Bonus Holiday Trip 2015! Wrapped up 8/6 and Real life update

This picture is absolutely precious! :lovestruc

Awww, she did really well for a character meet being a bit fussy. Looks like a good morning of nicely paced fun!

Was a great start to the trip! :cheer2:

Yay sippy cup!

We really liked the Peter Pan queue, but we only did it right after 7 dwarfs on the 2 days we had pre-park BoG reservations. A 10 to 15 minute line for it is fun, any longer seems a bit insane to us. It is a very fun queue though.

Sorry about the wait for Rapunzel and Cinderella, yay for a good character meet though.

Yeah i want to get BOG lunch in next trip! I was a really good meet, and a great morning! :wizard:

Yay for finding a sippy cup! So what if it was her 2nd trip :rotfl2::thumbsup2

I just hope i don't end up with 20 of them by the end of this parenting thing! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a fun morning so far (even with a little fussiness)!

In terms of the Peter Pan queue ... it's cute, but I don't think it's worth a special trip. Maybe if you catch it with a very short wait, but I wouldn't wait more than 15-20 minutes. FP+ is still the best idea.

I have to say, much as they sometimes bug me, I think it's great that Disney has things for kids to do on ride lines. Every time I do Winnie the Pooh or Dumbo, the kids always look like they're having the time of their life. Like the play areas are more fun than the ride. That's pretty impressive!

Was a really fun morning! :cool1: I agree, i am not waiting 60 min just to see the queue!

I agree, I have mixed feelings on the entertainment in the lines, in some ways they are great and breaks up the weight, but i hate when people hold up the whole line for it.

If DD wants to play more and not move up in the line, I would let people go in front of me.

This picture is absolutely precious! :lovestruc

Thank you! :cool2:

Day 2 part 3:
DH had to send a work email. It started to rain, so I took cover in Liberty square market. DD was still up, by the time DH found me and peaked in she was asleep success!!! No mid day break needed! I was a little hungry and really wanted to try the Nutella and Fruit waffle from sleep hollow. I won't eat the whole thing! Lies all lies I ate every last bite and it was so worth it!

IMG_0389.JPG

DD was still asleep, we debated DH checking out the Hall of Presidents (We love this attraction) but the next show wasn't for 15 minutes. Instead he opted for haunted mansion, he missed it last trip since DD was sleeping and he stayed out with her. Wait said 20 minutes I believe but not positive, he also got a red card!

While I was waiting I did some quick loops and then saw chip and dale coming out and only a few people waiting so I decided to go for a meet! DD was still sleeping but we got some cute pictures.... The snack tray is kinda blocking her face but I didn't want to risk waking her by moving it.

C&D.jpg

After Chip and Dale we wait for DH. We had a 130 FP for Buzz and. 2:20 lunch at The Plaza so I wanted to be at buzz around 130. We had a little bit of time to kill so we went to see how long the Minnie and Daisy waits were at storybook circus but they were 25 minutes so we passed. We decided to walk over to Tomorrow land and ride one of our favs! The people mover! As we arrived DD woke up!

I love love love this ride! DH said he especially loves it at night... But we wouldn't be getting a ride in at night this trip!

After our ride around Tomorrow land it was time for Buzz! I lost, but I'll use holding DD as the excuse! (Not at all the reason). But i made sure to smile for the Camera!

Buzz.jpg

Then we headed to the plaza for lunch, some pics on the way!

Castle.jpg

It was starting to drizzle but there was covered space for the stroller, by the time we found a place to relax and wait for our table the buzzer was going off.

I got the veggie sandwich, DH got the vegetarian burger, and DD got grilled cheese with grapes, apples and juice. DD had to be hungry and at first she didn't have much interest but in the end she ate over half the grilled cheese almost all the grapes and some apples. Juice is a major treat as we try to limit how much she has, but I was worried she wasn't getting enough water since she didn't have a familiar cup, so i kept adding more water to the juice and felt good she got some more liquids. We also got vanilla ice cream for desert! YUM!

Over all i really liked The Plaza, reasonably priced, good location, and good food, we all enjoy what we got.

After lunch we headed to the baby care center, quickly as FoF should be arriving shortly. After we took care of business there, we got lucky as FoF was coming up to the hub we were able to grab a spot, further back but with a good view of the floats, which was perfect. DD really seemed to enjoy it, waving, saying hi and dancing around, a highlight for me for sure. No good pictures, but this is the best one i have of her at the parade.

Parade.jpg

After checking out the parade we decided to walk around a bit before heading to Epcot, no real goal here just to see some sights and take it all in. This is when my left arm started to kill me! DD would say Dada Dada, all day long but she would much prefer me to hold her. For short periods of time this isn't an issue, but for long periods its a lot for me. We had a good little system going, getting off any ride DD would just take her, and she did ok, but if we let her walk and she got tired only I would do. Its hard because I don't want her freaking out, or unhappy, but I just can't hold her for that long!

Anyway on with our walk, we walk through Adventureland, and then on to Frontierland, we got to Country Bear Jamboree another personal fav, and a show was starting in about 2 minutes so we decided to jump in. We all enjoyed it! We now agreed it was time to head to Epcot, but first Starbucks! So we headed to Starbucks and while DH went in me and DD went shopping, we got a Mickey! It was funny i would say do you want this, NO, do you want this NO... i think she really meant Yes haha!

We also got some more Photopass pictures on our way out, and I just LOVE this one!

Glad you found the sippy cup!

I kinda wish the FP for Peter Pan didn't skip the queue - I feel the same way that I really want to see it but will not wait an hour just to see it

bummer about the large group and cutter getting in front of you in line - I am sure that felt like a lot longer than 20 mins with a fussy toddler! Glad that she was good at the meet though so the wait was worth it!

Things really worked out with the nap that day - and she woke just in time for people mover so that is great!

glad you enjoyed your lunch (one place we haven't tried but I hear lots of good things about it and the reasonable prices for a table service location) and awesome you got to see FoF with not having to wait a long time. It got rained out our last trip so seeing that parade is a major priority for our next trip!

Joining in!

I'm so sad that the Osborne lights won't be returning. We saw them in 2009 and it was amazing. I'm glad you got to see them one last time! I can't believe your bus took so long to get there, though!

Looks like a great MK day. Your DD is so cute!

You got some really adorable pics!! Reading your TR reminds me what it's like to have a napping kid on a trip lol...I remember it well...(mine are 10 and 13 now lol) but you kind of plan around it but you want them to not be cranky and...just puts some extra logistics into everything lol!

Okay, so I've never had the Nutella and Fruit Waffle, but just from looking at it ... why wouldn't you eat the whole thing? That looks amazing. Plus, it has fruit, so it's healthy.

I love the Chip 'n' Dale picture! Even with the sleeping DD ... it's super cute.

You look beautiful in your Buzz Lightyear picture. Your husband ... not so much.

I'm entirely convinced that when kids say "no" when you ask if they want something, they're trying to con you into buying it. I don't know why they think it works, but I swear I've seen that happen.

I'm back and all caught up! :thumbsup2

Day 1 part 1 - Travel!

tumblr_inline_mond6jYieK1qz4rgp.gif

Oh my gush!! What a cutie pie!! I wanna smush his wittle face!! :dog2:

Regular Pack and Play mattresses have no cushion, and sh hates it (and I imagine 99% of other kids)!

She has a point! I think 99% of adults would hate that too! ::yes:: :rotfl:

We head to our room 60's section (my only request) room 5214 facing the lake! I

Woohoo!!

Overall it took an hour and 36 minutes to get from the POP to Hollywood studios... We got off the bus at 744! :scared1:

Despicable-Me-Minion-Saying-What.gif

DD was a trooper as were most people but no one knows for sure what happened, some said just Osborn light traffic, others said accident......

I thought I read somewhere that during the last few days of the Osborne lights people were having to park at AK and be bussed over! :scared1: Crazy!! :faint:

Awwwww :goodvibes

I miss the lights so much already!

I was sad DD was sleeping through the whole thing!

Well there is always next ye---oh wait...

Great first day! Just so happy to be here!!!:D

I won't eat the whole thing! Lies all lies I ate every last bite and it was so worth it!

I say that everytime...I eat anything! :rotfl:

Awww! :goodvibes

I lost, but I'll use holding DD as the excuse! (Not at all the reason)

Hey isn't that the main reason to have kids? So you can blame stuff like that on them? :scratchin :rotfl:

It was funny i would say do you want this, NO, do you want this NO... i think she really meant Yes haha!

Just like me in a shoe store "Do you want those shoes?" "No" <internally screaming yes> :rotfl:

Success indeed. So jealous. My daughter never once fell asleep in her stroller and only in her car seat until she was about a year. All our disney trips required hotel returns for some napping which completely ate into the day. You all are very lucky!

I was a little hungry and really wanted to try the Nutella and Fruit waffle from sleep hollow. I won't eat the whole thing! Lies all lies I ate every last bite and it was so worth it!

Worth it indeed. Love this thing!

This picture is perfection.

You summed up the plaza pretty darn perfectly.

We also got some more Photopass pictures on our way out, and I just LOVE this one!

As you should. She is beautiful! Great photo

I kinda wish the FP for Peter Pan didn't skip the queue - I feel the same way that I really want to see it but will not wait an hour just to see it

Agreed, would be nice to check out the queue with out the hour wait.... oh well:confused3

I am sure that felt like a lot longer than 20 mins with a fussy toddler!
totally.... felt way longer!

Things really worked out with the nap that day - and she woke just in time for people mover so that is great!
I am lucky in that DD loves to sleep as much as me and DH....and will sleep pretty much anywhere... now if only she would sleep past 7am on a Saturday....

glad you enjoyed your lunch (one place we haven't tried but I hear lots of good things about it and the reasonable prices for a table service location) and awesome you got to see FoF with not having to wait a long time. It got rained out our last trip so seeing that parade is a major priority for our next trip!
I recommend the Plaza for sure, its good basic food, but good and quick. Def check out FoF, i enjoyed it both times i have seen it and both times we didn't steak out a spot....

Joining in!

I know! I am so sad the lights are going away..... I am hoping they bring them back to another location or at least something similar.

OMG, that looks delicious! I must remember this spot!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! It was on my must eat list, so I made sure to get it!

Good job - I'm not sure how you folks are all so photogenic! I obviously need much more practice at Disney World!
haha:rotfl: Not true, i am just VERY selective about what I post:thumbsup2

Another good place to remember! I've never eaten at table service restaurants, but depending on my appetite, I'm going to venture into some new restaurants next trip.
This is a good TS for MK, not a crazy long meal, good quick food, and not pricey either!

Awww, so glad it was good. I'm looking forward to the parade as well. Maybe I will dance around too!
Was so fun, I recommend it, including the dancing!:dancer:

I now miss those days of snuggles!
I know i will totally miss it, i try to savor, sometimes in the moment its hard, but i do try she will only be little for so long...

Adorable!
Thank you!

You got some really adorable pics!! Reading your TR reminds me what it's like to have a napping kid on a trip lol...I remember it well...(mine are 10 and 13 now lol) but you kind of plan around it but you want them to not be cranky and...just puts some extra logistics into everything lol!
Thank you! It is so important to me to take as many pictures as possible to remember the trips! It does add a layer to the planning, but i am so happy i am doing it anyway the memories will be worth it!

Okay, so I've never had the Nutella and Fruit Waffle, but just from looking at it ... why wouldn't you eat the whole thing? That looks amazing. Plus, it has fruit, so it's healthy.
I am going to try and recreate it at home, cant be that hard right? YUM!

I love the Chip 'n' Dale picture! Even with the sleeping DD ... it's super cute.
Thank you!

You look beautiful in your Buzz Lightyear picture. Your husband ... not so much.
:rotfl: I am not going to tell him you said that but, i kinda agree, i am not going to tell him that either....

I'm entirely convinced that when kids say "no" when you ask if they want something, they're trying to con you into buying it. I don't know why they think it works, but I swear I've seen that happen
Totally! Its like a test, how much can i get her to buy me with out asking... :rotfl2:

Oh my gosh! I didn't even realise that you had this TR going! Bad DISer award for me! :headache:

I neeeeed to go and catch up!!! But I have to say this photo is sooooo adorable! :goodvibes
:welcome:

Oh my gush!! What a cutie pie!! I wanna smush his wittle face!! :dog2:
Thank you! He is my first baby!

100% that thing sucks!

RIGHT? Like UGH! but we made it!

haha!:rotfl: I am hoping they bring them back or at least something similar...

totally in my top 5 reasons

I will say i am really lucky here... She loves to sleep and will sleep anywhere... now if only she would sleep past 7am on a Saturday! You know this means i have totally jinxed myself and if i ever have a 2nd kid they will never sleep like ever right?

Worth it indeed. Love this thing!
I know love it! I think I may try to recreate it at home... cant be that hard right?:scratchin

This picture is perfection.
thank you!

As you should. She is beautiful! Great photo

Day 2 Part 4 - Epcot

After our coffee we headed out of the park. We decided to take the boat to the TTC and then the monorail to Epcot. It was a really nice ride. We got some photo pass pictures (a liked a lot from this 2 stops... so a little pic overload to start the updated, but enjoy them because the rest of the update lacks pictures)

Doing out best stitch!

More Pics!

We made another stop in the Baby Care Center, I used this opportunity to put DD in some pants. Our plan for the evening was stroll around world showcase, and catch some of the candlelight processional, Gary Sinise was the narrator. It was about 530 at this point, so I figured we could see some of the 645 show.

As we were walking the world showcase DD spotted Donald in Mexico and well she went crazy! Donald Donald and trying to run to him! We decided I would get in line and wait and DH would watch her.

She kept trying to run to Donald, it was really cute! But then it was our turn and well we weren't loving Donald any more haha :rotfl2:! But we got a few cute pics! So I was feeling pretty good about the characters at this point.

DD.jpg
Finally getting to Donald......
DD2.jpg
UMM He is really big can I leave now?
DD3.jpg
MADE ESCAPE!

We picked up some margaritas in Mexico and continued our stroll.

We stopped in Germany to get my pickle ornament I love it! I also picked one up for my in laws. ( I don't seem to have a picture, and its packed away with the holiday stuff so here is a picture from the internet).

large-pickle-4-inch.jpg

We got to America and oh boy I did not realize how crazy the lines get for candlelight processional! Crazy!! They were SO LONG, I was in shock!

We shopped around in America and waited for the show to start. Funny moment it had started but we hadn't heard Gary Sinise yet, DH is in the America store and as Gary Sinise starts talking, DH comes running out Lieutenant Dan Lieutenant Dan..... But as he is running to me yelling I'm saying to DD dad is missing Lieutenant Dan.. Haha only us, people may have thought we were crazy..... we probably only stayed about 20 minutes and then decided to move on....

At this point I was really happy I didn't do the package, no way DD could have waited on that line and then sat through it. DH was over it with in twenty minutes, and to be honest I could take it or leave it.

What I saw of the show was really lovely, it just wasn't for us...

We had another drink, walked around, made a stop for some snacks/dinner in France. I love the bakery items, we had a pizza type thing (not really pizza, but no idea how to describe it a flat bread?) and a cheese sandwich, as always it was really good. (And as usual no pictures).

Then it was probably a little after 730 and we decided to call it a night.

We walked back to the front of Epcot, for a bus and think we were back in the room around 815 Not sure. DD got a bath tonight and then we attempted the pack and play again....

Utter fail! We sat behind the bed by the door and put her down... She would be good for 5 minutes then stand up and scream, rinse and repeat...as mentioned before I am not totally against letting her cry sometimes, but this was pitiful and I didn't really want to disturb other people in the hotel.

In the end around 9 maybe I put her in bed with me and she was out in 10 minutes. Once she was sleep I played on my phone for a bit, relaxed, got stuff ready for tomorrow. DH was sleep by 915.

Over all an amazing day!

Love the PP pictures, especially the ones with the "claws out"

very cute meet with Donald

Sorry things weren't better with the candle light procession, but like you said, good thing you didn't get the package

Love it!! Lieutenant Dan lol so funny. I know what you mean about not wanting to let the baby cry in hotels...we had that happen a lot when ours were little. I hope everyone ended up sleeping well after that!

Love the Donald pictures! We never got to see the Donald in Mexico this trip, the kids chose the ride over meeting Donald (we had time for one or the other at one point).

Early nights are nice and yes, baby in bed and quiet can be much better especially in a hotel, then baby screaming in a pack and play.

Ah, I missed so many updates!

No mid day break needed! I was a little hungry and really wanted to try the Nutella and Fruit waffle from sleep hollow. I won't eat the whole thing! Lies all lies I ate every last bite and it was so worth it!

This is on my list to try! It looks so good!

Aw, cute picture! I love characters with sleeping kids!

Glad you enjoyed lunch at The Plaza! We have an ADR here in May and I'm pretty excited to try it out!

Fun evening in Epcot - love all of the family pictures! We did the same thing and just listened to the Candlelight Processional for a few minutes. It was NPH our week and I would have loved to see it if I was by myself. But there was no way the boys would sit through that!

Sorry about DD and the pack and play. I went through the same thing with my oldest son. At least she got some rest once in the bed with you!

Looks like a great night in Epcot. Complete with my favorites, drinks and snacks ; ) Love the Donald Duck story. I'm sure she will laugh at this sometime when she is older.

I can't believe how packed the candlelight show was. We've never been during Christmas so I had no idea. Sounds like chaos. Lieutenant Dan or not I don't think even I could have waited that long.

Poor baby not being able to sleep. I'm totally with you on the crying thing. A few years back a kid cried in the room next to us for at least 2 hours straight. Turns out the next morning I ran into the mother and the kid had gotten outside and was locked out of the room. How they slept through that I have no idea
