Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

No doubt about that! We were supposed to be staying in a 2-room villa at Kidani Village but had to downgrade to AoA just to keep trip hopes alive. We're still getting to go for a long trip which we all wanted more than we wanted to stay at a deluxe, but we're going to have to bring 2 camping mattresses for the little kids to sleep on because my kids don't share beds well and, again, it's a long trip to try to put up with that.

My kids would love that! they love our trips where they share an air mattress. Kids are weird :)

If i could get my DH to be on board for EMM I would totally book it and not look back. I mean, not many people can say they attended something like that at Disney in their lifetimes!
You make a valid point. Since I'm leaving DH at the hotel thats not my obstacle. I do think that at 3 almost 4 it would be magical but forgettable for her. No guarantee that they will have it on our next visit... Decisions decisions..

For those doing Jedi Training the latest reports are that they are giving out anytime FP when you sign up. This is nice because we don't have FP planned for that morning but still want to do TSMM.

I can't seem to link to it but there's a Jedi Training post under Theme Park Attractions and Strategies talking about it.

No way!! That's awesome!!

I just let go of a BoG 11/29 at 835p for party of 3. Party night. Sorry had to let go to get something else.

Does anyone here know which way people line up for CP in Epcot? Does the line stretch toward Italy or Japan or both?

There's actually two lines. If memory serves me correct one side is for dining package and one side is standby line. People were lined up around 1p last year when nph was there.

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out which direction we'll go as we tour WS on Monday the 28th when NPH will be doing CP that evening. Sounds like we'll do best to just avoid Japan, America, and Italy altogether if possible. We can hit those on our other days. :)

Yikes! The 11/30 NPH day is our world showcase afternoon...can't decide if that crazy line will make things MORE or LESS crowded in the WS that day :scared:

@Meeko5 The line is pushed up behind a rope. I didn't think that the crowds were in the way but we did not go by there again until after CP. We go on 11/29. If you think about it drop a message letting everyone know what you thought about the show. We skipped it last year bc I didn't have a great dining option paired with CP time. Last year your CP time was based off your ADR time. We are doing Trattoria al Frono bfast and 645p show. Perfect for us. I just snagged a 750p Garden Grill. Hoping that the timing is perfect. Fingers crossed. Have fun!!

I wish there were more success stories using prime now delivery to resorts. That would be nice instead of a big grocery delivery...I need to lock down the stroller rental details (using kingdom, just want DH to look over the options and help decide which one) and then figure out groceries. We definitely will need juice, milk, yogurt, fruit, breakfast items, and energy drinks for my non coffee drinking DH!

We'll be at the 6:45 NPH show on the 29th too! I'm suuuuper excited. Love him. We have the package w/ a Via Napoli "dinner" at 3:45.

How early do we need to line up if we have the package??

I just can't decide what groceries we might need. I'm thinking we can get by with just bringing a few things with us. We have a lot of ts breakfasts planned, but most aren't until after 10 am or so, so we'll be wishing for something small to eat before we head out. We'll have a microwave, so I've considered some Hormel breakfast things that are shelf-stable. We've tried a couple and they aren't great but they're generally edible. Dh is big on protein in the morning, so I don't think he'd be happy with pop-tarts and pastries. Hard boiled eggs would work well for him, but everything else I can think of would require a good freezer (like frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches). Hmm...

Last year I packed an entire suitcase with snacks and food, plus bowls and spoons and stuff. It was crazy haha.

Seriously though, I wonder if those breakfast sandwiches would keep okay in just a fridge for a week? I mean, really, they're already cooked. Might affect the quality, but the eggs and sausage and cheese ought to be okay, right? Maybe I'll buy a box when we go to the store next time so we can experiment. ;)

I just placed my order with Orlando Grocery but I'm sure I'll be tweaking it. I mostly wanted snacks for the room. We don't usually do big breakfasts but the kids might want dry cereal or yogurt. And DH needs Diet Coke - they don't sell it via IV, so bottles will have to do. And Pop Tarts because we only get them on vacation. Coffee creamer, iced tea for me, water, juice boxes. One box of cookies, one box of crackers.

Last time we got a bunch of snack-type stuff through GG and I felt like we overdid but I can't remember what I ordered. I do know I didn't use enough snack credits and that was with an under-3 so I intend to use so hecking many snack credits this time!

Never mind... I just checked the prices at Garden Grocer. We can grab something from the food court on our way to the bus. I'm sure we'll have extra quick service credits to use, or we can just charge it to the room. I'm sure GG is cheaper, but not enough to make it worth it.

In my experience with them - the muffin part gets hard when you cook them after they've thawed wrong. Like inedible hard. My 7yo loves those things and I maaaay have accidentally put one in the fridge instead of freezer.

I've read people who have made mini quiches and such then froze them and packed in their luggage...if you want to go that route It might not give you food poisoning lol
