Zaccaglin,
Do you know the schedule for the last 2 weeks in July starting the 22nd?

I know this is too early but I am hoping to get the schedule for the 1st week of August. Thanks

The express monorail is direct service from the Transportation and Ticket Center (MK day guest parking lot) to the Magic Kingdom, it doesn't stop at any resorts. At the GF you would be boarding the Resort Monorail, MK is the first stop from the GF and the GF would be the forth stop from MK (big circle). The weekly monorail schedule is posted on the WDW times guide, not the park specific ones. Times guides are available at the front desk, in your in room packet, and from OTPN website. There is no extended schedule available online for guest access. If you have your dates I can post the times for you.

No the busses only replace the exact Monorial route. So for Epcot the bus would run from TTC to Epcot. If the resort rail isn't running then either, then you would take a bus from CR to the TTC, then another bus from the TTC to Epcot.
When we stayed at GF 2 yrs ago, (and closures still going on ugh) we had a direct bus from GF to Epcot in the morning for rope drop.

Current process is to no longer run it that way. It takes less drivers (staffing) and busses to run the busses from TTC only now. That process changed in late 2014.
would love to know first two weeks of august too!!!
As soon as I have access to them I'll post. They dragged there feet on getting last months up and appear to be doing the same this month.

Ugh. Not happy about that. It's been over 2 yrs, how long is this going to last? :sad2: They can't still be doing maintenance on it can they :confused3. Thanks for the info.

Thing to remember about the monorails, the system itself is 45 years old. The trains average about 26 years old. The trains run 365 days a year, upwards of 20hrs a day. They don't get much rest, the maintenance shop is taking any time they can to do anything that needs to be done. Weather that be something as simple as changing the tires, touching up paint, beamway patch repairs, or buss bar replacement. They are also takin pg thr time to do major projects like new systems testing, complete train refurbishments, re wires, motor replacements, new fire suppression systems etc. Until the WDW executives decide to replace the trains this current crazy schedule is going to be the norm I'm afraid. Just like an old car needs more routine maintenance all around than a new car needing just oil changes and tires, the trains are just as tired as that old car. Maybe one day we'll get new trains and this will all be behind us but for now we just have to deal with what we have.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. Hopefully sched won't be too crazy in August, staying at a monorail resort again, 4th year in a row.

Can't wait to see you on the highway in the sky. With the reduced park hours that have been happening lately the reduced rails hours have fit in with out any issues. That and they typically don't run the reduced rail hours during the busy or holiday times so hopefully it'll all be cleared up for you.
