How about this?:
Use Southwest cc Ebay w/ Ebucks 10% for Walgreens gcs $816. SWRR portal+cc=1200 pts+$80 Bucks.
Buy 2 $400 PPmyCash? at Walgreens=$808
Buy $800 Disney gcs at Target 5% off=$40. Pay Target cc w/ PPs.

I have my Paypal Debit Business Mastercard tied to my old Target Redbird Debit. I've bought PPmyCash's before and transfered some to my Target debit to bill pay and used my PPBDMC to pay Target cc bill but I know I'm playing w/ fire.

What about Chase Ink cc 5% back on PPDGS. I can't get one. Chase has cut me off because of the 5/24 rule.

@PerfessorZ :rotfl2::thumbsup2:rotfl: oh yeah...churning in pajamas...... anyway.... the ONE main constant running through this thread from day one? YMMV, be careful it can end at any moment, just like that. It has happened. Just be careful folks, the avenues left are small, and chancy. Paypal has a LONG history and rep. for shutting people down for even the slightest hint of 'messing around' with gc's,payments, etc. Just google it, you will see-and when PP takes a dislike to you, as noted before it can be up to 6 MONTHS with frozen funds...including any bank accts associated with your acct. It's a real chance to play with them, much higher than the previous worries of being stuck with xxx.xx gc's for any given company. Also I would assume that if you use the buy at target/ebay and retrun to exit strategy, sooner rather than later is what's required,as it won't take target long to figure out what's happening with their ebay sales/returns and stop it. Personaly I prefer less hassle/risk in my life ( I have too much else to think about) so a 5-10% discount at a warehouse on gc's is enough for me right now. Still a highly interesting thread here tho....

Does anyone know if you can use PayPal to pay your Target RedCard?

Also, I'm with y'all- why would PayPal sell gift cards and then not let you use them??? That is just crazy...

It doesn't look like you can. On the Target RED card site, they only allow you to link your account to a bank account.
On the Paypal website, it says:

  • Link your debit or credit card to your PayPal account
You can link your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card to your PayPal account and use it to send money or pay for things.

Quick question for those of you who have purchased walmart gift cards and used them at Sam's to buy Disney gc. Has anyone used the paper vouchers in the store? Didn't know if sam's would accept them or can you only order online with gift cards? Thanks for any input.

Wow! It's been quite the change in events here. So sad! Hopefully people stuck with EBay giftcards find the best out. Seems like a lot of options floating around. I've been out of the EBay game since being limited by Paypal. I would be very hesistant to try the PP gc. I was lucky to not have money tied up with them when I was limited, i can't imagine if I had money in there that would be frustrating!!!

The only line in this that might work is the middle one, unless I am misunderstanding you.
Line 1 - Ebay will not allow you to purchase any gcs with an ebay gift card.
Line 3 - Target doesn't allow you to pay their RED card with Paypal.

Now, you can use your ebay gift cards to pay for other things that you were planning to buy out of pocket, and use the cash to pay for your gift cards. But I would't for over $400 at a time.

I've used e-cards at Sam's before that were on my phone. I was at the self-checkout and just scanned the barcode and the amount of the GC came off of my total. I can imagine it would be the same with a paper card. I wasn't purchasing a GC though.

No Ebay gc used in my scenerio. Paypal (business)debit cards are free and offer 1% up to $1000/month. Can be used w/ PPmyCash. Both linked to PP acct. I have paid my Target cc with my PPBDMC.
I don't know what kind of PPs Walgreens sells though.

I have printed the paper vouchers out from Swagbucks and Perk and used them in-store for Disney cards with no problem.

Thank you - you answered my next question. I was trying to figure out how to add a PP gift card to my account, and using the Paypal-Cash website is the missing link. According to their site, you should be able to get PPMyCash cards at WG. https://www.paypal-cash.com/where_to_buy.html

Problems I see with a Paypal gift card (besides the ones already mentioned):
1 - there is an activation fee. If you are already paying for shipping to buy cards for the store where you buy these, that could negate any rebates you receive. You need to load enough money on the PP card to make a $3.95 fee worth it.
2 - once you use this card, it is in their system. You can reuse it, but then there is a running record. Of course, you could get a different card each time, and they will have a record of you having several cards.
3 - whether you reuse a card or buy separate ones each time you need one, there is another activation fee.
4 - This one is from their site FAQ's:
"PayPal My Cash Card allows you to use the fund immediately after reloading your prepaid card. However, some retailers require a brief waiting period before your funds are available.
Check your preferred retailer for details."

5- And the last one is the biggie. On their FAQ page, If your card is not accepted for some reason, they have you call their customer service line.

I'm going to rethink this.

Ive spent half the morning looking at PayPal info and thought as I posted earlier this is fire. Ppl use PayPal to launder money specifically through these cards - whether it's for cash, cc points, GCs, it's all considered fraud/laundering. In addition to hearing a first hand account, I would be beyond wary. Also, there's several reports that once you load the cash, bc you may have already been flagged at any point (i.e. PPDG verification!), it doesn't even let you load the card to PP account without verification loops and producing ID etc.

What's truly crappy on this scheme, is if you get blocked, your actual funds are frozen (including any that you carry in your PP for other purposes) - it's not like an eBay gc or GS gc or Target u could still technically use maybe just for other items than what u planned. As a Previous poster noted your accounts get tied to this too. PayPal bans are much more involved than messing with your eBay bucks. It's the most YMMV I've read so far.

Hey y'all,

Just got back from Disney last night...can't believe what has happened while I was away! I would not be surprised if these companies have people monitoring this thread.

For the people stuck with Ebay Gcs, Try buying Disney tickets. I have purchased Disney tickets multiple times from ebay and have not had a problem. Make sure seller has good feedback and as always YMMV.

Yeah, I think I'll steer clear of the PayPal gift cards. The risk just isn't worth it to me. Last night I ended up using my $300 ebay gift card to purchase a $299.99 item from Target's ebay store that I plan to return in store. I didn't see any point in waiting for a promo since it's likely any ebucks will be clawed back by ebay. I was also concerned about Target changing their return policy. I definitely don't plan to make a habit of this. I just want to use up my last remaining ebay gc. I would prefer to get cash so I can purchase a Disney gift card at the grocery store with my AmEx BCP card for 6% cash back plus fuel rewards and then use the cash to pay the cc bill. But I'll also take a Target GC. Worst case it goes back to the ebay gc at which point I'll have to use it for everyday household items.

For anyone that is stuck with ebay gift cards - I had $700 worth yesterday. I went on the Best Buy ebay store and purchased a camera for $550 at one Best Buy and a vacuum for $150 at another - both for in store pickup. I had to split my purchases because some of my cards were attached to DHs ebay/paypal account. I exchanged both for disney gift cards with no issues. I really didn't want to go this route because it seemed shady to me, but Best Buy didn't blink an eye. I'd never encourage anyone to churn like this, but if you need an exit from ebay, it's an option that worked in my area.

How are you able to choose in store pick up, and can you do so for all items? I didn't see in store pick up on the item page in ebay when I was just checking it out. Also, can I ask if you did a large or small purchase? I'm thinking I'd want to do just one larger purchase, such as a laptop, but I'm wondering if that'll be okay. I'd like to do one bigger purchase on my account so it's just one exchange. You had to do an exchange right, as the return would have been back to ebay gc? Still works for me, right to Disney gc!
Then I'd probably do one at Target, and then have DD26 do one at Target as well, to get out of these ebay gc's. Have yet to find the target storefront on ebay, though.

I can't do anything yet, as I'm still shut down till after this weekend! Then we'll have $1000 available in my DD26's account, and then I'll finally have a $2000 for my account on, between Sep 13th and 19th! Ugh, all this waiting!
Definitely need the good luck, this is worse than converting those GS gc's, and more $$$, lol! Hope everyone is able to

In store pick up is only for a select number of items. You'll have to scroll through and click through everything and it'll offer it if it's available.

The first item I bought was a $300 IIRC pair of headphones in which they didn't even blink an eye. The second time I tried it was for a $150 camera lens that I bought for my girlfriend with a eBay coupon I recieved which wasn't good for gift cards (for selling a couple things). She ended up buying the same lens, so I ended up exchanging it towards our Disney fund.

When you head to the CS desk, you just ask if you could exchange the item for funds on the gift card. It's really easy. The first time I did it was during pick up (I was just plain lazy) and the second time I went back with the pick up receipt they give you. It's literally on a piece of printer paper.

It's a great way to get out, but I definitely wouldn't churn this way. It's easy to become "that person" doing this same thing repeatedly over and over.

I'm planning on waiting for the next decent promo after 9/4 (already over the 2k limit) and doing it one last time with my remaining $180 in eBay cards I have. The eBay game is done for me...

...only if you're looking to pay OOP.

Also fine print on the 4% eBay Bucks now says no gift cards. eBay is apparently finished with churning.
