Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Star Wars all day tomorrow!! Do you remember way back in the 80s when they had Star Wars cereal? I remember it tasting so good! So random, I know :)

I remember these!!

I loved Star wars!

Is anyone doing something with an elf on the shelf and the trip?

Ours typically appears on Dec 1 although I know lots of people whose elves come the day after thanksgiving. I'm trying to decide how I want to play it. I've been loosely planning to maybe have our elf come either the day before we leave or the morning of the trip and have a note for the kids telling them to have fun on the trip and he'll be waiting here when they get back. I also have been planning to surprise them with their Disney tshirts and some trinkets for the trip so was thinking maybe the elf could bring those.

I love the idea of the elf announcing the trip! :lovestruc

Who has FP day tomorrow? Mine should open on the 27th. Working on then... Sooooo close. :coffee:.
I feel like my park days are pretty solid.
12/4 is my day for FEA. Being fairly far out should be easier, I hope.

I'm feel so relieved once FPs are done.

Don't forget to factor in tips for the TS meals! :)

Last year we bought maybe $120 in souvenirs all week...Ears for each kids, 1 Lightsaber, 1 plush and some random light ups and pins. I expect we won't spend much this trip on souvenirs since we were "just" there.

Oh I forgot tips!!! Thank you! We will be in a group of 10 so they should automatically add 18% right? Our portion would be for 3 people. What would th tip be for dinner do you think?

We took our elf on vacation a couple of times and were so paranoid she would be spot in transit. My DD thought it was amazing that she found her even on vacation. But I think at Disney the kids will already be pretty entertained. Do you have someone watching animals for you? You could have them send a picture of the elf at your house the day e is supposed to arrive.

I'm just now working on my Fastpass list and it is stressing me out. I booked through a TA (she is one of my friends). Anyone else use a TA and are they booking your passes or you? I'm trying my best to keep this a laid back trip but this is making me want to schedule every minute:confused:

My TA said she would do them for me. I kindly told her I'd rather so them myself.
I looking forward to cross the FP day hurdle.

Done with Fastpasses. :cheer2:

Was able to get all the times I wanted for the most part, or at least close to it. Will just need to move a few around when later hours are released. Had no trouble getting FEA on 11/29 for the time I wanted, and there were plenty of times available so far for that day.

Good news! This is the day I need FEA!

I booked through a TA last year and all she did was book and make payments for me haha. she offered to do all the rest but I wanted to do it. She gave me some good advice, reminded me when things were ready to do (like FP, etc) then sent me a gift card and souvenirs for the boys a week before our trip. She was awesome :)

They likely will add the gratuity when they bring the bill - so definitely check it over well. I've read quite a few threads where people didnt realize the tip was on there and they double tipped. I budgeted $20 tip per TS meal going in based on the high end of the meal price ranges.

I believe that they only add a tip in automatically with parties of 6 or more, or if you have the Tables in Wonderland card (18% added). The receipts I have seen in the last couple of years for smaller parties (two trips with 2 and one with 4) have tipping options printed at the bottom (18% and 20% I think) with what the amount would be, but it wasn't automatically added in. You have to select the one you want, or write in a different amount, then total it up. Disney's way of being helpful with the math, I guess...LOL....

That's how our receipts were! It was helpful for my DH who hates figuring out tip amounts haha.

I had breakfast the other day at a restaurant alone. My bill was like $13 something and I gave her a $20 bill to make change. She brought me a $1 bill and a $5 bill for the change...I had to tell her "unless you want more than a $1 tip I'm gonna need you to break that $5 bill for me"

I was a waitress once, I know that trick well lol.

I've been lurking around this thread for a while. My SO and I are heading down on 11/24 for 10 days. We are doing a split stay POFQ and OKW. He has never been to WDW before and this will be our honeymoon.

I can book my FP's in 10 days. I haven't been since 2009, so much has changed and having to actually book the FP in advance is making it tough for me, but I think I have a decent plan.

My SO booked the Sense of Africa tour for me, I am so excited and we are doing the CP package at Rose & Crown on 11/29. I have been going back and forth on whether I want to do the Star Wars Dessert party if the Fireworks are on our DHS night, if not I'm not rearranging my plans.

We are doing a modified monorail crawl,we are doing all the MK area resorts, the SO wants to go over to Fort Wilderness, so we will start there and end up at the California Grill for a late dinner and to see the Christmas Party Fireworks.

So looking forward to this trip.

I know I missed adding you before - but I got you on the roll call.

And also SO jealous of your adult plans. On day we will do a monorail crawl and have a nice dinner past the kids' bedtime. Sounds amazing!
