Souvie Notes
Cozy Cones still have all three Dino Co sipper cups. The Popcorn Cone also has the red McQueen popcorn bucket.

60th Merchandise & Souvies
I haven't seen any of the 60th Anniversary souvie containers (i.e., Mickey Balloon Popcorn buckets, 60th Round buckets, travel mugs, etc.). In terms of 60th merchandise, there is still some at the Showcase Shop on Main Street, but not a lot. They still have the Starbucks mugs (they're even on sale in the Emporium). I haven't seen any of the 60th pins.

Halloween Souvies
Mickey Vampire Popcorn Bucket is pretty readily available throughout both parks, as is the round Halloween Bucket, and travel mug. Zero (now $17) is only available in New Orleans Square. The Poison Apple Mugs are also readily available, served with a variety of things (i.e., fruit, frozen beverage, ice cream, etc.).

Mickey's Halloween Party
It's just a little past 4:00 pm! There is a wristband distribution location in Frontierland (same place as last year). The bags feature Moana on one side and Beauty and the BeaSt on the other.

There are signs out saying the party is sold out. There are also signs saying that Toontown closes at 5:00 pm and that the pre-party is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Thanks for sharing this! Do you know if they have the annual pass treat trail this year?

Thanks for doing this. Is it Oct. 5th yet? Where in Frontiersman is the distribution spot.? Are those spots consistent from from party to party?

Thanks for posting the info!

My eyes aren't the best... What is the thing at the Jedi Temple during the party?

It says:

"Live Entertainment & Activities

Join in the fun at these exciting interactive areas, where you'll find Disney Characters, music, dancing and more!

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
Galactic Grill
7:30, 9:00, 10:05pm"

It looks like there is a treat trail in the area, along with live entertainment.

The Frontierland wristband location is next to the pin shop. I thinks it's the same from party to party.

Enjoyed a really yummy meal at the Blue Bayou. The package viewing area near Carnation! We also got a souvenier lanyards with credential and a large bag of candy!

Update: They are using the original PtN viewings areas. On both sides of Main Street.

I'm SO HAPPY to hear all this especially the package viewing areas. I had a feeling they wound use the original PTN locations since the villains usually meet in town square from what I've seen!! Thanks for all the updates you rock!!

Does that have good viewing for fireworks?

It's a bit further down Main Street than I would prefer. But there was about 30 minutes from when the Parade ended to the start of fireworks which was enough time to find a spot closer to the hub.
What about those who don't have BB reservations? Was it hard for people to snag a group spot for the parade?

It's didn't look as busy as I expected on Main Street. I think it would depend on the size if your group. However there were still pretty good curb spots left in Town Square for the second parade with less than 20 minutes to go.

Another update: the AP Treat Trail is neat the exit to Big Thunder this year. They're giving out a bag and some candy. That's also where the Fantasyland dragon has moved now that his chalet/cave is gone.

Just some other random thoughts/notes about the party (there will be a full trip report with photos after I get home):
  • The second parade didn't seem that busy. There still second row spots available in Town Square after the parade stepped off. Further up Main Street looked busier, but not super crowded.
  • The Horseman stepped onto the route at 10:30 pm and the parade started about 10 minutes later. The schedule had things listed for 10 minutes earlier (10:20 for the Horseman and 10:30 for the parade). The Horseman canters very slowly down the route, so he's very easy to see (which is nice).
  • The Horseman holds his pumpkin in his right hand, so you'll want to be on that side of the route for the best view (so on the Emporium side when the parade is coming from IsSW and the Starbucks side when the parade is coming from Town Square).
  • The parade was still good; it's very different from the Calvalcade. It's much darker (a lot less cute-elements).
  • At least two treat trails featured Peeps (the one by the River and the one in Pixie Hollow). The River's trail had a sign indicating it had Peeps, so that one will probably be consistent (I don't know about the one for Pixie Hollow).
  • The view from the BB preferred viewing area is very good and it's very easy to get up to the hub for fireworks afterwards. While the instructions says to get there at 8:00 pm, I would highly recommend getting there before then. The line stared forming around 7:45-7:50 pm, and they opened the viewing areas a little after 8:00 pm on a first come, first serve basis. The ECV ahead of us was directed to a spot in front of the cinema (they were first in line), while the rest of us were directed to fill in the area in front of the Emporium. The viewing area ended up about 2 to 3 deep.
  • Overall, I felt like this "sold out" party was less busy/crowded than last year's sold out party.
We ended up getting lots of candy...mostly all "good" stuff (no peanut chews this year!).

This was an awesome overview thank you SO much. It's our first party soon and I was debating keeping the BB reservation but now that the area is where we first saw PTN , I think it's worth it and we got the 5:10 reservation so I'm pretty sure it will give us time to do other things.

Our focus is fireworks/villains/characters then and treat trails we may happen into. I don't expect to see EVERYTHING but am hopeful after parade/ fireworks we can easily take in the rest :)
