Official 2016 HHN-26 Thread

I am going to HHN october 2nd.
I need a hotel stay that night.
I was HOPING i could get an AP discount at sapphire falls OR cabana bay.
Does anyone know if there is a thing?
I checked the AP site and the sapphire discounts say they only run until September 30th.
Should i wait a bit and see if there is an october discount offer later in the month or does anyone know of anything im not seeing?
If i cant get a nice discount on sapphire falls i will just spend the $150 for the night at cabana bay i guess.

Any and all help is appreciated.

how are you seeing it like that?
I went in earlier and logged in with my pass.
is it for October 2nd check in and october 3rd check out?

wait wait.. i must have done something wrong before.
you are correct.
thanks so much.

Does anyone know where the locations are to stay in while they close Universal? I wanted to be in one where we could eat some food, but not necessarily Finnegans. Thanks!

Yep, crazy cheap for HHN nights.

FYI RPH is $189+ Includes the FOTL too

I'm hoping more info will come out soon too. It sounds like the area next to the Hello Kitty store is the best location to the prime houses. However, I think I read that there is no AC place to sit and no food, only a bar. I want to know if DA is open as an area and if Leaky Cauldron is open during the "stay" part of stay and scream! Or maybe the Fast-food Blvd restaurants.

I waited in the Hello Kitty area. There is one bar and then the Hello Kitty store. It actually wasn't that bad. We were only in there for about half an hour. There was enough room for people to spread out.

Being in that area, you can hit AHS, Exorcist and then Walking Dead all before any of them get a giant wait. It is worth the half hour wait in the boring stay and scream area.

Finnegans, Hello Kitty area, and Springfield are stay and scream areas this year. I'm not sure about Diagon Alley, but I haven't heard of anyone using it as one. It wouldn't really be helpful since the only house anywhere close to there is Lunatics Playground (all the way on the other side of Bill & Ted).

Rough breakdown:

Hello Kitty: closest to AHS --> exits near Exorcist entry --> Exorcist --> exits to Ghost Town entry

Finnegans: closest to Walking Dead; could also head to Exorcist/Ghost Town 1st (but would likely be beaten to AHS by people from Hello Kitty)

Springfield: closest to Halloween II --> exits near Tomb of the Ancients --> ToA --> exits near Texas Chainsaw Massacre entry. Could probably even go from there to Lunatics Playground and hit that one before much of a crowd builds (haven't tried this approach)

Hmm, I need to know food options. We're doing a RIP tour so house convenience doesn't matter to us but eating sure does!

CRAP!
i didnt even think to check RP.
im torn again.
Im going to have to NOW pick between sapphire and rp lol

City walk is fine for dinner prior to your tour

I was just thinking that we may leave the park and drop off any souvenirs we buy and grab dinner at City Walk instead then. We're only at Universal the one day and spending the entire day in the parks before HHN. (I'm going to need coffee!! lol) If we leave, is there a special entrance for us to get back into? I think I read that there's a separate one? But I'm not sure.

Thanks again, this thread is so helpful. :)

If you are staying on site or have a booked rip tour , there is a designated gate for you to enter
Bring the confirming email for the tour

Usually they ask your name for the tour as they have a list of those doing the tour

Can someone mark and post a HHN 26 map with the stay and scream waiting areas ? I don't have a clue where the landmarks are.

I'm a HHN Hollywood vet. This is my first time to Orlando's since 2009. I'm going Columbus weekend. With my AP, it seems like it would be cheaper to use the frequent fear pass for 2 nights rather than one night with express pass. My plan is to stay and scream both nights. Hello Kitty holding area one night for AHS, EX, GT, then Walking Dead. And just walking around the rest of the night playing by ear. Night 2 do Springfield Stay and Scream and do H2, Ancients, TCM, then Lunatics and play the rest by ear.

Krampus is actually the maze I'm looking forward to the most though. How have lines been? I would like to work it in both nights. Any strategy?
