Oh man that is what I was afraid of. There is NO WAY I would pay that much for dinner and then have to sit on the ground or worse stand. I think that is really lame and cheap on Disney's part. I am sure there are areas they could set up chairs either down by the train station (I have seen chairs set up there before) or somewhere else. We did the holiday tour once and there were chairs down kind of by the entrance to Tomorrowland. If they don't think they have enough room then only sell so many tickets or make it like Fantasmic where it is a limited number of seats with the desert boxes. To me that is REALLY lame. I would def not pay that much for that. As you said you can get your own seat on the ground. When we went we went and sat at the Jolly Holiday WAY early and then ended up getting most of our view blocked because eventhough we were in a walkway where people weren't supposed to stop they still did :/ Then on our last night we sat over by the old bank building and got blocked again. I never did get to see most of the parade or fireworks. We are hoping if we go in August we will get to see them. Nice parade pics though!
Wow!!! The parade pics are good and the food looks good
I just love the mainstreet pictures in the last update- they really capture the colours and atmosphere!
Really enjoying your trip report and all the great pictures!
Thanks for posting. I agree with previous posters. The parade pics are great!
Hi!
I never get on here anymore. I'm not sure why I've not been on here. I was thrilled to see your trip report. I should've known it was here. Silly me. Kacy's started planning our next trip. She's planning for December, 2017 for her, Kody and I to go to WDW. I'm out of my depth with it. It's a whole different animal. Disneyland is so much easier to plan.
OMG I can not believe I just found this. I am late to the party but I am loving your TR
You guys got some great pics!! My biggest goal for August is to see this again and actually SEE it this time. We waited a LONG time and then got blocked by people. Same with the fireworks!
The fireworks we moved into the street and then had tall people get in front of us......isn't that how it usually goes though? I wish they would quit allowing the on the shoulders.....one it's dangerous if someone bumps into them and you can no way see over them.
OMG I know. I have sat in the hub and waited for hours on that stupid cement only to have at the last minute someone tall come and THEN put their kid on their shoulders. And I am so sick of that mentality that the kids can't see blah blah blah. Well get there 3 hours early like we did and get a place to sit that they can. Plus I am short and I can't see either half the time so how do you justify blocking me too! And I don't want to hear that it's for the kids. BS. I have kids too AND Disney is for everyone. Can you tell this irritates me LOL. I hate the self entitled that think it is ok to come up and just stand in front of you or try to squish you out when you are on the curb or whatever. GRRRRRR
Great pics of Paint the Night parade! I agree with most everyone on here that it's an expensive package to only get to sit on the curb like other guests who arrive early. Hopefully Disneyland will change things in the near future. Can't wait to see your new Dooney & Bourke purse!
