Only two Boardway shows?

We just returned from the Wonder on April 27th. We had a wonderful time but we only had 2 shows for the 5 nights. I was so disappointed because I took my mom on her first cruise. Does anyone know why they have cut the shows back? This was my 3rd Disney cruise and on all the other cruises we had shows 4-5 nights.

Did you not have Toy Story, Golden Mickey's and Dreams? What was missing?

Typically there are 3 production shows on a cruise. For longer than 3 night cruises, they will add the "welcome aboard" show. And Pirate night typically has a movie or an individual entertainer in the WDT.

Longer cruises will add in more individual entertainers and/or the farewell show (usually Remember the Magic).

This is curious. I read another report that said the Magic recently only had 2 shows on their cruise as well.

Well, it seems that Twice Charmed (on the Magic) is being re-worked. They've apparently pulled it to allow the cast time to rehearse the show before performances onboard. DCL has been filling in the "empty" night with individual entertainers.

I was just on the Magic last week. 7 night. We had the opening night show, dreams, Rapunzel, and Susan Egan! The other nights were The Jungle Book, Magic Mike, and a comedian.

I know Toy Story is due to be replaced by a new show. A Frozen show, if I'm not mistaken (groan). Could it be that Toy Story has officially ended and they are gearing up for the new show to be premiered? (OP didn't state which show is missing.)

Like PPs, I was on the Magic at the end of March and had heard that we were one of the last cruises to see Twice Charmed before it was revamped. So my understanding is that Twice Charmed will return.

Oh I love her -- so talented and genuine. We saw her a couple of times onboard and then once on CC and got to chat with he and her husband.

I also like when they have the crew talent show -- so much talent on that ship!

Hi We were on the same cruise. They had Toy Story and Dreams only. Peter, the CD, said the Golden Mickeys was stopped the cruise before ours because they were working on some improvements and changing things back stage. The GM should be back after her Dry Dock. When we got back on the ship on the second half of the B2B we saw a ton of contractors (the Visitors) taking measurements everywhere. Many of which were going forward on deck 4 & 5 (Walt theater (4) &kids lab (5)) and even on Deck 10 Forward @ Outlook. They are prepping for the revamping I suppose.
I was very disappointed that there was no GM, I was so looking forward to that. I hope it comes back or we have to go on the Dream, I think that they have it but not sure.

It's strange that they aren't using a filler show. When we were on the Magic a couple weeks before the new Tangled show began, we got to see the Walt Disney stage show (One Man's Dream, I think?) and it was really cool to see a different show. Strange that they completely pull a show while reworking it. I don't know why they can't continue performing the "old" show until the have the "new" one ready.

This is peak DisBoards. The person just wants an opinion on the show, they never mentioned a ship.

PP should start a new thread asking about Tangled, so it won't get Tangled up in this thread about the Wonder, or was it the Magic, or Wondering what ship we're discussing.

Susan Egan is amazing.

She wasn't asking about a particular show, but why they cut the shows back. I think the answers referring to what the other ships have as compared to the Wonder flow in line with the information.

Poster Meg was asking specifically about Tangled, it was their only post in the thread.
