Is paint the night coming to WDW for the 45th?

This is me connecting some dots, but I think everything is lined up for paint the night to replace electric light parade on oct 1st. I also have no contacts or insider information, this is just me looking over dates and trying to figure out what's going on for the 45th for MK which is oct 1, 2016.

What I see happening:
1: Paint the night was for the disneyland 60th and the anniversary is ending on Sept. 5 (however I see no mention if the parade is ending).
2: It was recently announced that fireworks forever, that heavily uses the projection system also ends on sept 5.
3: There is a hell of a lot of facade work going on (and has been) around magic kingdom along the parade route. Are they getting the buildings ready for projections?
4: there is more than enough time to move paint the night to florida between sept 6 and oct 1.
5: paint the night didn't start in disneyland and they got their own, this might be a new one being made for WDW as well.

I personally think that disney is getting ready to bring paint the night to magic kingdom and send electric light parade back to it's home in disneyland.

I really hope this is what is happening, I like the electric light parade but WDW has borrowed it long enough and look forward to some more things coming to WDW :) Especially this one..

If it does happen, I suspect we might see a new fireworks show as well using the projectors.

There have been some weak rumors but I just don't see it happening. The parade is barely a year old at Disneyland and people there love it. Disneyland fans have way more say then WDW fans.

We also won't be seeing a new fireworks show for the 45th. For the 50th very likely though.

Where as PTN may have enough time to move cross country to WDW during that time frame, it sure isn't enough to time to train cast and test the new parade.

I kind of hope WDW does do something big for the 50th just so they prove you wrong but I'm not that confident yet.

Considering that they have barely bothered to have the kids in China print tshirts and pins since 1997?

...you shouldn't be confident ;)

I am cautiously optimistic they will do something for the 50th like a new parade or fireworks show. I don't think they'll go as far as they do for disneyland but the 50th is a huge milestone they have to do something. They do even have merchandise for the 45th even if its not that great they still have a good amount of it.

What is "cause it's really cheap and suckers buy it?", Alex

I really hope that Disney World does something big for the 50th, but I'm currently in the uncertain group. It's definitely got less of a local following than Anaheim, so these "milestones" aren't really as prominent over here. Maybe just some new shows.

So this unfounded obsession over anniversaries is gonna continue, huh?

actually it has very little to do with the anniversary although I realize my post does make it sound that way.. something is going on, there's too many little changes appearing and these discounts really make it look like disney might be at an all time low for advance reservations... I didn't put this in the post but if it's really low, something like paint the night might be able to offset the osbourne lights not being around...

And if they can time it for the 45th, why not?

I think forecasts are insanely low...just had a tingle in my spider sense.

Amazing discounts available on the high end of the rack and airlines are crying about depressed fares. Only depressed numbers cause that.

But the "45th" starts in exactly 85 days...

...they just now (8 minutes ago) finished the rapunzel bathrooms in Magic kingdom started in 2011

While I wouldn't expect much for the 45th, there are some HUGE plans for the 50th I'm already hearing rumblings about that sound amazing! Nothing concrete enough to talk about yet, but stay tuned!

I would be thrilled beyond words to have PTN move to Florida. The only other argument (that hasn't yet been made) against it happening is the MK crowd issue. Disney has worked really hard to add all these night time offerings (well eventual, maybe, if-it-ever-works night time offerings at AK) at the other parks. But adding a super splashy new parade to MK would almost defeat the purpose of the new DHS and AK night time shows. Especially come party season when there are only three nights a week to see the regular MK night time entertainment.

But, the flip side to that is that PTN would only have to run three nights a week for the first couple of months, so it would be plenty of time to train additional cast/work out the kinks.

I'm holding out hope that it happens, but I'm realistic enough to know it probably won't.

I kinda agree that MK really doesn't need a "draw" to keep guest in the park at night, and that PNT would work against their attempts to pull more guest to AK and HS.

If anything it's Epot that needs.... something to keep it from being just a dining and shopping experience.

But as a WDW Fan I'd love to see PTN in the MK...

If the Electrical Parade where leaving shortly why would they offer the new dining package for viewing? PTN is one of the best parades ever at Disney. I am tired of both parks having the same things. Leave PTN at Disneyland and come up with an original concept for Magic Kingdom. If you want us to keep visiting both parks we need different options that keep us going to both. As someone who goes to Disneyland often, the Magic Kingdom is my least favorite park because most of the offerings I get to go to frequently.

The dining package could be a test.
