Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We are arriving for our stay on 9/14/16 early in the day. I am doubtful our room will be ready, so we are going to head to DS for lunch and some walking around. Question: Is there somewhere in the lobby for us to get changed if we want to use SAB before our room is ready? We are planning to pack our bathing suits in our carry-on and leaving that with Bell Services while we explore when we arrive.

TIA!

What a whirlwind of a day yesterday. While checking to see what may have opened up with our pin code, Beach Club club level opened. After doing some very fast discussing we decided to leave the BCV studio and splurge on the club level room. Since we are only going to Epcot for the food and wine for one day and no other parks we thought it would work out perfect. Our stay dates will be Oct 14-19. I also booked the lagoon view/pool view for her 40th birthday. Its going to be a great trip.

There are restrooms in the lobby and restrooms by the pool where you can change

We're 10 days out til BC CL!! I'm so excited. I don't know how I'm going to get thru the next 10 days. I don't want to go to the gym, or shop, or clean, or cook, or pay bills, or deal with the kiddies problems, or poop scoop for dogs (never want to do that), or wash clothes, or do anything! I can't concentrate. All I want to do is PACK then :drive: leave! Anyone feel like this as your Disney date gets closer? Would it be weird if I start packing? Too excited!!:mickeyjum:goofy::dumbo::donald::stitch::figment::ccat::tigger::sulley:
My DD was picking on me about my obsession with Disney the other day. Soooo, I plan on picking her up on her last day school before we leave with my :earsgirl: Mickey ears on! LOL!:cool1:

Um, I am 73 days out, and I've started packing. Is that bad? :rotfl:

Hello everyone. Way behind on the thread trying to spend as much time with DD before she started back at UMD. Miss her already.

Bad news and good news. The bad news is that our wild women Halloween trip is off. One of my wild women had a last minute conflict. The good news is that I had booked two ressie's during F&W hoping to con hubby into going on the second trip and he can't go. So...Dee could you please remove us from the BOG list for Halloween weekend but add us back 10/6-10/11 at the BCV for our second attempt at a wild and crazy weekend!:banana::banana:

Stay safe everyone- with the potential for bad weather heading to Florida!!

For those planning on flying down to MCO over the next few days, Southwest has issued a weather advisory, which allows for a 1X no charge rebooking. Orlando is included in this advisory for several cities in FL.

https://www.southwest.com/html/advisories/swa_travel_advisory_20167311472651927869.html

I noticed in another thread that Disney had allowed a 1x delay in check-in date, due to weather, bending their minimum cancellation notice.

This is a hard one, since you really don't want to leave your car at DS and you really don't want to park at the MK parking lot. I would probably come back to the BC, park the car and then either take the MK bus or take a taxi to the Contemporary to walk to MK. It isn't too bad taking the bus from MK back to the BC at park close.

Thanks WoodNymph and everyone else. We are back in our room already as queues were pretty much non existent at universal. Will get the bus to DS then on to one of the resorts.

For BCV, do you still pick up packages (resort package delivery from the parks) at BC Marketplace? Or somewhere else?

Well, how about if you don't really unpack? I have clothes that I usually only wear on vacation, so I come home, do the laundry, and everything goes right back into the suitcase so I'm about 2/3 packed at all times. Of course, with six weeks vacation every year, I am going somewhere about every six weeks or so anyway, but I just can't see taking up drawer and closet space for clothes I would need to put back in the suitcase anyway. I drive on vacation, so I don't put dirty clothes back in the suitcase. Those come home in trash bags outside of the suitcase so they can go right into the laundry from the car.

I'm getting close to single digits for my trip to YC next month. I haven't stayed there since last December, so I'm really looking forward to it. I did manage to grab an elusive Beaches and Cream ADR (even though it took a while) and I'm having sweet dreams of a No Way Jose! :cloud9:

I hope you got one last cookie. :flower:
Time to start thinking about another trip one of these days in the future.
Of course we did ;-)
We're actually back in 53 days for Halloween and F&W. Sadly not at Yacht Club though.....would loved to have stayed there again, but we're coming from the UK, so the flight is using all our budget. We'll definitely be back one day though

This may be the smartest thing I've ever heard - never unpacking! And keeping all the travel sized toiletries in the suitcase! Thanks for the tip - I'm going to follow suit! :thanks:

And congrats on the 6-weeks of vacation time! Color me jealous!

We keep a hanging toiletry bag packed at all times, just grab and go. We replenish it every time we return from a trip. I don't keep my bag packed, I don't even pack that thing until around 9 pm the night before I leave, but I do keep clothes that are only for vacation in their own separate drawer. Since we never know what time of year we are going somewhere, I can't keep a bag packed because I won't know what kind of clothes I'm going to need.
