the tickets, but didn't know of this thread.

I brought 4 7 day Adult Hopper tickets. I used them last July, NO ISSUES at all :) I also upgraded 2 of them to APs and again, ZERO issues!

To add to the anecdotal information about merchant category codes, I bought our tickets with my Citibank Costco "Anywhere Visa" and the transaction was coded as "Other Travel TRAVEL AGENCY AND TOUR OPERATORS", so it should be eligible for the 3% cashback.

I will add my thumbs up for Park Savers. Bought 4 tix and saved a bunch, have my tickets and they are linked to MDE. Made my first FP ressie this morning!

Ok. I have read thru most of this thread, but have a question.

I purchased this park saver ticket for my mother. When I received the mde code, I had no trouble linking it to her profile in my mde account.

But, it is not showing as being able to be reassigned in mde. It is attached to her only. It looks just like my partially used non-expire tickets do in mde. Not able to be reassigned.

Since this park savers ticket has not been used, should it be transferable? Should I call Disney ticketing and inquire about why it is not? Thanks!

If you go to the Tickets and Passes area of your MDE account (My Reservations), you'll be able to reassign it from there. If using the app, tap on the Ticket and the Reassign button will appear.

Already tried that. The park savers ticket is not showing as being reassignable. It shows up in mde as already assigned. Just like my partially used non expiration tickets do. My unused non expire tickets are reassignable. The park savers ticket is not. And it has not been used - our next trip isn't until December.

Maybe I need to call Disney ticketing and see what is up!!

Edited - I figured it out :). My mother is managed by my sister in her mde account. So she would see the reassign button next to her ticket, not me!!

:) Glad you figured it out and didn't need to call!

Did they give you the current selling price value of the tickets? (rather than the discounted amount)

Disney doesn't know what the GUEST paid for the tickets.
Disney only knows what the DISCOUNTER paid for the tickets.

That's why Disney will price-bridge the discounted tickets up to current Disney prices.

Has anyone consistently been watching the prices on these lately? I know for a long time the 7 day adult PH tickets were (I think) $394.46. I looked just now and they are showing as $419. We were planning to buy tonight, does anyone know if this is just the new price or if it may go back down? So bummed right now, as we have 8 people going so that is a significant price difference. Did WDW's ticket prices go up?

WDW's ticket price to the public hasn't gone up. However what they are charging ticket resellers like ParkSavers/Expedia could have. The 7 days for the price of 4 at $394.46 lasted for at least a few months but it was a promotion. They obviously could launch it again but I doubt anyone here knows for sure.
