Disney Crossy Road App is Live!

Has anyone ever had a daily mission that they weren't able to complete? Not one that counts towards an unlockable character, but one that rewards a gift?

I had a mission where I had to hop on X number of logs with Horn Player...only thing is that there are no logs to hop on in the Haunted Mansion level. Kind of weird, right?

I've had it say weird things too, the turbo one is one. But I leave and close the app and it reboots the tasks to new ones.

Anyone ever play as the designer characters, which can be found in the credits? Nice change of pace...

Yep, and I find it interesting that Hipster Whale & Mighty Games employees are much more unique characters as opposed to the Disney employees. I'm sure that has to do with branding and such.

Oddly enough Hipster Whale is not an option for a character. I believe that character is in the original Crossy Road game...no?

Yeah he is. If you find him floating with logs and hop on him, he unlocks as playable.

I hate you people for posting about this game. Been playing since yesterday.

Well at least I posted how to get a lot of the characters earlier in the post so you can't hate me. I helped. And if you still hate me, oh well I will survive to play Crossy road another day.

Been playing for a week and not really sure I understand the game. To be honest, I don't remember reading your tips, but I think now that I know you've posted I will go back and try and understand from what little experience I have.

Is there anyway to actually complete a board? Do you ever get to the other side?

Nope...the point of the game is to unlock the character, which you do by collecting coins to use on the machine. You can also unlock secret characters by unlocking a set of characters or using a character to perform a task (e.g. picking up cupcakes with Hook Hand).

The boards are endless.

I don't know how old you are but for me it combines my love of Disney with my love of frogger. I loved going to the arcade as a kid to play frogger. The point is just to cross the river. But in this there is no end just see how far you can go, and to unlock the different characters. Some characters you find (Mortimer) some characters you earn by completing a set. Some you get by playing daily challenges, some you get by eating or collecting items.

I'm 38, so I remember playing Frogger on my Atari :P

The fact that I can never actually "complete" a board is messing with my head a little. I feel like I never accomplish anything.

I get what you mean. That's what I like about the daily missions though. It gives me three tasks to accomplish every day. Plus seeing all the characters that you've unlocked is pretty satisfying.

Until you've unlocked everything except the daily mission characters and are now waiting....slowly....to unlock....the rest (or an app update to include more).

That's why I agree the daily missions keep the never ending levels less never ending if you have a goal. I do however hum the haunted mansion and wreck it Ralph themes though. Reminds me of DL and the ride and paint the night.

There is a new Pirates of the Caribbean update. I used a bunch of my accumulated coins to unlock all of the characters accessible from prize machines.

Yup I did the same thing. Then did all the extra find or earn them characters. The only character I can't find is the helicopter pilot in inside out.

It took him forever to show up when I did it! But I finally got him and am back in waiting mode.
