Question of the Day - February 10
giphy.gif

It's... WOOHOO WEDNESDAY!!!

We've made it to the middle of the week. Now is the time to celebrate.
What will you share that has you dancing like Wall-e and Eve?

What are you celebrating today?
(It can be anything - the sky is the limit!)

Bonus: For those who have Disney vacations coming up, how many more days until you're "home"?

My biggest woohoo is Disney related. Yesterday I got delivered a large amount of Disney gift cards (work incentives) that pretty much paid off my April Dark Side trip. It felt nice to have the realization that aside from my flight, I'm paying nothing out of pocket for this trip as far as the hotel and park tickets go. I have at least another few hundred coming my way as well so I'm just really excited/relieved.

Before I answer the bonus please be reminded I am single, I live alone, and I don't have children. I also don't have to coordinate my trips with other people so it makes it all easier.

I'm going to DW in April for the Dark Side race weekend. I am soooo excited that I'll be hitting Flower and Garden again this year. Then in May I'll be packing up and heading out to DL (FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!) for the Tinkerbell race weekend. Then thanks to @courtneybeth and her amazing idea of avenge the strip lite I'll be heading back to DL in November. I never thought I'd go once never mind twice in one year. I can't wait to see DL all dressed up for Christmas and the overlay on Haunted Mansion.

I really want to take a fourish day trip at the beginning of October and get the Halloween party. It'll also be a good job pat on the back for the monster of a challenge I've set up for myself at the end of September.

April is close enough that I'm starting to get annoyingly excited and twitchy about this trip.

:goodvibes I had to smile at your disclaimer as I often put something similar before I post my trip plans. No kids, travelling a long distance and having 6 weeks of paid vacation every year (which is quite the standard here in Germany) I tend to take very long trips to Disney. My nect one will include some time with my boyfriend's family in Southern Florida, one week on the Disney Fantasy and 10 nights at VWL afterwards. Unfortunately it is still a long time until that trip.

Your plans are amazing and I hope you will love Disneyland!! It is really wonderful (I think Disneyland is my favourite overall Disney park!).

YES PENCIL SKIRT!!!! One of my most favorite items of clothing!

I really hope you guys make a race weekend next year!! (Do princess...)

I have 3 different colors. I love them too. They make me feel so confident.

That's what we're looking at! I really wanna Dopey but I don't think I could possibly be prepared to do it in less than a year. Especially since my first half marathon won't be til November. So I'm thinking Princess weekend is a good contender. Maybe the Star Wars half weekend....Are you doing Princess next year?

Try to weigh a few times a week or something like every three days it's hard to resist but you'll keep some more of your sanity. Can you work out after work? I noticed that once I realized I could in fact do things in the evenings it became a lot easier for me to do them, and a lot more enjoyable. I'm am not now, and will never be a morning person.

Also you're wife is wrong and needs to be swayed. Disney is always a good idea haha.

Right now I walk 45 min before work, and then walk/jog 45 min after work. I'm thinking of just going with the after work workout. Now that I've hit my first critical goal, I think I can dial it back a little with the length of the workout and work more on the intensity of the workout.

In my phone, I have my goal weight for each Monday listed which works out to losing 2 1/2 each week. Even though I do weigh myself each day, my main goal is always to hit my Monday goal weight. So far I'm ahead, so gaining 1/2 lb from yesterday is not that big a deal in the long run, but it does stink when the scale goes the wrong way.

All this talk about Disney Land has me thinking... I might be better off trying to sell a trip to DL to my wife than DW. Our family has never been, and we could combine it with a trip to San Diego where one of her college roommates lives. We have enough points for three of the four flights... hmmmmmmm.

I had my first meal of solid foods this morning - so that's a step in the right direction. Let's see if I can keep it down - just a bowl of cheerios. Trying to get back to my regular eating routine.

103 days according to the countdown app on my phone, which means 101 days until I walk at graduation. I am so ready. I wish it was tomorrow!! :)

We're hitting Flower and Garden the last weekend (May)! You'll have to let me know how it is :)

Super excited for Disneyland and it being your first time. You'll have to let me know your exact days in town so we can hang out and I can show you around Disneyland :)

(Which reminds me -- I'll have to make our breakfast reservation for sure!)

We're thinking about going down that weekend! It's Memorial Day so DH has that Monday off... But at the same time, it's Memorial Day weekend, and I'm afraid the crowds would be insane!

my Woohoo is that my mom is coming home from the hospital today after a successful knee surgery.. My hubs got offered a new position in his company that would come with a bit of a raise (which will help us pay off those dang CC's that is keeping us from getting a home loan right this second) and my federal tax return came today (again going to pay off those pesky CC's) it's Sunny here in Maine but the cold temps are pushing in (high on the weekend is only to be 15 and lows -12!) Love that everyone seems to be having a great day today.. (and if you are not HUGS HUGS HUGS till you do)

My Disney ticker is set to Dec 15 of this year but it all hinges on if we get the home loan.. if we do it wont be till 2018 likely along with our 10th anniversary plans for a cruise.. which is perfectly fine by me as long as it results in getting the home loan..

We're going to be there May 23-28 -- our Magical Depress bus picks us up at around noon on that Saturday, after Ohana breakfast. If you do end up going, please let me know so we can at least grab a cake pop or something.

(But I'll probably see you at the Nashville Rock n Roll race, right? :) )

Hmmmmm my woohoo Wednesday.....
I will woohoo that it is hump day, looking forward to the weekend already!
I will also woohoo that I had a cheat day on Monday, for my boyfriend's birthday and I wasn't nearly as interested in eating bad as I thought I would be.
I did the highest resistance on my stationary bike last night for 30 minutes while catching up on my DVR

I only have 71 one days until I go to Orlando for a long weekend, with one day at WDW. And I have 293 days until my BIG trip to WDW in November with my BF!!

WooHoo for today -- I did my last long run before the Glass Slipper challenge next week! It was a horrible, miserable run, but I did it, stuck it out and its done:) I planned to do it outside, I knew it would be cold, but that was okay. Well, I woke up to it snowing, fairly heavily and they hadn't treated the roads at all (the storm wasn't due until lunchtime) so the roads were all covered. With the races so close I did not want to take any chances of slipping or the snow covering things in the road that I then step on because I don't see them and roll my ankle. So, I went to my gym and did it on the indoor track. 12 miles, going in circles. 228 circles, because each mile was 19 laps of the track. I can't use the treadmill right now due to an ankle injury about a month ago. It took way longer than it should have because the four corners are very sloped and it started messing with my right knee after 8 miles. But I didn't give up, and it is done!

Bonus answer: 1 week:cool1: I leave for WDW a week from today and should be eating lunch at Hollywood Studios (it does exist;)) at this time next Wednesday. So excited. I will be at Boardwalk Villas the first two nights, then the Bay Lake Tower from Friday until Tuesday. Very excited and can't wait to complete my third (and last for a while) Glass Slipper Challenge. I just have to finish my costumes. I am Ursula for the 5k, my DD7 will be Ariel and my Mom will be Flounder. For the 10k I am peasant Cinderella, my sister is Provincial Belle. And for the half I am Daisy Duck, sister is Minnie.

First of all, I laugh at your "it does exist" comment :rotfl:

GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK! You're going to do great - and please post pictures of your running costumes. I'm sure you're going to look fab-u-lous!

On the treadmill for a minute... Thoughts on this? - is it better to do walk for 15 minutes 3 times a day (for example) or better to walk for 45 minutes once a day? Which is more beneficial? I'm not sure my attention span can handle 45 in one fell swoop.

Edit: I guess my question is, do you think it's any LESS beneficial to break it up into several 15 minute segments vs. one lengthy segment, especially when the alternative is basically not walking at all?

I actually have a few woohoo's. First even though I have been sick for the last week with a nasty head cold I have not gone off my plan. I also stayed with in my calories each day of our three day hockey tournament. I skipped the usual drinks at night to make it happen. I also went down to the hotels gym and used their treadmill. It has to be the worst treadmill I have ever been on but I stuck it out.

We leave in 58 days to spend one night at AKL and then go on a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy. No park tickets we are going to go to DTD and enjoy the resort since we have never stayed there.

We stayed there Christmas 2014 and had a blast - make sure you have a Savannah view room :) We were at Kidani, but the animals at both locations are AWESOME.

Recommend eating at Sanaa for bread service or Jiko for the filet and mac-n-cheese.

I just always have random guilt so inthrow in disclaimers. I've gotten some hate before from someone who's jealous about how much I'm able to go. So I always throw out the five million reasons why I can.

Not an expert, but my doctor has told me that for weight loss, it's completely neutral - calories burned are calories burned, but that it's better for your heart to do the 45 minutes. So it depends upon the purpose, really.

Calories burned are calories burned. You can select the FitBit app to track all of your exercise and MyFitnessPal will add it all together and do the calories. I would break it up so it's not as 'boring' or what-not. Or mix it up - three shorter walks and one longer walk on varying days.
