OT alert:

I just feel like this thread contains most of my DIS family. I have followed and posted on this thread for going on five years....more so than any other on this forum...and I have learned so much and saved so much! It is due to my family here that I am able to take my kiddos on the most amazing trip. I have saved a ton and I thank each and every one of you who shared tips and helped me save! My dh works for a nonprofit (read: lowpay) and I stay home to homeschool 4 kids. We don't have a lot of extra income but the things I have learned over the years here, and especially in the last year, have made dream vacations possible. So thank you all!!!

We leave on Thursday and are scheduled to arrive at MCO at 6:50pm. For anyone following the weather, you know a tropical storm is also supposed to be crossing FL at the same time. Please keep us in your thoughts (and prayers) that all would be OK with the weather and that we can get in safely. I am not terribly concerned about the rain once we are there but our first couple of days were to be pool days only so that would be a huge bummer. Again, I just want to be able to get there though without too many problems.

Thanks again! I am looking forward to whatever our next savings scenarios look like. They will look different, that is for sure, but we will find a way to save and I am ready to jump in as soon as I get back :)

Pixie Dust and Prayers your way!!

KROGER 4X loadable coupon!!! Mine says Unlimited Use.

Exp 09/04 5 days left!

I thought we might see something for Labor Day! I need to wait until Sept. 1 to purchase, though. I have plenty of points right now and I don't want to "waste" any!

Can you purchase Disney gift cards at Sam's using a credit card?

Our CC is currently giving a bonus on purchases at Sams club and I'd like to use it to our advantage

Anyone ever have problems with racking up a lot of fuel points with Kroger? Just curious if there's an unwritten limit. Thinking of buying $1000 in Disney this weekend now that eBay is more or less out of the picture for me. With my other shopping in September that will put me at 5000 fuel points for the month. I've never gone that high before.

@wendow have the BEST time! You deserve it. I'll pray for safe and manageable weather!

Because of a good deed done by my son on our cruise recently, we had $2,500 in Disney gift cards leftover that we used to pay for a 3 night cruise in January so I'm not churning right now. We don't have any other Disney trips planned until 2018 but I guess with churning nearly dead, we should start soon!

I agree, @wendow, this thread/forum has become like family. You're all very much appreciated!

Thank you, @CalDisneyMomof2 !

I am not sure when our next trip will be after this one. I am thinking 2018 also. We have gone annually for many years (though we left the kids home last year and went for our anniv), and I'm wanting to do something different for 2017. Of course, when I tell my kids that, they will rebel against all other ideas but Disney lol.

Because churning is dead, it is going to be a much slower path to earning and saving so I do feel like I need to start back as soon as we return from this trip. Hope you all have been brainstorming and have some good ideas for when I get back!!!

Following up on what @duffybear32830 posted...

I forgot to mention that Amex has a "Stock Up & Save" offer until 8/31/16 for a 5% statement credit on purchases of $100 or more at Home Depot, as well as another offer until 9/30/16 for a $60 statement credit after you spend $400 or more in one or more transactions in-store at Home Depot. These two offers are stackable, but I've read that the latter offer is highly targeted. It's always worth looking at your Amex offers. My Amex Gold Premier Rewards card received both, and I added both offers to my wife's AU card. We each bought $400 in Disney GCs (Home Depot sells $25 and $50 denominations) to maximize the discount at effectively 20% off. We got email confirmations that we redeemed the two offers almost immediately after leaving checkout.
Checked both my Amexs but neither card had either offer :( Nice savings though! How did you go about adding the offer to the AU if I might ask?

I am currently sitting on 8K fuel points for August, so it's not an issue. I need $2K to pay off my cruise next week, but I usually get $1K at a time. I just have to do it at customer service at the front of the store because the cashiers can't activate more than $250.

I have an old Amex Blue Cash that gives unlimited 5% cash back at grocery and drug stores. So I do this all the time and never bothered with the raise/target deal.

FWIW and OT from Disney gift cards... I tried to order Starbucks a egift card on Target.com today and they are no longer listed. It had been an easy way to score 5% off my caffeine addiction :rolleyes1 as it gave me the discount when I used my RedCard to purchase. Looks like they're cracking down on to more that just gift card for gift card purchases. But just a couple days I got Netflix egift cards using my RedCard and got the 5% off so I know they haven't removed all egift cards from their site.

for amex, each AU has to have their own sign in page.... so sometimes one card will get the offer, another won't. This is a good deal BTW, I got it myself last month

Or, if there is a twitter code associated with the offer, the AU can tweet the offer code in order for it to work on his/her card. You have to sync the AU's Amex card to his/her twitter account first. I had a hard time wrapping my head around this initially for some reason, but I sure do love being able to use the good offers multiple times!

Like @hsmamato2 already posted, each AU has a different card number from the member's card, so each AU can create their own Amex account and receive offers on their AU card. My wife's AU card mostly gets the same offers my card gets so we get to double up on saving and redeeming those offers, but sometimes hers gets better (more useful) offers so we'll plan around having her use her card for those.
